easy,classic;ı need advice

ı don't know how to make Marafiki with chatting.ı am saying 'hi!how are you?' and they are saying 'Hİ!ı am ok,you'
and ı 'ı am fine' and this is whole conversation.when ı am trying to ask quetions ı am feeling like ı am boring them because usually they are not trying to talk with me,ı dont want long conversations but ı wanna be friendly and ı dont know how to start a friendship,now ı am always thinking twice before starting a conversation;what should ı do?

well like what I do is say its Huddy_amiee that I am talking to then I know she like Huddy so I talk about huddy au something like that. Also the club I found them in.
