What's the Scariest Near Death Experience Your Mate Had?

One time during the winter, Katie and I were walking across a frozen lake to take a shortcut. We thought it was thick as ususal, but Katie stepped on a thin area. She fell through and got caught under the ice. I had to face my biggest fear (drowning under ice) and dive in to save her. We both almost drowned but I got to the hole in time. I remember Katie cried as I held her close to keep her warm. We are never crossing it again......
