what about the Asians? is it impossible that they started? i mean, they do have the highest population. then whites, then blacks. i'm just pointing that out because this poll isn't going to accomplish much and i feel like we should include them.

^...that's actually a good point to make, pigment typically gets darker overtime rather than lighter. more exposure to sun cause each generation to get darker. with the exception of albinos.

Supposedly by anthropology. All humans were Africans first and then it branched out as far as genes are concerned. I am not an anthropologist but that is what I have read/seen in regards to that. If you wanna research that just look it up. Instead of asking others. You'd probably find the answer quicker tbh.

Without going into too much detail, it's a scientific fact/thing that you can have a child whose skin is lighter than your skin and the other parent's skin, but it's impossible to have a child whose skin is darker than both your skin and the other parent's skin. (Except for in the cases of a melanistic mutation, but those are very, very rare.)

That being said, humans probably got lighter as they migrated to different areas of the world where having more melanin was a genetic disadvantage. (which relies directly on the amount of sunlight that area gets.)

It's less likely that humans got darker than it is that they got lighter.
