Okay, this is the carry on from my last one. I think the story gets better as it goes on, but thats 4 u guys to decide. Hope you's like it. Please comment.

Chapter 5

Booth stood in the ring with the horse. At this, kwenzi started to buck even more. Booth turned and asked Sam, “Is this saddle special to anyone?”
“Nope. It’s a piece of junk.” Was his answer.
A smile cunning came across Booths face. “Perfect.”
Then he held it away from his body and dropped it. It landed with a thud. Instantly, kwenzi stoped and stood still. He watched like a hawk as Booth held his hands as if surrendering and stepped over the saddle. He walked slowly towards the horse, which stood still and ready to bolt. Brennan was stunned. Her moyo was beating fast. She didn’t want to watch in case the horse turned crazy and hurt Booth, but she couldn’t turn away. What happened inayofuata made her think twice about doubting Booth’s skills towards horses.
“Hey, Starling.”He alisema in a calm voice, still taking small steps towards the horse. “Look, I’m not going to hurt you. Chill out like a good horse.” Booth stoped walking and held out his hand. He moved his fingers and called the horse. His voice was commanding, calm and convincing at the same time. “Come here, Starling.”
The others watched in amazement the black horse took a step mbele then another, and ended up coming to Booth.
Brennan mouth hit the ground. ‘How did he do that’ she thought ‘that’s so amazing.’
Booth held out a hand and kwenzi started sniffing it. With the other hand, he stroked his neck. Then he took a step back, picked up the bridle, and put it on, without a single problem.
Booth turned to the others and led the horse over.
“That Was, AMAZING!” alisema Tony taking a small break between each word.
“How did wewe do that? The stupid thing won’t let me near it let alone put a hatamu, atakayepenya on it!” jay seemed a bit annoyed, probably because he couldn’t do it to onyesha off to Brennan.
“Wow.” Was all Sam could say. “That horse has taken a liking to you, Booth. Are wewe going to ride him?”
“Is he trained?”
“Yes.” they all alisema at the same time.
“Then I’ll ride him.”
With that he took of the bridle, and walked out of the corral. The three ranchers headed back to the house, they were going to meet in the ghalani in an saa for the riding lesson. Brennan stayed. She stood staring at Booth. He started walking towards her, then he saw the expression her face held, and laughed.
“I never thought I’d see the siku when wewe were speechless.”
“How did wewe do that?” her voice was hardly coming out.
“It’s easy when wewe know what to do around horses.”
They stared walking up to the barn. There was silence for a moment. Then booth asked a swali which broke Brennans thinking.
“So, do wewe still think I suck at horse riding?” he smiling at her.
“I never alisema that.”
“So wewe think I rock?”
“I didn’t say that either.”
“Just admit it.”
“No!” Brennan was trying to be angry, but she couldn’t resist that smile. It made her feel special. After all, he didn’t do it to everyone. The smile on her face got bigger. So did his.
“You admit it!”
“No, I didn’t!”
“Yes wewe did!”
“No, I didn’t!”
“Yes wewe did!”
They continued playing around and laughing like that until Brennan playfully shoved Booth.
“Oh, wewe wanna play like that do you?” He said, his voice playfully serious. Then he took a step towards her. “Come here.”
She knew what was in store. “No, no, Booth, no! Oh my gosh, what’s that!” She pointed behind him. He turned quickly, but then realized his mistake and turned back to find she had started to run off.
“No, wewe don’t.” He muttered.
He caught up to her in a few paces, grabbed her kwa the waist, picked her up, flicked her over his shoulder and started spinning in circles.
“You’re going to make me sick!” Brennan tried to sound serious, but she couldn’t stop laughing.
“Then don’t be sick on me.”
“Trust me, I’ll aim for your back.”
“It’s worth it.”
He eventually stopped spinning, but he didn’t put her down. Instead he started back to the barn.
“Booth, wewe can put me down now.” There was still cheer in her voice. She didn’t want to be put down. She loved the feeling of being near Booth. Brennan normally didn’t feel this way. They were never this playful back home. But here, they were both relaxed and happy. She knew that would fade away once they started work tomorrow.
“I Know.” Booth replied, but he didn’t.
‘Make the most of it. It’s not happening tomorrow.’ alisema a little voice inside Brennan’s head.
The same thoughts went through booth’s head.
‘Have fun today because tomorrow’s work.’ He thought.
Booth carried her all the way to their cabins. Then he pulled her down. Even when Brennan was on the ground, her arms were still wrapped around his neck, and his hands were on her waist. For a moment, the world around them didn’t exist. They looked into each other’s eyes. Booth wondered if Brennan could feel his moyo beat, because, if she could, it would be a dead give away to how nervous he was. Brennan felt the same. All she wanted to do was to rest her head against his muscular chest and relax. Suddenly, she remembered what stopped her. They were partners, and right now, they were meant to be working. She quickly pulled away and looked at the ground shyly.
“Doesn’t your shoulder hurt?” she asked feeling kind of guilty.
Booth understood why she suddenly changed and didn’t make a fuss. He knew Bones was right and didn’t argue.
“No. You’re not heavy at all.” He smiled at her. “See wewe in an hour.”
He smiled at her then he walked away. Brennan felt like she was on drugs. She felt dizzy and happy. Not from being spun around a gazillion times, but because of Booth. He had mucked around with her, he never dose. What surprised her zaidi was that she liked it. And she felt a new feeling. An odd feeling.
Stupidity!
‘Why did wewe just let him walk away!’ part of her brain screamed at her.
‘Don’t worry, wewe did the right thing.’ The other part of her brain comforted.
‘No, wewe didn’t! wewe two have something! And at the perfect moment to share it wewe let him walk away!’
‘They’re partners, it’s not right.’ At that comment, Brennan but in on the conversation of the two little people in her head.
‘Who says it’s not right!’ She broke in on her own mental conversation. At that moment, there was a knock on her cabin, kibanda door. She opened it and there was Laura. Brennan invited her in, made a coffee for each of them, and sat down to have a conversation and get to know her better. Brennan liked her too. Laura was about Brennan’s age, she married Sam when she was 18 and they’ve live happily ever since.
“What about you?”she asked.
“Oh, I’m not married.”Brennan answered.
“Boyfriend?”
“Nope.” Brennan had a sip of her coffee.
“What about that hunky FBI Agent, Booth?” she alisema with a grin on her face.
“Please, you’re just as bad as Angela.” Brennan alisema “No, Booths just my partner.” There was a tinge of disappointment to her voice. Did she want zaidi of him?
Laura took a sip of her drink. “He likes wewe though.”
“What?”
“He likes you.”
“No he doesn’t. To him, I’m just his partner. That’s all. Besides, there’s no logical proof, even if wewe were right.”
“But there is. Before I met Sam, I was training to be a psychologist. Trust me, there’s proof.”
“Like what? His body language?” there was disbelief in Brennan’s voice.
“Yes, exactly. Every time he talks to you, he turns his body to wewe and his pupils dilate and get bigger. All of which are subconscious things your body does when wewe like someone. So, whether he knows it au not, he has a completely logical crush.” She emphasized the word ‘Logical’ because she knew that would get it through Brennan’s head.
Brennan was speechless for a moment. That was big because she always had something to say.
“And what’s more, wewe like him back.” The most satisfied grin came across her face. It was like having a psychological version of Angela.
Another knock on her door broke her thought.
“Bones! Come on. It’s time to see how well wewe ride!”
“Coming!”
She alisema goodbye to Laura and went off to her lesson.

Chapter 6

Booth and Brennan went to the ring where Tony and jay stood holding Dawn and watching as Sam tried to get kwenzi to stop bucking, resulting in him being chased out of the ring. Booth walked up to help.
“Are wewe sure wewe want this one?” Sam asked with a glimmer of hope that Booth might change his mind, “I mean, he an aggressive animal. Only Genevieve can get on him.”
“Yes I want his one, and who’s Genevieve?”
“That’s our daughter, you’ll meet her at chajio, chakula cha jioni time.”
“Okay. Here, give me the saddle.” In a few minutes, Booth had saddled up Starling, who had been washed. Now that he wasn’t covered in dirt, Booth could see the farasi white markings on its four legs that ran up to its knees.
“Okay, Pretty Boy, let’s see how wewe are to ride.” With that he buckled on his kofia, chapeo and got up. Booth was surprised how high up he was. kwenzi must be taller then he looks, he thought. Sam opened the gate and Booth walked kwenzi out of the yard.
“Jay and Tony will take your lesson.”
“I don’t need to be taught, I just need to get to know the horse.”
“Good, wewe know where the ring is, just up the hill.”“Yep. So, when are we meeting the sheriff? Tomorrow?”Booth asked.
“Yep, jay will take wewe on the trail into town. Now off wewe go.” Sam alisema as he pointed up the hill. Booth moved kwenzi into a trot and headed towards the arena. He was disappointed to see that Bones was already up and had been told how to walk, stop and steer. He had wanted to laugh at her if she had trouble getting up.
“Tell me wewe had trouble.” He asked with a smile as he walked up besides her. Maybe he could still laugh at her after all.
“No she got up first attempt.” alisema Tony with a satisfied smile.
Brennan gave him a ‘Huh!’ smile. Then she noticed Booth was sitting on a taller horse.
“How come wewe get a bigger horse?”
“Because I can ride better than you.” he gave her a ‘Huh!’ smile.
Brennan was about to protest when jay cut her off.
“Sure about that?” he asked in disbelief. Booth was sure jay didn’t like him. From the moment he laid eyes on Booth, he ignored him and only helped Brennan.
“How high’s that jump?” he pointed to a sturdy looking jump in the centre of the ring.
“1 metre 20.” Answered Tony from under his hat.
“Is this horse trained?” Booth asked pointing to Starling.
“Yeah, he was one of the best competitive farasi I’ve ever seen until he got abused kwa his last owner. Even went to the Olympics! Best in onyesha at kuvuka, msalaba country, onyesha jumping...”
Before he could finish, Booth tightened his reins and gave kwenzi a kick sending them cantering towards the jump.

Chapter 7
Brennan nearly had a moyo attack. Was he serious? Tony picked up his cell ready to call an ambulance. They all watched, their breath held.
Booth and kwenzi neared the jump and hurtled over it without a problem. Relief flowed through Brennan and Tony, jay on the other hand was annoyed. Booth rode back up to them.
“I know, I know. I’ll remember wewe little people when I’m a big star.” Booth joked.
Brennan smiled. “That was great!”
“No, that was cool!” Tony alisema with commendation.
“No, that was stupid!” all eyes turned to Jay. He looked angry.
“Why, Booth can control a horse and he’s not stupid.” Brennan answered. kwa now, all had Lost their smiles because of their Jays sudden scold.
“He could have fallen off and hurt himself.”
This time it was Tony who stood up for Booth, “Jay, even I’m convinced he knows how to control a horse.”
“Yeah but he’s riding kwenzi who is wild!” he pointed a finger at the Black horse Booth rode, “Sam shouldn’t of let wewe ride that horse, wewe make a stupid pair.”
As if knowing jay was yelling at Booth, kwenzi beared his teeth and nearly head butted Jay, he would of if it weren’t for Booth pulling back on the reins.
“If that horse is stupid, I’m a pine nut.” alisema Tony, “Don’t wewe remember the time he let himself out of his stall and let out the other horses? He led them off the ranch onto the meadow. kwenzi only trusted Genevieve to get close to them.”
“Who’s Genevieve?” Brennan asked Booth quietly.
“You’ll meet her at chajio, chakula cha jioni time.” He whispered back.
“Yes, I do.” His temper cooled down a bit. “But that was still stupid! And the last thing this ranch needs is a city slicker waltzing around performing dangerous stunts.”
kwenzi snorted loudly. jay got a fright and jumped back quickly.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be gone when we finish the case.” He turned towards the gate, “Come on Bones.” Brennan gave Dawn a gentle kick and followed Booth out of the ring.
“That was mean Jay!” Tony alisema once they were alone.
“No it wasn’t!”
“Yes, it was! Just because he’s a better rider than wewe doesn’t mean he’s a bad person, in fact, I like him. I like them both, so don’t chase them away just because you’re jealous.”
“It’s got nothing to do with the riding.”
“Then what?” Tony’s face was annoyed.
“It’s none of your business.” Then he walked away.
Tony knew better than to fight. Instead he decided to see if he could catch up to his new friends. At least, he hoped they were his new friends. He caught up to them just as they got to the gate of the ranch.
“Hey, Booth! Dr Brennan!” he yelled as he pulled his white horse to a stop inayofuata to them. “I have a map of the trails in the forest for you.”
“Thanks.” Brennan alisema appreciatively. Booth nodded and took the map from him. Tony smiled back, happy to help.
“Do wewe want to come?” Brennan asked.
“Where?”
“To talk to the sheriff and go look at the body.” She replied.
“Errrr...”
“Don’t worry, wewe can wait outside with me.” Booth alisema reassuringly.
“Okay then. Follow me. I know a short cut.” They Tony set off at a trot towards the forest. Booth and Brennan went to follow him, but their farasi wouldn’t move. When they looked, kwenzi and Dawn were sniffing and nuzzling each other.
“Starling!” alisema Booth giving him a kick.
“Dawn!” Brennan alisema doing the same thing. But the two didn’t move. Instead they moved closer to each other, causing Booth and Brennan’s legs to touch, making them both suddenly very self conscious and aware of each other. Booth moyo started to thump hard. He was nervous again. Why was that? He wondered. But it didn’t make the feeling go away.
Brennan’s eyes wandered to Booths and her moyo skipped a beat as he did the same thing. She knew if she didn’t say something quick she would turn pink. Why had Laura filled her head with the idea Booth liked her! It made being with him harder to do without thinking of him as zaidi than a partner.
“Ummm, sorry.” She blurted out the first thing that came to mind, “I should have noticed them getting closer.”
“No, I’m sorry. I should have zaidi control over him.”
“Hey! Are wewe two coming au what?!” yelled Tony from a distance.
At that Booth leant over and grabbed further down the reins and pulled, yanking Starlings head away from Dawn whether he liked it au not. Then he gave him a kick and sent him off in the right direction. Brennan Followed behind.
2 hours later, they were on their way back after Brennan had looked at the body and decided it wasn’t a murder, when Tony said,
“Hey, do wewe want to see something cool?”
“Okay.” Brennan alisema at the same time as Booth.
Tony lead them down a trail and into a clearing where a water fall that flowed into a Blue lake and a river flowed.
“Wow!” Brennan alisema with a huge smile. “This is amazing!”
“Cool!” alisema Booth.
“I know, it’s great. And the best part, the ranch owns all this land, so we can do whatever we want.”
“They own all this?!” Brennan said.
“Yep. The Bosses ain’t poor. It’s kind of good because as stable hands, me and jay need new stuff all the time. Plus they’re really nice, reasonable people.” Tony said.
“Yeah.” Booth was looking at the water fall, “Do wewe guys swim here?”
“All the time. We’ll take wewe both some time.”
“I’m not complaining.” Brennan said.
“For once.” Booth teased.
Brennan gave him evils, then turned Dawn towards the water where she slid off and sat down on the lush grass. Booth went to follow, but Tony grabbed Starlings reins to stop him. And with a huge smile on your face said,
“You like her.” He asked in a loudish whisper.
“Who?” Booth asked, guessing what was coming.
“Your partner. It explains everything.”
“What!? No I don’t!” He was yelling in a whisper, “Bones and I are just partners, get your story straight. And you’d better let go of the reins before wewe get bitten.” He tried to change the subject. He failed.
“Fine. I’ll just tell Laura she was wrong.” Tony let go of the reins and went to ride away, but Booth grabbed his reins and stopped him.
“Hang on, Laura alisema that? As in, the Laura who works on the ranch Laura? What does she know?”
“A lot. She can read body language really good. She studied at University. ” Tony alisema satisfyingly.
Booth didn’t say anything. He was trying to register and reason how it could be wrong.
“She alisema whether wewe know it au not, wewe like her.”
Booth let go. He plonked down in his saddle and tried to think.
“Look, dude, just ask her out. It’s easy.” Tony alisema and rode away, leaving Booth confused.
“Hang on, wait come back!” But Tony was way off heading towards Bones who was happily sitting at the bottom of the kilima inayofuata to the water. He wasn’t about to go speeding down the kilima to catch up, he’d look like a desperate, advice needing 10 mwaka old on his first date. Even though he felt like one. Booth gave kwenzi a kick and rode down to jiunge them.
They sat for about an saa talking. At some point, Booth wandered off and climbed a few rocks till he was at the top. There he sat for a while, sneaking the occasional look at Brennan. She lay on her back looking at the clouds in the sky. Eventually, she was all he looked at. She was still stretched out on the grass. Her hands were behind her head and her legs were crossed at her ankles. She looked pretty in the sunlight. His thoughts were about her too. Feelings boiled inside him. Was Tony mucking with him, au was he serious? Should he listen to a seventeen mwaka old?
Brennan wasn’t listening to Tony talking. She was thinking about what Laura had said. What if Booth really did like her? What would happen then? At that thought her moyo started to beat faster. What would happen then? She started to go pale. Was it fear, au was it just that the thought of her partner as zaidi than a partner, making her overly nervous with happiness. Either one, Tony noticed.
“Are wewe okay?” he asked alarmed.
She sat up. “I think so. Can we go back.” She asked weakly.
“Yeah, sure.” He stood up.
Booth notice her sudden change and headed down.
“What’s wrong?” he asked as he walked towards his partner. “You look sick, are wewe okay?”
Typical. Booth was worried about her. It was kind of sweet, Brennan thought.
“I’m fine, were just going back.” She was about to turn away when Booth put a hand on her arm and turned her back. She looked at him, his eyes held hers.
“Bones, wewe look like you’re going to puke.”
“Really, I’m fine. It’s just...” ‘Just what?’ She thought, ‘Just that I secretly adore you. Just that the site of wewe makes me nervous. Just that if wewe weren’t my partner, you’d be my boyfriend. Just what!?’
“Look, just, were going back now.” She quickly walked over to Dawn and climbed up. “Are wewe coming?” it wasn’t really a question; it was zaidi of a command.
Booth smiled. She was fine. Tony led the way back to the ranch. When they got back, they untacked their farasi and went back to their cabins. Then they headed off to diner. Brennan was eager to meet Genevieve, who ever she was, and then hopefully go to bed. She’d had a long siku and wanted it to be over with.
