hmm, i'd say it's between John Glover and John Scheider. They play almost completely opposite characters yet they both pull off the roles flawlessly. Being older actors than the rest allowed them to bring extra depths and subtleties to their roles that the younger ones just didn't have time to cultivate yet. Michael was good but not as good as them. Personally, i really disliked Justin's performance. I was always annoyed when he came on the screen. I swear that they just added his character as eye candy, for shirtless scenes because Tom had refused to do them anymore kwa that point. Tom didn't really have any training so he did a pretty good job considering but he definitely wasn't the best actor.

i agree about justin he was brought in to replace michael because he was leaving and did a crap job
John Glover- kwa far the best actor on Smallville...i mean, seriously, the manipulative nature of his character, in so many different scenarios, on so many different levels, he wasn't your typical series antagonist...his character gave the "grey area" a whole new meaning....
