The two teenagers packed their bags and checked out of the hotel before heading out into the damp, gloomy morning.

The front door opened as Grace Emilia Ross walked through it. She looked around. "Sasmootch?" she called for her dog questioningly, when she heard the back door close. "Hello?" she asked. I opened my eyes to find a strange girl looking at me. She was beautiful. She had clear green eyes, wavy reddish machungwa, chungwa hair and wings. Wait, WINGS?! Did that mean I was dead?! I grasped my heart, to feel if it was beating. It was. It also felt almost scorched.
