I like two or three of them. I hate two of them. The Moderns are a really mixed bag.

I don't know- I hate that this generation of princesses is supposed to represent this unrealistic idea of superwomen who can do anything without no man, but Rapunzel is the only one I really dislike. Elsa can bother me but I don't strongly dislike her, Merida and Tia are all right and I love Anna.

I agree with AudreyFreak I'm not crazy about the message that they're trying to say with them. Plus Tiana and Elsa are the only to I like that much.

While I like Rapunzel, Tiana, and aspects of Merida, I don't like Anna, Elsa, and other aspects of Merida.

First we complain that they aren't making DPs that are single. Now, we suddenly think it's a bad massage.
I think I like both ideas. How you use both ideas is what counts if it's a bad massage or not. Like if you put no force on the DP being with the guy like they did on Elsa. Then, It doesn't effect anything. But if you force it on like they did on Merida... Then it's just annoying. Bu, Still doesn't feel like they made a bad massage. Little Kids are supposed to be the age graphic for this set of movies. And I don't think it is a bad thing. That they are trying to say "You don't need a man to give you your happy ending.". Tiana could have gotten her restaurant without Naveen. As she said she was almost there anyway. And Merida did pretty much everything without a man. Elsa only needed Anna to get her happy ending. But, Anna needed Olaf and Kristoff to survive because her sister was so blind. And Rapunzel couldn't even have a chance getting her happy ending without Flynn Rider. Only Rapunzel and Anna went against that massage. But the others did stay on it. But there are some things that they did that were needed of a man. Elsa only hid and used her powers so it is impossible to say that she needed a man to help her with that. Tiana needed Naveen to
teach her she needs to be more of a fun person. So I think their massage was fine. The DPs were awesome. My least favorite out of them was Merda. second least favorite was Rapunzel. My favorite is a tier with Anna and Elsa.

Who said it's a bad message to have a single girl? I said it's bad to tell girls they don't need men, like they're too good for a man's help, which is every bit as sexist as saying men don't need women or our help. the modern era's problem is they LOVE shaming the couples who are more of the "love at first sight with a guy they may not have known long" variety, and worse that they still fail to provide a decent example of what a supposedly good couple IS. Their girls either end up with no one, shun marriage at all, or end up with- ironically- a guy they not only lack believable chemistry but they only knew them a few days.

and of course, all these girls except Anna (and Elsa, but Disney wants you to think otherwise) are magically too competent at everything important to need any silly man's help.

I LOVE the revival era. Girls who are great role models, realistic, relatable, original (For the most part) etc. Tiana<33 is second to only Mulan as the best Disney princess role model. Strong, hardworking, and all around admirable. Tiana starts off a bit selfish for her dream, but in the end gives up her dream for Naveen, which is another quality she possesses I love. Rapunzel<3 is sweet, kind, a good role model, possesses accents that made her a well rounded character, adventure, yadda yadda.(Although Rapunzel has dropped on my list for being unoriginal and a mary-sue, I love her. Then again, I love every princes other then Ariel) Merida<333 is feisty, head-strong, silly, and has amazing character development that actually makes her a pretty good role model. Anna<3333 is incredibly flawed and yet incredibly admirable. Anna is love hungry and clumsy, yet has an unbreakable love for her sister and silliness that is just un-shake able. And Elsa<33333 (My favorite of the revival era) Starts off a bit scared and anxious since she went through mental abuse as a child, but over the course of the movie becomes more confident with herself and in the end rights her wrong. Elsa was completely selfless and cared about her sister from the beginning of the movie to the end. Let it go was just in my opinion Elsa trying to make the best out of a bad situation, since she had to leave to protect her kingdom. She's also complex, and flawed. Elsa messes crap up all by accident and I love it, but she still tries to make the best out of it in a bad situation with a smile on her face. So yeah, I love the revival era ^_^
