Sooyoung and Yoona are supporting voices and they are a bit down the list as far as voice ranking, but their role in the group is supporting vocals so I don't really know what you are asking. I think Sooyoung sings better then everyone else here but her and Yoona are already vocalist in SNSD.

i mean you have to have a great voice to be lead/main vocal
but the best among these is probably Yuri

seriously this is a no brain, Yuri only sounds good on the recorded versions. she sucks at live performances. but people don't seem to understand it...oh well, it's their opinion, i have to respect

anyway, Sooyoung was supposed to be a lead vocalist, until Sunny entered the group. this actually means something. Sooyoung has potential to be a lead vocalist

^You sound kinda bitter, but ok. I have to be honest I would think Soo does better with dancing than singing because if she were in Sunny' shoes she still wouldn't get that much attention because she still isn't as popular as the Tae,Jes,Tif, and Seo. I mean if you think about it in dancing she gets to show off her legs and "figure" while dancing.

From what I have heard Jessica was the determining factor in Sooyoung being a dancer not a singer, because Jessica got so much popularity she was moved to the singing group and Sooyoung lost her position as singer and went to dancing. This decision was made in their debut days not before they were an official group. Jessica was always in front during their dance specials in their early days, then suddenly she danced less and Soo danced more, so Sunny is/was not the deciding factor Sooyoung's position. If I am not mistaken Sunny was already coming in as a singer so that fact that Sooyoung became a dancer has little to do with her.

I kinda agree on PA on this one. I think the reason she is confused, as well as I am is because no one ever with their pride intact says that Yoona or Hyoyeon is a top 6 singer. Yuri is the one that is the dividing line between top 6 however the confusion can come in that Yuri hasn't improved in her vocals whereas Sooyoung can at least showcase better vocal on screen than Yuri does.

Why make any other them vocalist? They would get stomped all over by the actual lead vocalist in the group. Let them stay dancers.
