On one side of the coin, Kate would be a great fixture for ratings. People upendo to hear her talk about her eight children, and zaidi infrequently her failed marriage with Jon. Just look at the tabloid sales for evidence--fans seem to enjoy hearing zaidi about Jon and Kate Gosselin's personal lives zaidi than they do watching "Jon and Kate Plus 8."
However, there also is the potential for disaster with Kate being on a hosting panel. She is an extremely polarizing figure, and there are many moms who don't agree with some of her harsher techniques. There have been reports of Kate spanking her children in the past, and there is also a video on Youtube of her denying daughter Mady water during a press event. Her ujumla, jumla performance on "The View" was also lukewarm, as she often had difficulty voicing her opinion and often needed to be called upon to put things in perspective.
Ultimately Paula Deen will have to decide whether Kate's benefits outweigh her potential problems.

While Kate shoots her talk show, her "Jon and Kate Plus 8" co-star Jon will also reportedly be in New York (at least for a little while). He just finished up an appearance for a Buffalo theme park yesterday, where he spent much of the time signing autographs (for free, and not $7 as a local paper originally reported) and taking pictures with fans.
