it doesnt really annoy me but thats probably only because i dont watch anime much

^Um...there's cartoons that can be like that too. And anime vice-versa.
Really, the only difference is that anime is from Japan. There's animes that are just as random silly and ridiculous as cartoons. And there's cartoons that can be just as touching and deep as anime. There's really not that much of a difference.

It is though, but western cartoons are more higher quality tbh.

This is such a stupid thing, both anime and cartoon are SAME! Both are animation, and "anime" is the Japanese language of "animation". They would call western cartoons like Mickey Mouse, Spongebob, etc. as anime as that's how they call animation.
