(Sorry for my capitalizing fetish in the title there. XD)

So yeah, ToraDora. I just finished this anime today and honestly.... I'm speechless. I don't even know what to say, it's just that great. I feel that the shows absolutely NAILS almost everything to a near-perfect degree and I respect that a lot.

But why do I like this onyesha so much? What makes this anime stand out from all the other high school romantic comedies? Well, I'm about to tell wewe right now. And don't worry, there won't be any spoilers.

First off, I had to go with the obligatory choice for the first reason I upendo this anime so much, and that's for it's comedy. I know I say this a lot in my makala but this onyesha gets a BULLSEYE on it's humor. And unlike a ton of anime and shows out there, the slapstick comedy, as much as there is in this show, ISN'T JUST MINDLESS PAIN.

If it's one thing I despise about a lot of anime out there-

(COUGH COUGH upendo HINA COUGH COUGH)

It's that slapstick is used just for the sake of comedy and for no reason whatsoever. wewe know, when a onyesha adds in a character getting beaten up just because THAT'S SO FUNNY. And let me tell you, IT'S NOT.

What makes slapstick funny is seeing a douchebag character getting what they deserve! For example, let's say a high school student is looking up a girl's skirt, upindo au being a total prick to everybody. It's funny seeing them get hit because wewe WANT them to get injured!

They made a dumbass mistake that they knew was wrong and were completely aware of the consequences, but they didn't care! That's when a character DESERVES pain!

BUT WHEN wewe MAKE A CHARACTER GET HURT JUST FOR THE SAKE OF BEING FUNNY WHEN IT'S NO FAULT OF THE CHARACTER WHATSOEVER, THAT'S when you're not doing slapstick correctly.

So why is this important? Well, this is one of the few anime out there that KNOWS this. And trust me when I say I've seen COUNTLESS animes, and even shows in general, that ABUSE slapstick to the point of making me want to slaughter the writers with a battleaxe.

Basic point, slapstick isn't funny unless the character deserves it, and ToraDora definitely knows this. And it's not even 40% of the show's humor, so it's not like it's ALL of the show's comedy either.

The inayofuata reason I upendo this onyesha is because of the characters. Not only is everyone aliyopewa enough screentime to leave an impression, not only does everybody in the onyesha have their own unique personalities, (Even when you'd think they wouldn't) But every character in this onyesha has EMOTIONS.

They aren't just generic stereotypes we normally see in anime, they each have feelings, hopes, desires, and their own unique traits!

Another thing I upendo about this show's characters is how a ton of the side characters that don't even get much screen time ARE SO F**KING FUNNY AND AMAZINGLY AWESOME. The anime puts SO MUCH effort into EVERYBODY, no matter how not important they are to the story!

And although wewe could argue "Why don't they get zaidi screentime than!?" That would just clutter the onyesha with too much comedy.

What I'm trying to say is it's near IMPOSSIBLE to not like a lot of the characters in this onyesha and it's easily one of the anime's strongest points.

But the most important thing about this romantic comedy? It knows what upendo is.

upendo is simple and self-explanatory, but it's also strange and mysterious. It's easy to have feelings for someone, but it's not that easy to explain those feelings to the person wewe love.

upendo is something we simply don't understand. It's been around for centuries upon centuries, but we still can't figure it out. Why we upendo this specific person so much, why we want to be with them, and why we have such strong feelings for someone wewe barely even know.

Why do we feel so comfortable around them? Why do they make us so happy?

Maybe it's how they look? Maybe it's how they always cheer wewe up? Maybe it's how amazing wewe think the person is in terms of traits and personality? au maybe it's even all three.

But the basic point is, we can't describe it. No matter how well we think we know love, it never reveals itself. It just sort of.... happens. Almost like it's a person's destiny au fate.

And I gotta say, ToraDora handles romance better than 90% of the romantic shows out there. It knows what it's doing and constantly keeps everything stable. And not a single time watching the anime did I ever feel that any romance was forced au unnecessary.

The anime understands that upendo is a hard subject to perform correctly and it tries it's hardest to make a good and genuinely funny romantic story. And it excels on a vast scale.

Also, this onyesha knows life can be dark. It knows how things don't always go the way we wish they did, and how things can take a change for the worse in a short amount of time. And unlike a lot of animes, it doesn't just throw the whole "Never Give Up" cliche at us and expect everyone watching to be satisfied, ToraDora grabs our problems and just throws them RIGHT OUT OF THE NEAREST GODDAMN WINDOW.

They notify us that life can be happy, that there's zaidi to reality than sadness and being alone. Because fact is, things can always take a turn not only for the worse, but for the better as well.

ToraDora exploits our problems in a way that I rarely see that often. It inspects them from every possible angle and leaves us with a believable, happy, and generally enjoyable solution.

And that's what ToraDora excels at. The anime knows what it's handling and it's aware of the controversies surrounding what it's tackling, and it makes damn sure everything in the onyesha not only makes sense, but leaves all viewers satisfied.

ToraDora is a unique approach to a Slice Of Life romantic comedy that I definitely recommend checking out. It became one of my inayopendelewa shows of all time in a single day, need I say more?

And that's why, at least in my lame opinion, that ToraDora is not only one of the best anime, but one of the best shows of all time.

(For those who were curious, my ONLY complaint is that this is another anime with an EPIC first opening/theme song that they changed halfway through. Not that the newer one is BAD, but it's just so.... Eh. :P

Seriously anime writers, if wewe have a great theme song, JUST KEEP IT FOR GOD'S SAKE. But I digress. Hope wewe enjoyed my article!)
