It's all good - I didn't get my hopes up too much. I wanted proof - then I'd get my hopes up! There will be an Avatar sequel or prequel; I know that for sure cause Cameron pretty much said it. It's just a matter of when....

The prequel novel is expected to come out at the end of this year as Cameron stated in an Interview. You might find it in the "Links" section.

Actually, it took about 12 years, but the second one will be cheaper and faster since they have everything developed already.

^Well, actually Cameron had the idea in 1997 but he thought that the technology at that time was not up to standards for Avatar. Production only started in 2005. At that time they were working on the Na'vi language. The screenplay was developed in 2006.

So, I can say that the production started in 2005...

2009-2005= 4 years =)

Well, Cameron did have the idea in the late 1990s and started to work on the project code named "Project 880". But the production was halted because James Cameron wanted to wait until technology caught up with his vision. By then, about 8 years have passed before production resumed.

So, I can say that the production started in 1997...
1997-2009= 12 years =)

But one thing for sure... Avatar 2 is DEFINITELY NOT coming out in 2011. ;)

Because if you're a big fan of a certain topic at hand, you tend to try and gain more knowledge about that certain subject and therefore the tendency to get to know it all. Don't you know anything? (bad pun). But trust me, I would LOVE to be wrong on this one.

I've been looking through images and youtube and there is no sign of avatar 2 ever existing, on youtube I only found cheap knock-offs and in images all I found were pictures of avatar 1 and avatar:the last air bender. so theres no point in writing this bull shit question
