Hi, I know I'm kinda behind the fashion with this, but I've been meaning to do it for some time. I'm going to do this one quickly in my spare time, so sorry if I tend to ramble au don't give a particular area much attention.
Name: Niamh (pronounced Neev).
Age: 17
Country: Australia (I live in Western Australia. YEAH, SUMMER!!!)
Family: Mum and Dad (divorced, with new partners), and a younger sister.
Pets: My dog Taffy, the step-dad's dog Sasha, and the cat Bella. There's also two mbwa at Dad's; Butch and Zac.
General and bila mpangilio Info about me:
I'm average height with green-hazel eyes and dark blonde hair.
I'm quite smart, and enjoy school, and I'm planning to start chuo kikuu, chuo kikuu cha in late February.
I like to spurt bila mpangilio facts out whenever someone mentions something in conversation (e.g. if someone mentions a certain animal, I'll randomly say a fact about that animal off the juu of my head).
My birthday is American Independence Day!! According to MalloMar, that's a win even though I'm not American :)
Friends:
I have 3 good Marafiki that I've been Marafiki with for 5 years now, and I can really trust them, then there's a heap zaidi that I can easily talk to, but don't trust as much simply because I don't know them as well.
Favourite Books/Authors:
I upendo The Hunger Games, the Divergent trilogy, Harry Potter, Cynthia Hand's trilogy "Unearthly", Jodi Picoult always writes some interesting books, and I am currently kusoma the Mistborn series.
Favourite TV Shows:
I upendo The Big Bang Theory (I have two posters of it :D). I also like HIMYM, Bones, Castle, Winners and Losers (Aussie onyesha for what is probably the majority of wewe who haven't heard of it) and Once Upon a Time is growing on me (who am I kidding? Almost finished the first two seasons in about a month!)
Favourite Movies:
Too many!!! Ugh, Rise of the Guardians is really good, and I upendo The Avengers movies. The Ice Age sinema are good as well. There's just too many to name!!!
Favourite Bands/Singers:
Again, too many!!! I really enjoy listening to Muse, and I upendo Birds of Tokyo (local but nationally maarufu band) (on the side, I saw these two perform a few weeks zamani when Muse hit Aus. BoT was Muse's opening act. It was awesome!!) I also like The Cab, OneRepublic, The Script, Enya, Mumford & Sons, and many others.
Favourite Animal:
The African Painted Dog!! OMG, I upendo them so much! They're so cute as an animal, but it's not just that which makes them so awesome. They have a very diverse pack structure, and they all care for the sick and elderly, rather than just leaving them to die. They're efficient hunters, and although their methods of killing prey (something along the lines of going for the gut and blood vessels rather than the throat) are portrayed as unethical, it's actually been studied and alisema to be less painful for the prey and a quicker kill than what the lions do (suffocate, I think?). They're just such an interesting animal, and the semi-local zoo had some mtoto wa mbwa last year, and I got to see them!!! *fangirl squeal*
My Hobbies:
I upendo to read. I can be absorbed kwa almost any fiction book aimed at young adults, and also some adult fiction.
I also like to do puzzles. Word puzzles, maths puzzles, doesn't matter, I upendo all of them (except cryptic crosswords. I don't get those...)
I like to draw, but often can't find either the time au the motivation to do so. When I do, I spend ages on a particular drawing, until I think it's done.
I am also quite musical, and have been playing the flute for 6 years (hence my username, hajirah4 :P). Throughout high school, I was a main member of the Celtic Band. I joined in mwaka 8, when it started, and have left now that I have graduated, although I do like to jiunge in when the guys tell me about gigs. I also play the penny whistle, am a beginner at both kinanda and guitar, gitaa (my sister just gave me hers, coz she don't want it no more!!), and I want to get a ukulele after krisimasi :) I sang in the school choir, up until I graduated almost 2 months zamani :)
Future Career Aspects:
I want to work somewhere in either physics au chemistry. I have been told that I am smart enough to handle engineering, but that kind of bores me. There's this one job that I really like the sound of though: mining companies tell wewe what they need a chemical to do, then wewe go to the lab and actually try to make that chemical!! That'd be awesome for me: combining my chemistry smarts and my liking for puzzles and problems, and earning money for it!!
Random info about my life right now:
wewe may have seen on the club ukuta that I have to songesha house this weekend, into a much better area of town. Nowhere near the stupid loud highway, and the internet is apparently 3 times faster there than it is where I am now. Also, where I'm moving is a 10 dakika walk from one of my 3 good friends' house :D
I greatly dislike my step-dad, simply because he is a bigot (racist, sexist, anti-religion, etc. all rolled into one), lazy, pessimistic and an extremist (leaves for somewhere early, yet still speeds as though he's going to be late, just as an example).
I go on holiday with my family about 4 hours north every January, and I'm really looking mbele to this summer's holiday.
I'm going to Sydney just after getting back from up north (literally, 2-3 days after) for a 5 siku holiday with Mum, sister, aunt and grandparents.
Anyway, sorry for rambling, and thanks for kusoma :D

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The mwezi zaidi popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each mwezi I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!
I was recently informed that the problem with the pictures in the makala is gone, and now the pictures can be put inside the text. However, I'm going to continue using mainly pictures for my articles, because first of all, that's what I've been doing for the rest of the makala from these series, and second, I like this way of doing articles! So maybe at some point I will switch back to the explanatory and sophisticated words articles, but for the time being I will stick to my picture articles!
Here are the results of the POTM Songs Countdown: ~*Pocahontas*~ (May 2013)! Enjoy and share your opinion!
