Each sinister villain contrasts the noble heroine they antagonize.
Each sinister villain contrasts the noble heroine they antagonize.
♥ Please keep in mind: this is an opinion article, feel free to disagree. But also remember, my opinion is superior to yours.

10. Dr. Facilier

Definitely the weakest DP villain in my opinion. I spent the first half of the movie unsure of what his goal and motivation was. He just kind of seemed like a creepy hobo who lurks about and casts bila mpangilio voodoo spells. He kind of seemed like an after-thought in the grand scheme of the story, there was no great climactic battle. His scene in which he tries to tempt Tiana is basically pointless because we know that the princess would never just hand over her prince to be killed kwa the villain like that. It helps onyesha Tiana's character development, but it's not very suspenseful of a scene. His song was good but kind of long when wewe consider the fact the audience doesn't really understand why he's doing anything he does.

9. Ratcliffe

He's kind of scary and funny at the same time. When he says "I'd help ya to dig boys, but I've got this crick in me spine" I always laugh. His outfit is kind of funny because it's very feminine on an extremely large manly body. His voice is intimidating but again, he's kind of an after-thought of a villain. The villain in Pocahontas is zaidi the metaphorical villain that is war and hatred rather than this greedy douchebag alone.

8. Shan-Yu

He has some very chilling lines and is physically intimidating. All in all, he doesn't make a huge impression on me though. He is above the other two for his ability to kill and conquer and his ubunifu is very creepy and dark.

7. Jafar

A shabiki favourite among DP villains, I like him a lot. He is very sinister and sly and perverted. He obviously has a taste for S&M and is a power-hungry sociopath. He keeps his cool and only when he gains power does he laugh and vividly demonstrate what a psychotic twisted madman he truly is. I find him to be a painfully obvious villain though and there's nothing particularly unique about his brand of villainy which is why he's not in the juu section of the list.

6. The Queen

She is very intimidating to me. I find her elegance and icy reserved yet commanding presence very haunting. She is just so severe looking, wewe can feel the hatred sizzling out of her towards Snow White. She seems like an emotionless sociopath of a ruler. Only when she becomes the equally terrifying hag does she dispose of her composure and reveal the twisted joy she gets out of torturing and killing and burying people alive. She also has that transformation scene in the dungeon which is one of the trippiest, most disturbing scenes in Disney history to me. The direction in that scene is very horror-like. And when she first darkens the window and is smiling at Snow White in hag-form. I'm surprised Snow White didn't pepper-spray her for that look alone!

5. Lady Tremaine

Now this is one twisted sicko. Who derives that much joy from torturing a kindhearted young person? She is abusing a child and literally does it for fun! Her motive is so sickening and vapid. She doesn't want anyone prettier au nicer than her daughters to have any self-esteem! The way she raises Cinderella's hopes for the fun of it shows that it's not just about keeping cinderella from a night out - she loves seeing the optimism and faith leave Cindy's eyes. It gives her a satisfied giggle. She's so horrible! When she locks cinderella up, the smug look on her face is SO horrid! She is one of the meanest villains I've ever seen in a Disney movie. Her actions are unforgivable. I find it very compelling when DP villains aren't magical and onyesha the true dark side of human nature rather than being Supernatural embodiments of evil.

4. Maleficent

She looks cool, she's elegant, she's graceful. She's the Queen of darkness. There's something fashionable and cool about her that no one cares to admit they admire. She just seems sure of herself and I upendo the way she commands the room in her first scene. She is a bit of a stereotypical demon villain but the fact that she's a very feminine, demure one makes her a first for Disney. She also has a really sick sense of humour with keeping Philip locked up but letting him go. Villains like Ratcliffe would just kill Philip if he didn't want Aurora to awaken. It's the really scary ones like Maleficent who keep wewe alive to suffer for a good laugh. It's not just about keeping her prophecy alive, she actually enjoys human suffering.

3. Mother Gothel

I was very impressed with the most hivi karibuni DP villain. She has a great song and reprise and one of the most compelling princess-villain relationships ever in a Disney movie! It really disturbs me on a new level for Disney. That scene where she brushes toddler Rapunzel's hair and speaks to her in that motherly voice. She actually is the most manipulative sociopath yet! She is able to deceive a young girl into thinking she loves her! And apparently she has deceived a lot of mashabiki too! Trust me, abusive sociopaths can fake affection to a tee if it means it'll be easier to keep what they want - but no loving person would imprison an innocent baby for life so that she can exploit her for her own gain! NO ONE. She is unforgivable and it shows what a great job Disney did kwa the fact some mashabiki of Tangled actually swali her motives and mistake it for love.

2. Ursula

She's sassy, fun, unique looking, a cool mythical creature. She has an incredible song. She uses some of the most clever deception and manipulation to get what she wants. And all at the same time, there's something kind of likeable about her as well. When she turns into a giant, it's scary. Imagine how Eric feels...being a human in the middle of the stormy ocean with a giant creature with a magic trident trying to kill wewe and your girlfriend! Ursula is a great villain, she's just so memorable and easily my favourite female villain!

1. Gaston

Great song, great villain. Again, I upendo villains who expose the dark side of human nature and not just Supernatural embodiments of evil. It's scary how Gaston transforms throughout the film. If Belle wasn't as strong a character and was less bold and brave, he literally would have gotten away with blackmailing a woman and raping her and keeping her prisoner essentially for life! And on juu of that, NO ONE in the town would know how evil he is because he hides it underneath a charming exterior! I find that VERY threatening! Some people seem to think Gaston is a joke of a villain...um, he's trying to rape a woman and keep her as a sex slave! Disney uses "marry" to convey that he wants to force her to have sex with him seven nights a week for the rest of her life and he is unbothered kwa the fact she doesn't want to! I think Gaston inspired this type of villain we saw later in Disney like Frollo and even Jafar to a degree. How far would he have gone to get his way? He says "Belle is mine!" to the Beast, it sounds to me like no matter how many times she says no, he will stop at nothing to force her to be his. He has sociopathic sense of humour as well, he actually looks joyful when Maurice is being locked up even after Belle has rejected him. He likes seeing someone suffer because he knows it hurts someone who won't have sex with him! He's also terrifying because he's so popular, he has the power here. He can easily make Belle and Maurice, the town rejects, look crazy to force his will on them. All in all, he's my favourite Disney Princess villain. And he's devilishly handsome too, I must say.
Don't get me wrong. I upendo the Disney Princesses. They are all wonderful characters that symbolize the beautiful animated films they represent. However, I have to wonder, would Disney executives be sending a better message to their young mashabiki if they instead called the line Disney Heroines? The reason I say this is because there are so many wonderful animated women in our favourite Disney films that are excluded from this branch of Disney entirely. Luckily, Pocahontas and Mulan were made exceptions which I think was a much needed change. If every girl can be a princess, as one of the company's...

Iconic Disney Kisses <3
In light of Valentine’s Day, I decided to write an makala on the Disney Princess couple’s that I believe have the best and most realistic relationship. Oh, and spoiler alert: I only really like 4 of them.

Couples I DON’T like…

10. Mulan & Shang

 Mulan & Shang
Mulan & Shang

I upendo Mulan – she’s intelligent, brave and selfless. And Shang’s no novice either; in fact, his bravery, leadership and courage are practically matchless. But their relationship, it was too sudden; too forced. They lacked chemistry. Make no mistake, I upendo Mulan and Shang, they’re great – just not together....

8. Jasmine

FHG Ranking: #9
PPG Ranking: #9
Average Score: 9

FHG: She looks like an alien in my opinion. She has a big nose and extremely large eyes. She just looks weird nearly the whole time. I could only find one good shot of her. ONE. There is only one heroine who is fuglier than her, and is overrated in beauty A LOT. *cough*Meg*cough*.

This took a lot of thinking. I think I changed my mind like 31364684321354652 times, but here we have it! Magicfairydust's prettiest Disney princesses. I took into account what the princesses could look like at their prettiest, and also what they usually look like. It was pretty close :)

10. Pocahontas
I know, I know, I KNOW! SHOCKER! but tbh, I really don't think she's THAT gorgeous! I mean, I think she's beautiful in her own way, and she's very exotic, but she just doesn't have enough absolutely gorgeous shots. Oh gosh, I'm going to get so much hate for this one. She has the best body out...

All right, first off a little history about myself. When I was a little girl I used to enjoy the little mermaid. Ariel was actually one of my inayopendelewa Disney princesses/movies.

Now that I am older however, I have just recently watched the little mermaid one, two and the third movie which is Ariel's beginning.

I couldn't believe what an awful role model she is and how selfish she is. I searched on the internet to find others with my similar view on her and I stumbled across this makala here: link

My makala here is solely debunking everything this particular person is going on about and finally...

I figured since Merida is now in the line-up I should remake my prettiest Disney Princess list. I wanna make it clear that I think all of them are beautiful, just in different ways. Please maoni telling me what wewe think.

Classically beautiful but plain with a poorly drawn nose, quite common, and looks MUCH prettier in the third movie

I know I'm going to get attacked kwa several people but I actually don't think she's all that special. First of all the uhuishaji is too old fashioned and her ubunifu is too simply so those are two things that work against each other. However...

As my last countdown was boring, senseless and weird, I decided to go with a much zaidi simpler and faster countdown topic this time. Since my last countdown was not elimination kwa votes, I decided to try out the elimination kwa maoni this time. So, here are the results!

#11: Pocahontas
Many think of Poca's smile as forced and unemotional, and I guess that is true. She hardly smiles in her film, and basically all her pretty moments are non-smile ones. So no surprise she ended up last.

Comments:

"Pocahontas, looks really forced and unnatural. Maybe it is because of her uhuishaji style and the...

10. Mulan

 The Asian Beauty
The Asian Beauty

Mulan is a natural beauty. She traded her elegant traditional wear for an earth-green set of armor, cut her silk black hair to a man’s length, and wiped off every trace of makeup. And wewe know what? She still got the guy, and looked good doing it. So maybe she did pass herself off as a dude for 90% of the movie – but hey, that’s what makes her who she is.

Hello! It's been a while, but I randomly had this thought and no real place to share it. I know the title sounds a bit outlandish, but I think my theory may have some merit.

To understand the Rapunzel story fully, we have to understand the origin of the fairytale and what its morals might be for the time it was created. The original german fairytale about a poor man stealing rampion plants from a witch has been heavily connected to possible sexual assault and the witch as a cultural ikoni has always been linked to a uchungu, chungu older spinster woman, who usually never found a husband and was therefor...

Dungeons & dragoni (or D&D for short) is a super fun tabletop roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend wewe give it a try if wewe ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my inayopendelewa hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning...
