OK, so in my last article, I gave my reasons as to why I don't think Gothel is a full villain. In THIS article, I'm gonna give a orodha of possible backstories that may have influenced Gothel to be the way she is.
I'll start off with the one that's the most likely, but the one I don't wanna believe.
1. In her youth, Gothel was a very sweet child, but as she grew into a teenager, the trials and tribulations of teenage life took their toll on her. She Lost most of her innocence and became obsessed with things such as her looks, so much so, that it drove her to vanity, obsession with her looks. The dark aspects of the world made her moyo dark.
2. Gothel was born into a large family with a loving mother and father. She got along well with her siblings and parents. However, her parents ended up getting involved with the wrong people (such as owing a debt) and her parents and older siblings ended up getting murdered. Her mom tells her in her last dying breath to stay beautiful, meaning always be kind and generous. However, Gothel misunderstands and thinks that she means to keep her youth. Also, Gothel, saddened and heartbroken kwa the loss of her parents and loved ones, does not want to go through the same things and as a result, desires to live forever, making her cold and selfish.
3. Gothel's parents ad sibling com down with an unknown disease and die from it and basically the same thing from #2 happens.
