Favourite Ballgowns: link

Favourite Formal Dresses: link

10) Mulan's Green / Multi-coloured Dress

I don't like this dress. The juu green part really suits her so does the red sash. But the rest of the colours doesn't do her any favours.

9) Aurora's Cottage / Forest Dress

This is proof that Aurora looks good in any thing. It's a very plain dull looking dress, but Aurora's graceful movements and natural beauty make it seem elegant. But I can't put it any higher because the grey makes it too dreary!

8) Snow White's Forest Dress

I don't like the back-collar high neck piece. The skirt, upindo is too pale for my taste. I like the bright yellow they use for the skirt, upindo in the franchise sometimes (or mostly). I also don't like that the shoulder pad-sleeves are a different shade of blue from the shade of the bodice, it looks very strange. But other than that it's looks cute on Snow White and it's a classic.

7) Pocahontas' Native Dress

In terms of the dress, she doesn't stand out from the rest of women of her tribe until her father gives her the necklace. Inside the movie I like her dress but not as much as her necklace, natural beauty and personality.

6) Cinderella's Blue Work Dress

Cindy wears this as a rebellion against Prudence's rules about what to wear for Royal Duties. She also wears it throughout "Dreams Come True" as her everyday dress in the Palace. The reason why this dress in here instead of her original movie servant dress is because I'm putting her original one under "Rags" because in a way that's exactly what it is. I like this dress. It doesn't bother me one bit that it's mostly blue. I'll admit the apron is a bit too bright but it's better to copy the shade from Ariel than have another dress copied from both Belle and Alice. That's if Cinderella's apron had been white instead of bright blue. Dark blue looks lovely on her.

5) Tiana's Yellow Dress

This is actually duller than I remember it being. But it's still bright at the edges and I think it looks lovely with her skintone, even if green suits her more. It's a simple dress that slightly looks like a blouse at the collar. It's in the juu five because the uhuishaji quality for me is just as important as the dresses. The Princess and Frog uhuishaji quality is pretty wow for 2D.

4) Jasmine's Aqua Bedlah

I loved this outfit throughout the first movie but when it kept re-appearing for The Return of Jafar, the TV series and then the franchise, I started to hate it. It'll always remain my favourite version in the first movie because the uhuishaji doesn't have the same awe quality after that.

3) Ariel's Town Dress

She wore this to tour Eric's kingdom, the romantic mashua ride, sunset then on the wedding boat. I didn't use to like this dress but now it's growing on me. It's blue and cool, it goes well with her hair and her eyes. Plus the big bow in her hair makes her look pretty, especially for the romantic mashua ride.

2) Belle's Village Dress

It's simple but a lovely soft colour and it stands out from the clothing colours that everyone else is wearing in the village. Which is either rich colours au bright colours. Only Belle is wearing something soft, flowing and light in colour. I've glad they didn't put in the same shade of blue as Alice because the hair would've clashed I think. I think this dress is a classic and looks wonderful against the Autumn colours of the movie.

1) Rapunzel's Tower Dress

This dress blows the other dresses out the water. It's purple! It's pink! And it's detailed in patterns! It's gorgeous. It's a proper nyumbani dress. Well a nyumbani dress of the middle ages that is, like Snow White's but zaidi comfortable. It's just so pretty and I upendo it!

My orodha hasn't changed all that much but I thought after rewatching Aladin I would write an updated list.

13. Merida- Not a fan, I'm all for female empowerment but I don't like her attitude. She is just so rude & I do not find her likeable.

12. Elsa- She just really bugs me. I can't think of any other reasons but she just aggravates me.

11. Anna- Not keen on her either. She is not as bad as the other two but I'm not a fan, moving on.

10. Tiana- She is too much of a workaholic. I get that she has dreams to run her own restaurant but she can have fun once in awhile.

9. Jasmine- jimmy, hunitumia has really...

Thought this was really the perfect time for this light read considering which months I think each DP represents the best. :D I did this based on personality and my perception of how those personalities relate to the 4 seasons as well as each month. I hope wewe guys enjoy! My apologies to non-Americans as this is heavily based on my American connotations with these months especially in regards to American holidays. Hope wewe guys don't mind!

November: Tiana
Thanksgiving has always been my absolute inayopendelewa #1 holiday! I upendo it because it brings people together over a great meal, just like James'...

Here's my orodha of Disney Princess couples, it's primarily based on what connected with me in their relationship and what i find admirable. I do have some ifs and buts with few couples but that's just my way of looking at how a relationship grow

1. Mulan and Shang:
Theirs a relation that I actually look up to with great admiration and respect. They both were mature to handle a relationship before falling for each other. Their upendo grew out of mutual trust, understanding and respect rather than romantic feelings. It is to not say that romantic feelings are not true au valuable, it's my personal...

I upendo art! I upendo culture, history, muziki and I upendo art. I have done some posts and kura za maoni about the Disney Princesses in reference to music, culture and fashion but not art yet so I thought I would do that next. I like to think of the Disney Princesses as "cultured" young women who have manners, etiquette, decent universal knowledge and appreciation for the arts. So, in my theory of the Disney Princesses being cultured, albeit each at their own levels, here are the paintings that I think each Disney Princess would upendo the most. (I could probably find a van Gogh for each of them as I absolutely...

Because I am still in a musical mood but also ready for the "autumn/Halloween" mood, I'd like to incorporate the two! There aren't many DP villain songs ujumla, jumla but I came up with at least 9 that were good enough to use for the sake of this countdown. I rated each of the songs against how villainous the lyrics were, how villainous the muziki sounds, how villainous the scene that accompanies the song in the film is and how villainous is the goal of the villain (or just the villain itself) imba the song? I ranked each song in the 4 categories and then ranked them ujumla, jumla kwa accumulative "evil"...

Okay so I tried to seek others' opinions for this who connect with Merida zaidi than I do. I realized that there are makala on here for the ranking of every princess except for Merida and I didn't think there should be any reason for her to be excluded. I always found these makala to be so neat though so I hope the Merida-fans will appreciate this. I'm completely open to any changes with zaidi input.

12. Aurora: General consensus seems to be that Merida would get along with Aurora the absolute least, most likely for their opposite in characters. Aurora rates duty, grace/manners, love/romance...

5. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs

I noticed that sadness seems to be the most maarufu emotion among people and it’s understandable, no matter how strong wewe are, nothing hits wewe harder than life. True wewe should try your best to get out of a bad situation but in the process, it’s good to make the best out of it. It’s important to be grateful and remember how blessed wewe are, a positive attitude goes a long way in order to enjoy your life.

4. Brave

What I really like with Brave is that it’s easy to relate to because disagreements and miscommunication...

1. The iconic song “Part of Your World,” was almost cut from The Little Mermaid.
2. “Can wewe Feel the upendo Tonight” was also almost cut from The Lion King. Elton John, who saw the film with the song removed, told producers they needed to put it back in.
3. Aladdin’s face was modeled after Tom Cruise’s.
4. And Ariel was partially modeled after Alyssa Milano.
5. The Jungle Book was the last animated film Walt Disney personally supervised; it was released 10 months after his death.
6. John Lennon turned down Walt Disney Studios’ request for the Beatles to provide the voices of the vultures...

Ah, feminism and Disney Princess. Such a complicated relationship. Now I'm not an expert, especially being a guy but the topic of feminism in relation to the DPs has always intrigued me. I'm gonna try my hand at ranking the princesses in terms of agency, independence, heroism and other aspects to figure out which one of them is the most feminist. I'm trying to expand my uandishi skills so this is gonna be mgawanyiko, baidisha into three parts, starting with the bottom four.

WARNING: No Anna and Elsa in this countdown, so let's begin.

11. Aurora
Sorry guys, but I'm one of those people who believes that feminism...

Yesterday I wrote an makala about my inayopendelewa song from each DP Movie, today I'm doing an makala about my inayopendelewa song scene from each DP Movie, the only requirement for this was that the song in the scene has to mainly be sung kwa a character from the movie (this rule doesn't apply to Brave), also the song scene can of course have two songs in the scene

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - With A Smile And A Song

This movie has many great song scenes, it was actually a bit hard to pick a favorite, but this one is currently my favorite, first of all it has one my inayopendelewa songs from the...

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs - Someday My Prince Will Come

This is my inayopendelewa DP Song, it's such a beautiful song despite it's short length, many of the lyrics are lovely and Snow White's voice is so beautiful. This song always makes me emotional everytime I listen...

Hello to everybody! Here's the sekunde part of one of the most romantic countdowns ever! I'm very happy with the results, but I wished some kisses eliminated very soon were here, in the top. I hope you'll enjoy this makala and see wewe in the inayofuata countdown!

15.Tiana and Naveen: Final Kiss.

The juu 15 is open with Tiana and Naveen's kiss during the finale of Princess and the Frog. I like this kiss, it's my inayopendelewa of this couple. I hope it should have been higher.

They had already kiss, and it doesn't have the same impact. ~Popcornfan
