i hear there is going to be an Avatar sequel. would wewe want a sequel to it?

Yeah James C mentioned that if the movie did well, there'd be a high chance for a trilogy. As long as he does it well, I'm all for it. There just has to be a strong story line to follow suite. I honestly don't know what else they'd explore - Jaytiri having kids? Lol. I mean, the great war over their land (Movie 1) is zaidi of a final chapter than an introductory story, but who knows what James will pick out of that imaginative head of his? I certainly don't know...
Maybe James will have new aliens visit/invade Pandora...
Sure they could have another war-like situation, but the thing that worries me is that another war movie would become slightly repetitive since we saw so many great action sequences in the first movie. The LOTR wars for example, had started from a small scale in the first, to a bigger one in the second, and finally ended with a great final war in the third. Each movie had a continual story (even the third). Every war involved zaidi and zaidi people - different wanyama included. The dynamic in the films left room for zaidi to come. I guess it helped that all of the plots were in vitabu beforehand. So a trilogy was imminent; not to mention necessary. With Avatar on the other hand, how else would they portray war? I mean, EVERY [aggressive] animal was apparently involved (I suppose James could make up some zaidi but still...). And it seemed like the military pulled out all the stops. It felt like we basically saw it all in the first movie. Martyrdom, explosions, animal action, complex military strategy from both ends....So what else would there be a war for? "Revenge of the humans"?
Unless James pulls something amazing out of his pocket, I'd rather this amazing movie (one of the best sinema I've ever seen) stand alone as a great classic rather than have two weaker sinema taint it in the years to come. All in all, I am zaidi than slightly skeptical about sequels, but I must admit I am curious to see what James could do. He has defied the odds before...

I hope theres no sequel, in Avatar James Cameron had covered every aspect in what makes a great movie and more. the movie alone is great because of its originality, for being differant. to cast another Avatar film would render its beauty because peaple wacthed the first film and are familar with the navi and plantlife. Nothing would be new anymore. To me Avatar is the best movie i have ever seen in all my life and if a sekunde movie was made and didnt meet expectations it would be very disappointing.

Well, there IS going to be a sequel, but I imagine that it will (somehow) be BETTER than the first one, and either be about A) an underwater environment B) zaidi Pandora au C)another moon. to be honest i'm sooo excited for it to come out, but luckily it won't take four years to make :D

I don't know, most of the time the sequels suck and we already upendo the movie and story so.... I think is better to leave it that way.

I just hope that the quality is as good as the first one.

As long as James C knows what he's doing, then I won't worry, but it would have to be at the same epic-ness level as the first movie au higher...
