Positive Messages
As some of wewe might be able to tell, I have been in a very musical mood lately. Along those themes, I wanted to make 2 muziki countdowns: 1 for Songs and 1 for Scores. I upendo Disney's music, especially from the team of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman. I almost never like covers of DP songs kwa Disney Pop stars so unless otherwise mentioned, all versions here are the original ones from the film. Here are my rankings for inayopendelewa songs:

Honorary Mentions:
With A Smile & A Song - Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs (So positive and uplifting plus an excellent message.) "There's no use in grumbling When the raindrops come tumbling Remember, you're the one Who can fill the world with sunshine When wewe smile and wewe sing."
Dig A Little Deeper - The Princess & The Frog (So genuine and upbeat plus an excellent message.) "Don't matter what wewe look like. Don't matter what wewe wear. How many rings wewe got on your finger, We don't care. Don't matter where wewe come from. Don't even matter what wewe are"

20. I'll Make A Man Out Of wewe - Mulan
I upendo how this is such a great little masculine song thrown into a DP film! I think it was an excellent diverse song from the lovely zaidi feminine songs. I think the lyrics are great and they often will get stuck in my head.
"You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot. And wewe haven't got a clue. Somehow I'll make a man out of you."
"You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot. And wewe haven't got a clue. Somehow I'll make a man out of you."

19. Poor Unfortunate Souls- The Little Mermaid
This has always been such a great villain song to me. I upendo the way Ursula delivers it as well as the specific words she chooses. (She reminds me a lot of my ex-Stepmom, especially when she sings this song.) This song really shows off how villainous and manipulative Ursula is.
"I admit that in the past I've been a nasty. They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch."
"I admit that in the past I've been a nasty. They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch."

18. Whistle While wewe Work- Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs
I upendo how this song shows Snow White's positive and genuine nature. I have heard her described as "manipulative" but I don't see that at all, I think she's a very good and decent person who does not try to exploit others to get what she wants. (Her plea for help to the Dwarfs was simply that, a plea from a 14-ish? mwaka old maiden who knew that was the safest place for her and she offered to do her part to stay.) Whenever I am cleaning myself, I always tend to hear this song. Work has to be done and it's best done with a positive attitude.
"So hum a merry tune. It won't take long when there's a song to help wewe set the pace."
"So hum a merry tune. It won't take long when there's a song to help wewe set the pace."

17. Almost There- The Princess & The Frog
I upendo Tiana's confidence in this song, towards her goal to open up her own restaurant. I love, respect and admire the fact that she doesn't just expect things to fall into her lap, she is willing to do the work to reach her goal. She doesn't let "trials and tribulations" bring her down because she is stronger than that and chooses not to be a victim. I also upendo the fact that she stands out in her town. She describes the people in New Orleans as being zaidi laid back and easy going, as mentioned in the line "This old town can slow wewe down, people taking the easy way But I know exactly where I'm going, I'm getting closer and closer every day." This determination and ambitious spirit is displayed beautifully in this song and I upendo the nod to her father in it as well.
"Trials and tribulations I've had my share. There ain't nothing gonna stop me now cause I'm almost there. I remember Daddy told me "Fairytales can come true wewe gotta make 'em happen, it all depends on you."
"Trials and tribulations I've had my share. There ain't nothing gonna stop me now cause I'm almost there. I remember Daddy told me "Fairytales can come true wewe gotta make 'em happen, it all depends on you."

16. Something There- Beauty & The Beast
I upendo how this song shows Belle & the beast starting to fall in love. It's so sweet and sincere. I think it also very accurately shows how true upendo plays out from a budding friendship. At some point wewe just realize that there's "something there" that's zaidi than friendship, the chemistry becomes undeniable. The initial judgments/perceptions are gone and a upendo has started to develop in it's place.
"There's something sweet And almost kind. But he was mean, and he was coarse and unrefined. And now he's dear, And so unsure. I wonder why I didn't see it there before."
"There's something sweet And almost kind. But he was mean, and he was coarse and unrefined. And now he's dear, And so unsure. I wonder why I didn't see it there before."

15. For The First Time In Forever Reprise - Frozen
It's been noted many times on this site but it's worth mentioning again, this song does such a beautiful job at inaonyesha the contrast and dynamic between Elsa & Anna. Their voices blend beautifully together. This song gets stuck in my head often!
Anna: "'Cause for the first time in forever," Elsa: "Oh I'm such a fool, I can't be free!" Anna: "You don't have to be afraid" Elsa: "No escape from the storm inside of me!" Anna: "We can work this out together" Elsa: "I can't control the curse!" Anna: "

14. Belle - Beauty & The Beast
I upendo this entire song! I upendo all of the lyrics and I upendo how well it explains so much about Belle's character. The fact that she went through hardship, that she is misunderstood, that she finds solace in reading, that she has big dreams for herself, and that she is a classic beauty in her town yet doesn't use it to her advantage au rely on it to exploit others. I even upendo all of the lyrics sung kwa various townspeople in it!
"Now, it's no wonder that her name means "beauty" Her looks have got no parallel But behind that fair facade I'm afraid she's rather odd Very different from the rest of us She's nothing like the rest of us Yes, different from the rest of us is Belle"
"Now, it's no wonder that her name means "beauty" Her looks have got no parallel But behind that fair facade I'm afraid she's rather odd Very different from the rest of us She's nothing like the rest of us Yes, different from the rest of us is Belle"

13. A Girl Worth Fighting For - Mulan
I upendo how flattering this song is! These men are marching off into war to face some cruel and merciless enemies and protect everyone in their country and the only thing they hope for in return is to find a girl, a love, who makes it all worth it. Some say this song is not romantic at all but I completely disagree. Although I am a woman, I think this song coming from men and their point of view is incredibly romantic. They are willing to face almost certain death with the hopes that a woman will upendo them, appreciate them and respect them for all of their hard work and effort to keep them going. Plus, what they ask for is no where near unreasonable (specific beauty traits, appreciation of battle scars, cooks well, praise and adoration and laughs at his jokes). They also don't just want a girl kwa force au circumstance, they want to impress and woo her. I love, appreciate and respect this song. I also appreciate and respect the horrible things that lots of males willingly choose to face as well as their uncanny protection and accommodation for females and children (usually strangers) so that they don't have to deal with the "ugly work". I also upendo that the song ends abruptly with the reality of exactly why it is these men need these kinds of hopes, for the horrible things they do face and deal with. Catchy too.
"For a long time we've been marching off to battle In our thundering herd We feel a lot like cattle Like the pounding beat Our aching feet aren't easy to ignore Hey, think of instead A girl worth fighting for!"
"For a long time we've been marching off to battle In our thundering herd We feel a lot like cattle Like the pounding beat Our aching feet aren't easy to ignore Hey, think of instead A girl worth fighting for!"

12. Part Of Your World/Reprise - The Little Mermaid
I upendo how beautiful and emotional Ariel's voice is in this. It's kind of heartbreaking for me. She sounds so sincere, so passionate with such longing. I think this song is just gorgeous, musically and vocally. This scene/song usually makes me cry because of Ariel's conviction and how gorgeous the song is musically.
"What would I give to live where wewe are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you, smiling at me? Where would we walk? Where would we run? If we could stay all siku in the sun, just wewe and me.
"What would I give to live where wewe are? What would I pay to stay here beside you? What would I do to see you, smiling at me? Where would we walk? Where would we run? If we could stay all siku in the sun, just wewe and me.

11. I Wonder - Sleeping Beauty
I upendo how gorgeous Aurora's voice sounds. I also upendo how this song represents Aurora's docile and innocent nature as well as her romantic and idealistic personality. She is so pure and graceful and I think it really comes through in this song. The only way she knows of finding upendo is the same way as the birds: Through song.
"I wonder if my moyo keeps imba Will my song go winging To someone, who'll find me And bring back a upendo song to me?"
"I wonder if my moyo keeps imba Will my song go winging To someone, who'll find me And bring back a upendo song to me?"

10. Let It Go - Frozen
Yes, I upendo this song. I think the muziki is very beautiful and I upendo the actress' voice in it. I've never really liked the song "Reflection" from Mulan but I'm pretty sure I upendo this song for the same reason others upendo that song. I think it's beautifully passionate and earnest, albeit not smartly written. As a song on it's own, I completely understand why it was such a big hit as it immediately stuck with me the first time I saw Frozen. As far as the film goes though, there are definite inconsistencies with the lyrics here and the film's story.
"It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small And the fears that once controlled me Can't get to me at all! It's time to see what I can do"
"It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small And the fears that once controlled me Can't get to me at all! It's time to see what I can do"

9. Listen With Your moyo - Pocahontas
I tend to try to find a balance between head and moyo but that aside, I upendo this song. I find it to be so incredibly soothing. The few lyrics that are here are beautiful as well.
"Let it break upon wewe Like a wave upon the sand."
"Let it break upon wewe Like a wave upon the sand."

8. If I Never Knew wewe - Pocahontas
I don't know why, and maybe someone could clear this up for me, but I remember this song being in the movie and playing when Pocahontas goes to see John Smith while he is being held captive. That was when I watched in on VHS as a child though. Now when I see the movie on Blu-Ray, it's not played until the credits. I do upendo the version at the end with the credits though kwa Jon Secada and Shanice, I think it's done beautifully. Anyways, I always thought this was one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my life, especially lyrically. This song really shows the power and beauty of love; how fragile and precious it is. Definitely this song makes me cry every single time I hear it nowadays because it's so beautiful. Perhaps because I feel the same way about my husband. There's a saying that "It's better to have loved and Lost then to have not known upendo at all" and I think this song embodies that perfectly. link
"If I never knew wewe If I never felt this upendo I would have no inkling of How precious life can be."
"If I never knew wewe If I never felt this upendo I would have no inkling of How precious life can be."

7. Belle Reprise - Beauty & The Beast
It's very short but I absolutely upendo and adore it. I can't get enough, it is stuck in my head all of the time. I upendo how it's distilled to the core of what Belle wants: Adventure away from here zaidi than anything else. It reminds me of the song "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" kwa The Animals. I upendo the concept behind this song.
"I want much zaidi than this provincial life I want adventure in the great wide somewhere I want it zaidi than I can tell."
"I want much zaidi than this provincial life I want adventure in the great wide somewhere I want it zaidi than I can tell."

6. So This Is Love
This stuck always stuck out the most to me from Cinderella, even as a child. It was so beautiful and romantic as well as so pure and innocent. I upendo the way it accurately resembles love. It accurately represents upendo to be transcending and heavenly. Definitely will always be a beautiful and heartwarming classic for me.
"So this is upendo So this is what makes life divine I'm all aglow, Mmmmmm And now I know The key to all heaven is mine"
"So this is upendo So this is what makes life divine I'm all aglow, Mmmmmm And now I know The key to all heaven is mine"

5. Mother Knows Best - Tangled
This song has been growing on me ever since the first time I heard it! I upendo it so much as I can really relate to it. I think this song perfectly captures the manipulation and deceit of Mother Gothel. I upendo how Mother Gothel plays the "Merchant of Doubt" kwa saying things like "One way au another Something will go wrong, I swear" she uses the line "Me, I'm just your mother what do I know? I only bathed and changed and nursed you" inaonyesha how ridiculously manipulative she is. None of that stuff means anything because that's her job yet she's trying to make Rapunzel feel indebted to her for being alive. Personally, this song reminds me of my actual mother and it really captures her villainous spirit (and she is similar to Mother Gothel) so I find this song to be brilliantly realistic and accurate.
"Gullible, naive Positively grubby Ditzy and a bit, well, hmm...vague. Plus, I believe Gettin' kinda chubby I'm just saying cause I wuv you."
"Gullible, naive Positively grubby Ditzy and a bit, well, hmm...vague. Plus, I believe Gettin' kinda chubby I'm just saying cause I wuv you."

4. A Whole New World - Aladdin
My all-time inayopendelewa Disney duet! I have always loved this song since I first heard it as a little girl and still find it to be such a romantic and magical feeling song. I upendo the way it describes young upendo to be so exciting and full of adventure and mystery. I think it's so beautiful. This is also one of my inayopendelewa jimmy, hunitumia scenes where she finally stops being a shrew for a dakika (until the song is over) and just lets herself be happy.
"Aladdin & (Jasmine): A whole new world (every turn a surprise) With new horizons to pursue (every moment red letter)"
"Aladdin & (Jasmine): A whole new world (every turn a surprise) With new horizons to pursue (every moment red letter)"

3. Honor To Us All - Mulan
I rank this so highly because I catch myself imba it all the time! I think it is so cute and catchy! I also upendo the dynamic it shows between Mulan and her mother. I also upendo the "recipe for instant bride" and find it to be fairly accurate. I also upendo that it does mostly match up with what the men say they want from women. I just feel like women don't really understand men as well as they used to and I don't think enough mothers give their daughters honest and straight-forward advice despite what feelings it may trigger like they used to. I upendo that Mulan's mother does this for her in this song though. I have the highest respect and appreciation for good mothers and wives so I personally really respect and appreciate this song and the way it holds that role in such high esteem. I see children as the future so I think good parenting is absolutely prime and necessary; One of the most important jobs in society. I still value families as they are still the best environment for children growing up and I upendo how this song speaks to that.
"We all must serve our emperor Who guards us from the Huns A man kwa bearing arms A girl kwa bearing sons"
"We all must serve our emperor Who guards us from the Huns A man kwa bearing arms A girl kwa bearing sons"

2. Once Upon A Dream - Sleeping Beauty I upendo classical muziki and I absolutely upendo Tchaikovsky! Ever since I was a little girl I always liked classical muziki and I loved this song. It always feels like a dream, sweeping me off my feet and making me want to do Piqué turns etc. all over the room. It certainly sweeps me off my feet and I can definitely see why it swept Aurora off of hers as well. It embodies grace and beauty to me.
"I know you, I walked with wewe once upon a dream I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll doYou'll upendo me at once, the way wewe did once upon
"I know you, I walked with wewe once upon a dream I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll doYou'll upendo me at once, the way wewe did once upon

1. Part Of That World - The Little Mermaid Nostalgia, nostalgia. Not just for the film but for when I felt just like Ariel and I was "ready to know what the people know, ask them my maswali and get some answers". I always wanted to explore and learn new things and have been very curious about other cultures. I think the concept behind this song is so beautiful and inspiring. I also think Ariel's voice is so powerful and feminine at the same time, sometimes it gives me goose, bata bukini bumps. I adore Ariel's voice completely, it's so gorgeous. I think the muziki behind the song is equally gorgeous. A timeless classic that I sing/listen to often.
"When's it my turn? Wouldn't I upendo upendo to explore that pwani up above?"
"When's it my turn? Wouldn't I upendo upendo to explore that pwani up above?"

I was out hiking in the woods with a few Marafiki of mine, when we all got Lost and accidentally mgawanyiko, baidisha up. Unfortunately, I got myself into the middle of the forest, and now I have NO idea how to get home.
For about an saa au so, I sat on a stump, praying that my Marafiki would find a chopper and pick me up.
Pfft. Some Marafiki I have.
Suddenly, a dark figure was walking toward me. She had beautiful, long black hair, and was wearing a skirt, upindo that went over her knees--bad clothing for the forest.
I took my notepad out of my backpack and set it on my knees.

Sadly, Spring Break has once again come and gone. If wewe asked me, they should expand it to at least two weeks...I'm just saying. Normally, I stay at nyumbani and just relax. But this year, I was pretty busy! I took my cousin Jade to Magic Kingdom last week! She is 13 now, but hasn't been to Disney World since she was 4, and she didn't remember much. I was so excited for her and looking mbele to her experiencing everything the park has to offer. Even though there were about 1.3 million people there, ridiculously long lines (110 dakika waits for Space, Splah and Thunder Mountains!), and high prices...

9. (DG) Aurora, (ppv) Ariel

DG: Just because Aurora is last on my orodha doesn’t mean I don’t like her. It all boils down to the fact that she’s not in her film for very long, and I just felt like I didn’t get to know her as well as some of the others on my list. She’s pretty, but in a generic way. My inayopendelewa thing about Aurora is that she’s a hopeless romantic.

Belle is my inayopendelewa for a number of reasons but the main one is that i like her personality, i think she is a very real character because she feels like she doesn´t fit in and many people think that sometime in their life.

Here is the problem with most people on Merida: she's selfish and wanted to change her mom. I can agree with that yes, but she changed and genuinely apologized in the end. Now I'm not going to bring up Ariel, they are very different but comparing them makes me look desperate. You're free to disagree, we all have opinions.
Though yes. I'm aware an makala like this has just been written but the mwandishi is fine with it, I've been uandishi this for the past two days.

Here's another makala of mine and this time I'm going to make an makala about my bravest Disney Princesses, but I can tell wewe that all of them are brave in their own kind of way so choosing where to place them was hard.

10. Aurora

Well, it's clearly not a surprise that she's so low on my list, but even though she's last on my orodha I still find her brave, if only she had zaidi screentime I think that I would most probably songesha her a bit higher up. Anyway she does do brave things, but not enough to songesha her any higher.

MAJOR: ANTHROPOLOGY

Already, as we have seen in her movie, Ariel has single-handedly made the mermaid equivalent to an humanology museum. The vast trove shows her deep intellectual passion for anything humanity; intellectual because she wonders about the objects and she tries to learn what they are about. She has always shown herself to be the eager studier of humans, i.e. anthropology.

Because this is such a broad category, Ariel will be able to choose whatever she feels...
