Disney Princess Article: How to become a Disney Princess.

There has been some confusion on what it takes to be a princess. Many people are saying that Mulan shouldn't be an official princess, because she's just ordinary and even though Shang has some nice abbs, he is not a prince.
So I decided to write this makala to tell wewe the exact requirements for a Disney heroine to become a Princess. I'm not that maarufu on here and it's not really my place to tell people whats what, but I'm going to do it anyway. If wewe disagree, disagree nicely.

Requirement #1:You must be human
This one is pretty obvious. Take Nala for example;she is a princess. She married Simba, a king. But she's a lion. & how stupid would a lion look, standing inayofuata to a smiling Snow White? Yeah. That's what I thought. This also explains why Tinker Bell isn't flapping her wings on the banner.

Requirement #2:Your film must be a musical
No, wewe don't have to sing every five seconds, but you've got to have some songs! This is why Kida is not a Princess, and why Mulan was put in the lineup. Every Princess film has at least one song.

I know, shocking, isn't it?

Requirement #3:You have to sing in your film
Woah there Jane. Did wewe think just because wewe have some amazing songs in Tarzan wewe would be added up? Don't think so. wewe also have to sing. Not a complete solo, remember, Belle and jimmy, hunitumia don't have one(unless wewe can count Belle reprise as a solo). wewe just have to sing. So this explains Jane, and probably other heroines and I can't remember right now.

Just because I don't sing? Yes, just because Jane.

Requirement #4:You have to be good all through the movie
No princess ever started out "bad" then turned "good". This is why Meg from Hercules wasn't added. She was helping Hades in the beginning, so technically, she could be considered a villain. This isn't, obviously, a good role model and Princesses are supposed to be, so she wasn't put inayofuata to the princesses. I still upendo her though. I'd like to give credit to Swanpride for giving me this idea.

Wow, okay, I guess Meg doesn't give a ____. wewe go Meg.

Requirement #5:You're old enough to kiss someone
I didn't know how exactly to word this. I think Pocahontas is in like her twenty's, and Snow White is thirteen, so I couldn't say wewe have to be a teenager. wewe just have to be old enough for your upendo to be believable. This is why Wendy from Peter Pan and Alice from Alice in Wonderland are not added to the lineup.

Wendy, I know right? Crazy. No need to be so mad, Alice.

Summer_Leanne I agree with most of your requirements. Awesome job! The one I'm not too sure about is Meg. Aurora looks pretty angular too..not as thin, but definitely angular. So, that requirement kinda confuses me, but that's okay! It's actually impossible for me to find another reason why Meg isn't a DP, so I'll go with your reason : )

magicfairydust Great article, I agree with the other points cept for the one about meg. I mean, yeah she's pretty angular but so are the other princesses.She's thin, but have you seen Ariel? lols

Swanpride Who cares about popularity? I agree and (in case you haven't read what I wrote about the issue a while back) I add the rule that the movie has to be based on a fairy tale or a legend. Which more or less excludes every other so called princess with the exception of LADY Marian (who is a fox), Kida (who not only doesn't sing, but isn't the protagonist of her movie) and Megara (who is not the heroine of her movie (that's hercules), but the villain turned good, hence doesn't fit into the "good role model" rule of disney). Well, I think the real reason she wasn't added is the fact that the movie wasn't that successful.

hisblueeyes Dang it, I knew I missed Lady Marian! Yeah, I agree with you, but then that would make like...one rule. And I agree about Meg too. I think I'm going to change the "animation rule" to "has to be good all the way".

hisblueeyes Dang. I knew I forgot Esmerelda too. You know, I can't think of an answer to that. Maybe because her story was based off a book, not a fairy tale or legend, like Swanpride said.

princesslullaby But, you also have to be the main character of your movie; Esme, Kida, Jane, and the rest are not. The only exception is Jasmine, but she was ACTUAL royalty, so she was added. This would make Kida the only exception, but she's not in a musical.

Pikagirl541 Nice job. This makes Sense and is well written. I do agree that these seem to be the standards and I can understand why some girls aren't added to the line up, but I still wish they would be. I say if you're featured with the Disney princesses (like Esmerald, who's been in DP merchandise, Alice who was featured in the DP enchanted tea party, and Meg who sang in a DP sing-along) you should be added to the line up. I don't think it should matter if your movie is a musical so I'd say Kida and Eilonwy should be added. But that's just my opinion.

TigerRanma I'm not sure if this is a reason but I thought the princess's film had to be popular too. Nice article.

Silversinfonia These are great requirements! They make very good sense. I had to think for some time before I remembered Esmeralda, who fit all of these requirements and yet is not an official princess. Still this is by no means a criticism because other than that it all fits. Perhaps another requirement should be that she must end up with the film's main male lead haha.

diluka96 I agree with princesslullaby about that the character has to be the main lead! Also i don't think that Megara is a bad role model because she turn good and will also teach young girls to be more realistic with love! The reason that i think Meg is not part of the lineup is because is not that popular and Meg's design style is by far different than the other Disney Princesses! Also i think another Requirement to be a dp is to be consider beautiful (or at least just pretty) so they can be more marketable! Btw Good article!

hisblueeyes ^Thanks guys. @diluka96 I just think that Meg isn't the best role model because she tricks Hercules, and works with Hades, and she seems to be very...pleased with herself. She's very seductive with almost every male. So I think that's why. I agree with the animation, though.

pretty_angel92 mulan wasn't put on the lineup because her film is a musical. it's because people relate to her and her movie was pretty famous

TheCrystalRing I think Esmeralda shouldn't be include because she didn't marry/end up with the main character/protagonist (Quasimodo); she married Phobius, who wasn't the main character the story focused on.
