“W-what?”
“He told me if I didn't do the things he told me to, au if I fought him, he would hurt you.”
Robin stared at her for a minute.
“Why were wewe there?” she whispered.
“Huh?”
“Why did wewe onyesha up? I had no clue where I was. Why did wewe find me?”
“Because I wanted to tell wewe something. Something that I should've told wewe a long time ago. Something I wanted him to hear. I was there because wewe needed me and...”
“And...?”
“And I needed you. But I couldn't say what I still need to say because he was all over wewe and I grew...”
“Yes?”
“Jealous. I became jealous and upset when I saw him hurting and hanging on something I always thought that was...”
“That was...?”
“Mine.”
Becca froze. Her moyo beat faster. If anyone had asked what she felt, if anyone found out about this conversation at all, Becca would have no answer. Hearing Robin utter that one word left everything inside of her still. Robin came close to her, pulling off his shades. No longer did the hero known as Robin stand before her. Now it was Dick Grayson, ward of Bruce Wayne. The intense look in his eyes set her moyo on fire. Becca threw her arms around his neck, attaching her lips to his. Arms wrapped around her, threatening to never let go. She melted into him and he grabbed on of her hands, entwining their fingers together.
His moyo melted at her embrace. He had her back. He had his Sparrow. He kissed her as passionately as possible. She needed to know just how much he truly loved her. Just how much he needed her with him. Because without Becca, his life was worthless. Without Becca, his moyo would die. Her kiss ignited all of his nerves. He wanted her. He would never let her go. Having someone else hold her; it was the worst experience he had survived. He never wanted to go through those months where he had assumed his upendo was one-sided. He never wanted Becca to be out of arm's reach. He never wanted to be without this. Bust most of all, he never wanted to see Becca in the arms of another.
“Dick...” she moaned. “Never...promise we won't ever...seperate again...”
“Never again. I promise.”
Becca pulled away, resting her forehead on his. He looked in her eyes, sighing deeply.
“Oh my little bird,” he breathed. “I almost Lost you. How did I ever let wewe go?”
“You doubted. But I always knew.”
“Never again. This time, it's real.”
“And true?”
“Yes my love. Forever. I upendo you.”
Becca's eyes watered but she just smiled.
“I upendo wewe Dick!”
She brought her lips back to his for an intimate kiss before pulling away again. She looked down and Dick smiled at the pleased shock on her face. She looked at the ring on her finger, a few tears escaping her heart. It was new, pure silver. The markings of hearts and robins were the same. But there was a little black diamond in the center, carved like a rose. She brought her eyes to Dick's again, melting at his intense gaze.
“Never shall anyone claim you. wewe are mine. This ring proves it.”
Becca smiled and he kissed her several zaidi times before bringing her into a passionate embrace. An inner voice spoke into his moyo like a song.
Abandon the fear, urn away from doubt. Embrace love. Embrace the warrior that lights your moyo on fire. upendo her. upendo her. upendo her forever.
As Becca's loving kiss plunged him into a whirling sensation, Dick trapped her against the balcony, knowing he never wanted to live with out her. He answered the voice in his heart, meaning the words.
