As they sit down to eat
Some lettuce and bread
But mostly red meat
I watch as they chew
Flesh apart in their mouths
How can they consume
All those dead cows
Ripped from their mothers
Locked in a crate
Calves who were taken
For veal on your plate
But here wewe are chewing
And using your knife
To cut flesh apart
That once had a life
wewe seem very smart
But wewe don't have a clue
wewe seem very caring
But how caring are you
Dedicated to religion
But your stomach is the grave
To many murdered animals
That wewe forgot to save
wanyama feel pain
They're just like me and you
Kind of makes me wonder
How selfish are you
When wewe still eat meat regardless
Of what I have to say
Blocking out the truth
It's too much to change your way
wewe feel bad when wewe hear
That your steak, mnofu was once alive
Last time I brought it up
I remembered how wewe cried
Brought back to reality
As they say grace and eat
Some lettuce and some bread

Brought back to the present
Shakened from my trancing stare
I can only bow my head
And pray that G-d can hear my prayer
For every creature has a soul
And so may wewe be kind
To think about vegetarianism
