Saten: *suddenly sees someone, from off view* Hey. Isn't that Trixie Lunamoon?
AppleJack; Oh.. It is.
Saten: Can we go say hi to her. I want to know if she remembers me.
AppleJack: .. Why not.
Saten: *calls out* Trixie! It's me!
Trixie: *looks over, and suddenly she gasps before running away in fear*
AppleJack: *laughs* She 'differently' remembers you

When Fluttershy is first introduced in the series, she barely manages to tell Twilight Sparkle her name out of shyness, going so far as to be reduced to whimpering in fear. However, she becomes very conversational when she notices Spike the baby dragon, and implores him to tell her "everything" (which he does), all the way to Twilight's residence.

She is terrified of full grown dragoni and repeatedly freezes in place when she and her Marafiki go on an expedition to confront a dragon in Dragonshy. Twilight Sparkle encourages her and tells her that her understanding of wanyama will come in handy...

"NO!" applejack yelled where every gppony, pony heard her. upinde wa mvua Dash felt embarrassed having her mare friend frustrated this way. "Here AJ, let me..." The Pegasus took Apple's club and placed it in the farmer's hooves. "I can do this on my own!!" She shouted at the gppony, pony trying to help her. At this moment all the other ponies stopped and watched as this was happening. A staff gppony, pony came up to applejack and said, " Miss, if wewe can't control your anger I will have to escort wewe off the course" kwa this time applejack had no patience for any gppony, pony telling her what to do. She pointed the club at the pony's snout while angrily yelling "if wewe keep telling me.." "Um AJ, lets just leave". "No! I wanna finish this dang hole!!! AND NO gppony, pony IS GONNA TELL ME OTHERWISE!!!" ......
