hujambo everyone! So I thought I'd try something new with this article. I have heard that wewe guys like criteria-based makala as well as opinionated makala so I am trying to combine the 2 for your liking. :D Because I'm a bit dorky and I upendo making and solving math equations, I always make a formula to figure out my rankings. For this article, I took the 24 most important elements of a Disney Princess film to me and rated each film relative to those elements. I also then separated those 24 elements into 5 categories depending on how much I valued them (relative to each other) and factored that into the "points". That might have sounded really confusing, not sure. I'd like to let wewe know that this makala will tell wewe quite a bit about me and my personal opinions which are not meant to offend anyone else. I'd also like to remind wewe that this is my criteria for DP films specifically, not all films in general. Anyways, here is a simple little outline of the traits in accordance with their 6 "value categories":

1st Most Valued Elements:
1. My estimation of Princess Role Model
- As a girl who grew up without a positive female role model, the Disney Princesses were my substitute for that. Seeing the DPs like Snow White & cinderella in particular, deal with such abuse as I did growing up, showed me that I didn't have to let the abuse corrupt me. Throughout all of my childhood, all I dreamed about was getting away from that abuse to a better life and the DPs were the ones who showed me how. While I did not attain their level of perfection (in my mind), it always meant the world to me that I had them as a scale of morality so the DPs that I can look up to mean the most to me and really are the #1 factor in my inayopendelewa DP films.
2. ujumla, jumla Moral- Similar to #1, I appreciate the fact that the DP films are supposed to act as visual fairy tales with underlying morals. I am so thankful that Walt Disney had such a dedication to inaonyesha the traditional semi-universal morals that he thought were important for all children because I agree. As a child who didn't get to learn those morals from home, I am incredibly grateful to Walt Disney's gift of the presentation and accessibility of such moral messages.
3. Romance & Couples (& Accuracy)- My mother rarely ever alisema "I upendo you" to me growing up and I didn't feel much loved as a child. Watching the happiness of the princesses in upendo and the way it made all of the abuse and hardships in their lives worth it, was something I couldn't help but deep down dream of. I am fortunate enough in life to have found that and so I only appreciate that presentation even zaidi as well. Again similar to #1 & #2, the "Prince Charming" showed the kind of man who could make those dreams come true. This is why I appreciate the princes who seem genuinely in upendo and not the bad boys miraculously turned good which is completely unrealistic in my opinion. I found a gentleman as a husband and I don't believe an ex-criminal would've been a better mate option in any way, shape au form. Sorry, that's just my opinion. So I upendo the zaidi realistic couples that have believable happy endings because in a way, I do see them as a guide.
4. Family-Friendly Comedy- I'm a bit quirky. I upendo mid-western humor. I upendo hardy-har-hars, I upendo puns, I upendo word-play and set up jokes. I just do. I think innocent humor is the best humor because it's the most clever, in my opinion. I like some dark humor as well personally but I don't like "toilet humor" which is essentially very immature humor that usually contains unnecessary violence au things pertaining to bodily fluids au parts.
5. How much I upendo the Score- To me, a score really makes a film. I upendo when the score just really captures the scene and everything about it. The better the score is in the background, the zaidi likely I am to enjoy the film and want to see it multiple times. Perhaps this is because I have such a upendo and appreciation for classical music.
6. Emphasis on Virtuous Characters- Similar to #1-3, I like when the story doesn't just onyesha the virtuous characters but puts enough of an emphasis on them that wewe understand their virtue is important. If they are not virtuous then I like to see how that doesn't work for them and why we strive to be virtuous; why it's necessary and important. If I didn't have a reason to challenge the way my family behaved, I'd be an awful person too. I also might not have never challenged myself to get out on my own where I met my very own prince. (My story is like a mix of Cinderella, Tiana & Rapunzel)
7. Prince Rescuing Princess Scene- Yes, I'm a sucker for it. I'm not a feminist, I'm an egalitarian and humanist. I value gender roles. Since I know many of wewe might get upset at that, please allow me to further explain a bit: I am slightly over 5' tall and very petite size as a result of my high mixture of Asian genetics. My husband is taller, stronger and smarter than me and that doesn't bother me nor does it make me feel like less of a woman au less of a human au citizen. I am proud of my husband and he thinks highly of me as well. I upendo the things he can do for me that I cannot do for myself and appreciate his willingness to do them for me (just as he feels the same in reverse). When I see the rescue scenes, I see that upendo and dedication. I upendo seeing the prince doing something for the princess that she cannot do for herself because that is when she is the most dependent on him and when he is coming through for her the most. That is the way I see it. I like to see the scenes where the princess rescues the prince as well but I know how much it means to a male to be able to come through for the women he loves like that a little more. This has to do with genetics kwa the way: since men were expected to protect and provide, they grew accustomed to it as a way to measure their value in society and to a mate.
8. Intriguing Story/Film- Completely subjective but I prefer films that don't have any "dull moments" to me. I don't mind slow pace so I don't mean dull as in slow, I mean a lull in the story that doesn't actually make sense. I upendo plenty of films with slow paces.
2nd Most Valued Elements:
9. How good I think the ujumla, jumla soundtrack is.
- Similar to the score, songs are very important to me in a DP film. I'm not the biggest musical shabiki at all but I upendo the musical elements of the DP films. They determine how many times I can watch the film again after I've already seen it, hence loving it.
10. Character of Princess- Very important to me. Aside from the virtuous qualities and emphasis, I like a balanced character in a DP who is feminine but not overly feminine like Marilyn Monroe as well as not completely rejecting au exploitive of her femininity like Gloria Steinem. I prefer a DP who is comfortable enough in herself and her femininity to not be an extreme personality.
11. Film Opening Sequence- The opening is what draws me in! Similar to kusoma a book, I want the opening to grasp me and really pull me into the enchantment of the story. Some DP films have such memorable beginnings and I upendo them!
12. Beauty of Princess- I upendo the old school fairy tales where the Princess was very beautiful yet didn't exploit that. That means a lot to me in a woman. Having beauty is having a gift just like strength au intelligence which one can use for the betterment of others au against them. As a little girl, I loved seeing the beautiful princesses because they just made me feel happy. Their smile was beautiful, like a painting and it brightened up the environment around me. I value this beauty for that reason. I upendo the stories of how a beautiful woman would use her beauty for peace not war.
3rd Most Valued Elements:
13. How much I upendo the Songs
- Similar to score and soundtrack, I care a lot about the songs in the film but not quite as much as I care about the score and ujumla, jumla soundtrack. Songs do make the film memorable though and again, determine how re-watchable it is for me.
14. Character of Prince- Similar to #3 (Romance/Couples), I value a prince who has a good character. The reason I value the romance and couple zaidi than the prince himself is because I care about the balance of the couple. I believe upendo brings out the best in us so I don't mind a character change in the prince if it realistic and honorable. I do want the prince to be of good character before any princess decides to marry him though. That is very important to me.
15. Film Ending Sequence- Similar to the film opening, I really care about the way the film ends. If I don't like the ending then it sort of leaves a bad taste for me towards the entire film. I guess I just really don't like that disappointment. I prefer the "happily ever after" endings to DP films the absolute most.
16. Entertaining/Frightening/Relatable Villains- A villain is a completely huge part of the DP films to me. Sometimes they have as much screen time as the DPs and often zaidi than the princes. I have found that the films I like the most tend to have the villains that I find to either be the most entertaining, frightening au relatable. Any 1 of those 3 can make the entire film a little better to me.
17. Splendor & Wonder of Magic- Disney is associated with magic to me: Disney magic! All of the early animated films had a big emphasis on the splendor and wonder of magic and I loved that. They left big impressions on me and made me admire the film much more. After all, I consider them all fairy tales, remember? :D
18. Animal Friends, Sidekicks & Fairy Helpers- Similar to the lines of magic, I upendo the unrealistic things we get to see in Disney films. One of my inayopendelewa things about the earlier DPs was their ability to talk to animals. It's one of those unique rare things that made the princess a "Disney princess" to me. I was never a shabiki of the "let's make every kind of girl out there into her own version of a DP". I think that's kind of an attack on the "princesses" and I don't see why they don't just make them something else like heroines if they don't really want them to be princesses. Anyways, I think inaonyesha the animal friends, sidekicks and fairy helpers is important because as humans, we were not made to journey alone. As much as I did for myself to get out of my bad past situation, I couldn't have done it without the help of others here and there and I appreciate them a lot for it so I upendo that Disney films onyesha that A) we do need help from others and B) if we are good people, others will want to help us just as we naturally want to help them.
4th Most Valued Elements:
19. Landscapes, Colors, Animation, etc.
- The uhuishaji is not as important to me as it is with most people of the modern generation because I don't actually really care about that specific part as much. I don't really see it as relevant to the story au my connecting with the film but I do like certain landscape shots and colors used that do make the film much zaidi aesthetically pleasing.
20. How much I like the Fashion Style of Disney Princess- I upendo dresses. I really do. I never got to wear them growing up, I was in jeans and a T-Shirt au sweater most everyday as a child and teenager. I have always loved dresses though as something about them is just so pleasing. I upendo to see the DPs in beautiful dresses that match their beautiful looks and personalities. I even modeled my wedding dress after Belle's yellow kanzu, gown because I was so in upendo with it.
5th Most Valued Elements:
21. Personal Relatability to Princess & Story
- Not as important to me as it probably is for others. I do like when I can personally relate to the story and it will make me like the film a little zaidi for that but I don't like it that much more. So it's a factor but a small one.
22. How much I upendo the Princess Parents in relation to story.- Another small factor, especially since most DP films don't onyesha the parents of the princess. When they do, however, just as I upendo seeing role model princesses and princes, so I upendo seeing role model parents. It also helped me see how wrong my parent was and I appreciate being able to see what a real loving parent looks and acts like.
23. Dance Sequence- A small factor but definitely is a factor. I'm a sucker for dance scenes in films, they really mean a lot to me. They can make me feel so optimistic and I upendo the serenity I get from watching a graceful waltz. In high school, I danced everyday as a way of getting my frustration out and I loved it a lot so it always has a special place in my heart. I also find the waltzes in DP films to be incredibly heartwarming and romantic. <3
24. Realistic Relativity- Since it's a DP film, this is the factor that I put the least value in because I appreciate the splendor of magic a little more. That being said, I really do like when a film has a realistic story au character(s) in terms of something that I can actually try to achieve au understand. If the whole thing is fake and very "Hollywood" style, it does make it a little disappointing to me because it's not inaonyesha a possible solution to certain things which I think can sometimes be a bit harmful, especially considering children are the primary audience of DP films and very easily influenced.

So according to those factors above here are my personal rankings:

12. Tangled:- I like Rapunzel as a Princess role model, she is very charming and played kwa Mandy Moore who I like a lot. While I value the moral of the story, I don't like it's presentation at all. I don't like the romance between Rapunzel & Eugene as I don't feel he is a redeemed character au worthy of Rapunzel. Realistically I see him as a guy who hit the jackpot with the perfect girl to take advantage of. Not romantic. I don't like the fact that he takes Rapunzel to a bar either, where Disney went far too "Hollywood" unrealistic kwa having Rapunzel charm the criminal thugs so as not to do their inayopendelewa crimes on her. Terrible, terrible, terrible to me! While they put a big emphasis in that way on her virtue, there wasn't nearly enough emphasis on her virtue requiring an equally virtuous man so that really disappoints me immensely. I didn't like most of the humor in the film as well as it was mostly unnecessary violence that had no real intelligence to it. The soundtrack is okay but my least favorite. I don't find the score very memorable and while I like some songs, I only really upendo "Mother Knows Best & Reprise". A big part of that is because of how much I do like the villain character of Mother Gothel who reminds me a lot of my actual mother. She is one of my inayopendelewa villains. I like Pascal a lot as well but that's about it. I don't like the film opening au ending and I didn't like the way the film used and portrayed magic. I also thought having Rapunzel be so talented without tapping into that zaidi and inaonyesha them come in handy zaidi was a bit of a waste. While there's quite a bit of the story that I can personally relate to, it's just not a well executed film in my opinion.

11. Princess and the Frog- Not as good a role model as Rapunzel though much zaidi genuine. I appreciate the ujumla, jumla moral of the film but I also don't think Disney went about the best way to present it. If Naveen was shown actually working zaidi at the restaurant and finding his own balance as well, I think it would've been a lot better. I don't like them as a couple because realistically I just see him taking advantage of her hard working attitude. Not a romance worth looking up to and certainly not one I'd recommend any girl to pursue. The humor in this is atrocious to me and very improper for children. I don't like jokes that make "flashing" sound like a proper, right au good thing to do and I hate that the film is set in New Orleans during Mardi Gras where that happens the whole time though they didn't onyesha that. I didn't like Charlotte's spoiled and rude character at all nor the way she was talking to the 6 & 1/2 mwaka old about waiting for him to get older so she could marry a prince. Especially considering all of the women who have been molesting boys in school, this was just disgusting and offensive to me. There are also plenty of scenes with ray involving mucus and inappropriate word play and circumstantial jokes that I just found to be awful. I often found myself tuning out of the film for multitude of reasons. I didn't like the villain, I didn't think he was entertaining, frightening au relatable. I didn't like ray au Mama Odie and Louis was okay, I guess. Another example of the film's incredibly inappropriate humor was when Mama Odie kissed a snake on the lips, so gross. I did upendo the opening with Tiana's mother kusoma the fairy tale story as well as the beautiful song "Evening Star". I also thought it had a cute ending though I wished there was zaidi from Naveen. Some of the songs are really good and catchy and Tiana's parents are some of my favorites. I can relate to her a lot because I worked 2 jobs after high school to get my own apartment kwa the age of 19. I understand Tiana on a deep level and where she comes from but I appreciate her much zaidi than the film.

10. Brave- Another one with a great message but I just don't think was executed that well. I think this film is ironically too mature for the young audiences it is intended for. I agree with many others that the feminists got too much input in this film and it's realistic aspects suffered for it. I completely believe Merida would be as good a shot as she is, since they onyesha her training so young with her father but her taking on a kubeba kwa herself is way too unrealistic. I think totally inaccurate portrayals like that are much too harmful for young girls who are influential and don't realize how fake the TV is. If she had used magic to defeat the bear, that would've been zaidi realistic. That is my number one problem with the film. inayofuata to that, I also didn't appreciate some of the crude humor. I was completely not okay with the scene that had Merida's father and all of the other men's naked rears after climbing down the ngome wall. Although it's often over-looked, I do like the femininity of Merida's character as well as her pickiness with romance despite the fact that she didn't have one. wewe will notice there are quite a few scenes that onyesha her to be very giddy and feminine. The scene that shows the suitors being presented also shows Merida perking up at the biggest and strongest looking warrior until she realizes he's not a suitor. This shows me that Merida was open to romance, if it was some great warrior like her father. I can completely respect that in a woman. I like the songs and scores of the film though they are not the most memorable to me. I didn't really like the villain and think they didn't make him enough of a villain in the story. I understand why but I don't agree and wish they would've made it work. I think Angus is cool but I don't like the little brothers until they have their character change. The witch is really annoying and unpleasant to me. I absolutely adore the beginning of the film with toddler Merida looking so adorable and heartwarming! I upendo her interactions with her parents and the will-o-the-wisp as well as the way they introduced the legend. I also liked the ending, having Merida and her mother making the new quilt together and going horseback riding together. I thought that was sweet. Decent film but just not one of my vipendwa compared to the others.

9. Mulan- Please don't blow up at me for my opinion. I have seen many women who went to the military and speak on tv about how they don't agree with lying to women about them being physically equal to men. link They are the ones who suffered the consequences firsthand. They talk about how the female body is not physically able to handle the physical strain in training, let alone combat, and many women end up losing their fertility. This isn't debated, except kwa feminists who don't care about what consequences those women pay as they're not signing up for the war themselves. I think this movie's over-feminist message is incredibly harmful to women. I upendo the message that one must challenge themselves to become better people but I don't appreciate it being presented in such an unrealistic manner. It's incredibly unlikely any woman could ever pull of what Mulan did and I'd rather onyesha women much zaidi realistic ways that they can actually be strong. Aside from that, I upendo the soundtrack, the humor is really great, the villain is incredibly frightening and realistic, the character of Mulan is incredibly balanced and zaidi feminine than feminists try to portray and Shang has a very respectable and balanced character as well. The opening was pretty cool, not one of my favorites, and the ending was a bit unepic with Mulan talking to Mushu. I can relate quite a bit to the values in this film and I completely adore the parents because they remind me a lot of my grandparents. ujumla, jumla I upendo most of the film but don't value it's unrealistic elements and harmful messages that can be taken from it much. It's not quite as balanced as I would like it to be.

8. Pocahontas- There are a lot of things that I upendo about this film and it used to be higher on my vipendwa as a child. Growing up though, I have changed in my priorities, appreciations and tastes so I don't value this one quite as much as I used to. I think Pocahontas is a wonderfully charming role model and I upendo that the story is based on a true story. I would've loved it zaidi if they had stayed zaidi accurate to the truth though. I valued the moral a lot in this story as well as it's representation except the ending. What a disappointing bummer for me. I don't at all agree with Pocahontas going through everything in that film and not choosing love. Personally, I thought that was bogus and also why I would've preferred a story that was zaidi accurate with her actual upendo interest au none at all. The score, songs and soundtrack to this film are one of my absolute favorites. Same with landscapes, colors and animation. I also like the sidekicks in this though they aren't my favorites. The comedy is family friendly but too much of the unnecessarily violent humor that I'm not a shabiki of, particularly with Meeko and Percy. There are many things I upendo and appreciate about this film and I used to watch it over and over as a child but it just isn't as timeless as the others are to me.

7. Aladdin- The main theme that I get from the film is "The nyasi often looks greener on the other side; Doesn't always mean it is." Others see the message as having to do with lying au staying true to yourself, etc but I don't agree. Every single character in this film feels trapped in some way and I see that as the prominent and recurring theme of the film. So according to what I believe the message of the film is, I really like it. I don't believe everyone is perfect the way they are and I wish zaidi people told my parents and family members to change so they would not have made so many mistakes nor affect as many people negatively with their mistakes. The humor is the best part of this film to me. I upendo the sidekicks, Genie in particular. I also really upendo the character of Aladin as a "diamond in the rough". I can really relate to that a lot and I thought they portrayed him really well. I don't think jimmy, hunitumia is any kind of princess worth looking up to at all, I think she's the example of exactly what women should strive to not be like. I find her to be incredibly bitter, rude and unpleasant which degrades the entire film and romance in it for me. She is similar to Naveen and Eugene to me, in that she didn't have much character redemption to earn Aladin as her mate. She is really gorgeous though so I do appreciate that. I really like the soundtrack to this movie and I don't think the film has a dull moment. Aside from the magic carpet ride, there isn't much splendor of magic in this film. I find the villain to be one of the absolute least entertaining and frightening but I do think he's somewhat realistic. I like this film a lot but Jasmine's character also ruins a lot of it for me. (If she had been zaidi like her character in the final sequel, Aladin and the King of Thieves, I would like her. Unfortunately, she's not.)

6. Frozen- Yes, I upendo this film. How can that be, being such a Disney lover? I'm not that sensitive to jokes. Honestly, I didn't even consider them to be as insulting as most others did. I figured the older generations understood that wewe don't marry a man wewe just met so no one needed to be beaten over their head with it. I thought the way this film beat the audience over the head with that fact was zaidi directed at the younger audiences who actually think the message of the older films was to marry a man they just met. I also consider the moral of the film to be that we cannot do things alone, we need other people and I upendo that. I consider Anna to be the main princess of this film, not Elsa, so I rate it according to that bias. While Anna is not as graceful as some of the other DPs, I find her to be very virtuous and I think the film does a great job putting a huge emphasis on her virtues. It shows how there are those who will try to take advantage (Hans), those who will be inspired kwa it (Elsa) and those who will do everything they can to protect it (Kristoff). One of my inayopendelewa things about this film is the interaction between Anna & Kristoff. While it is put in a humorous shell, I actually upendo the blunt honesty that Kristoff gives Anna. I think it's Kristoff's bluntness that really helps Anna grow as a person on her journey. I think genuine communication within a couple is essential. I also upendo the romance between Anna and Kristoff, it's one of my favorites. I upendo how they compliment and balance each other's strengths and weaknesses. I upendo how even after Kristoff resigned to the fact that Anna was "in love" with the prince, he saw she was in danger, realized he'd been right all along and immediately went back to go save her. I upendo the character of Anna, I find her adorably feminine and spunky. I also upendo the character of Kristoff, who I find to be adorably genuine and masculine. I also think that it's cute how Anna tries to act zaidi independent and like she doesn't need Kristoff but kwa the end, she submits and realizes that she doesn't have to act so tough and that he's not going to respect her less if she doesn't act zaidi masculine. I think this film shows the value of femininity with their relationship and I upendo that. While there are certainly some jokes in this film that are a bit inappropriate, as many of the modern DP films do in my opinion, I really upendo most of the quirky, wordplay and set-up types of humor in this film. Anna, Kristoff and Olaf's humor are all right up my alley. I absolutely upendo the score and most of the songs in this film. I also upendo the outfits! I don't like the parents at all though and I believe they caused most of the problems of Frozen yet get no blame for it. Anna was clearly already a better mother at her young age than Elsa au their parents. Anna really makes this film a lot for me but also Olaf and Kristoff. <3 Also personally, I thought a lot of points were made in this film against feminists without them realizing it. Kristoff saves Anna much zaidi than she saves him. She also needs his unique help on the journey much zaidi than she wants to admit. She starts off falling for the pretty boy but eventually it's the gruff masculine man who really earned her upendo (and was like a total 50s-type gentleman, even until the end!). In addition, the trolls in the "Fixer Upper" song make the point that Anna has no ring from Hans which debases the engagement. This to me was symbolic of the fact that without the serious commitment of marriage, relationships are just casual and not as valued au respected. (Despite feminist attempts to devalue marriage and commitment.) And lastly, neither Elsa nor Anna are able to make anything happen for the better on their own. In the end, they needed help whether it was from each other, Olaf, Kristoff au whoever else.

5. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs- The one that set the standards, at least for me and Walt Disney. I upendo everything that this film did to pave the way for zaidi DP films and I only wish that zaidi DP films stayed zaidi true to it's standards. It pretty much has everything I upendo in a DP film. Virtuous and beautiful role model princess, prince charming to the rescue, evil relatable and realistic villain whose motive is typical jealousy and vanity, ujumla, jumla positive moral to the film (you have the power to make your life positive), a fairy tale romance, sidekicks that emphasized the virtue of the DP and actually killed the villain themselves (best DP sidekicks of ALL time in my opinion!), and a completely memorable score and soundtrack. I didn't find it to be particularly memorable in the best way when it came to magic, at least not like some other DP films. I was a bit disappointed there was no wedding at the end au dance between the prince and princess but I did upendo the storybook opening which is completely enchanting and memorable to me! <3 Overall, I really upendo this film and I completely admire and respect it but I just happen to upendo a few others a little more.

4. Cinderella- The story that has been associated with me my whole life, even before I met my "prince". This movie has made one of the biggest impacts on me in my childhood. This film has one of my inayopendelewa morals and emphasis on virtuous characters. cinderella is everything that I dreamed made a normal girl into a princess. She is gorgeous, virtuous, good-natured, modest and so compassionate. She is also a little spunky though no one notices. I upendo the birds and mice in this film, how they are such a part of Cinderella's life and I upendo how they make the dress for her, even if I don't really like that dress. I liked the fact that the fairy godmother showed up at the most opportune time for cinderella to get out. I thought this film had a great message about being a virtuous person and not letting great opportunities pass wewe by. I completely adore the DP storybook film openings and I especially upendo the happily ever after endings. This is my inayopendelewa DP ending of all-time though, as cinderella is actually shown getting to marry the prince. In my opinion, there aren't enough weddings in the DP films. I upendo how beautiful cinderella is, inside and out but I especially upendo the character of the Prince. I upendo the fact that he doesn't want to settle with any status-climbing female but wants a genuine mate instead. I upendo the way they onyesha Lady Tremaine as she is spot on, to me. I upendo how good at psychological torture she is because I think it's very accurate of bad stepmothers, au at least mine. I upendo the soundtrack and I especially upendo the romance in this film. I upendo the long waltz into the courtyard and I upendo the symbolism in the relationship. I never really found this to be that magical, admittedly, I found it much zaidi symbolic. I know some people find the scenes with the mice boring and I can see where they are coming from though I don't fully agree. I think there are a lot of nuances and details in the characterizations of the mice and birds that make them zaidi exciting to me. Though I do upendo this film a lot and relate to it quite closely and heavily, I just upendo the other films more.

Now these juu 3 are the ones I watch the absolute MOST over and over, still to this day! <3 :D

3. Sleeping Beauty- Completely unrealistic, very unrelatable yet entirely enchanting and memorable! This is the film that made me want to be a princess. Aurora is the embodiment of a perfect graceful princess to me. I find her to be gorgeous and I upendo her voice. I am also a sucker for British culture (i.e. Medieval style of film overall) as well as Tchaikovsky (i.e. main influence of soundtrack) so almost everything was working for me with this film. I think it's a great moral of the film that "Sometimes bad things happen for no reason to good people and we have to make the best of it." though I don't think it was prominent enough overall. I upendo the dreamy romance of the film as well as between Aurora and Phillip though it's not my inayopendelewa as I prefer zaidi realistic romances to ndoto ones. There isn't much comedy to the film but it certainly has it's moments with Vernon, the owl and Merryweather's character and magical fighting with Flora. I absolutely adore the opening and ending to this film as well as I adore the score and songs in it. Of all of the DP films, this is the one that left the most positive impression of the splendor of magic on me. I adore the dance sequences and the "Once Upon A Time" dance in the forest is my absolute favorite! So mesmerizing! I also upendo and adore the magical vichimbakazi and while I upendo how much they did to protect Aurora, I wish Prince Phillip got to do zaidi as the prince in the story. He never comes off completely brave and heroic to me since he always has the vichimbakazi doing half au zaidi of the work for him which is my biggest disappointment with the film. Mostly though, I absolutely adore this film and everything in it!

2. Little Mermaid- Ariel is not the best role model for young girls. I didn't think that as much growing up but since I have matured, I have seen her in a different way. That being said, I don't think she's the worst role model a girl can have. She is flighty, disobedient and rude but she is also cultured, intellectually curious, loving, brave and gorgeous. She is the absolute most stunning DP to me, above all the others, as I believe her uhuishaji is the most consistent with her absolutely endearing and feminine beauty. This makes me giddy when I see the film as I feel zaidi connected to every emotion she feels. I also like the moral of the story to not oneself culturally though I don't think it was represented the absolute best. Ariel & Eric are one of my all-time inayopendelewa DP couples. I upendo how much of a complete gentleman that Eric is and how dedicated to finding true upendo he is. It makes their romance so much zaidi meaningful to me. This is without a doubt, my inayopendelewa DP film when it comes to the comedy (aside from Hercules which isn't a DP film). I think it has such a perfect balance of funny lines and funny scenes. I especially upendo the jokes that are made kwa Scuttle and Sebastian. I upendo the set up jokes with the "dinglehopper" (fork/brush) and the "snarffblat" (pipe/musical instrument) as well as little wordplay jokes like Sebastian telling Ariel "you're under a lot of pressure down here". I think they are so clever and make the film much zaidi timeless! The score and songs are just wonderful in my opinion, especially the score. I find it just absolutely captivating and I find myself Lost in the memory of the film just listening to the muziki from it. I find it to be absolutely heartwarming the upendo that Triton has for his daughter as shown kwa his desire to protect her and eventually turning her human and letting her go. I upendo the way Eric is so loyal and dedicated to Ariel that he goes after Ursula and I upendo that he delivers the final blow to her, rescuing his princess Ariel. I upendo the film opening, I adore the main titles and introduction to the sea, the mermaids and Atlantica City. I thought it was all very magical and majestic. Because of the mermaid and underwater living elements, this DP film also leaves a very lovely impression of magic on me. The film ending makes me cry no matter how many times I've seen it. The music, the upinde wa mvua created kwa Triton after the hug goodbye, the happily ever after wedding kiss... It's a perfect ending to me. I upendo Sebastian and kweta in particular as the sidekicks and I find them to be super enjoyable and endearing throughout the film and I upendo the variety of personalities that they bring to the film and how they compliment Ariel's personality for the purpose of the script. Ursula is one of the all-time best villains in my opinion as I find her to be incredibly entertaining, theoretically frightening and symbolically realistic. In addition, I get the gifts of loving Ariel's blue and pink dress which make me happy to see and I never get over that Tour of the Kingdom dance, especially when Eric lifts Ariel. It warms my moyo everytime! <3 I upendo this film A LOT, I just cant watch it all the time because it makes me cry each time. :)

Honorary Mention: Hercules- I put this in only because it would actually rank this highly with me so I thought it was worth mentioning. I never understood why Esmeralda/Hunchback of Notre Dame was put into the DP/film line up at the time but not Meg/Hercules. I upendo this film sincerely. I upendo how Hercules thought he didn't belong because he was adopted but then in the end he found out that where he belonged, was where he was loved which was on earth with Meg! I upendo their realistic romance and how a true man can heal a broken woman's moyo when he really loves her if she lets him. I upendo the sacrifice he made for her that turned him into a God. I upendo the humor in this and I find it to be the best done Disney film when it comes to humor. This is because it is so rich in culture! Many of the jokes are subtle and wewe wouldn't catch them if wewe didn't know Greek Mythology etc. I upendo that and respect jokes that require education and/or intelligence to get them. I absolutely adore the score and songs and I upendo the gospel style of the muses! I adore the beginning of the film, starting off as a legend being told kwa none other than the great Charlton Heston whom I admire and respect! <3 There isn't a single dull moment of the film and I upendo everything about it. I think Megara is a very beautiful potential princess. I upendo Hercules' character and how he's a sweet gentleman deep inside who just wants to feel needed and like he belongs in a community. (Since his just shuns him for his strength.) He is much like a male version of cinderella in some ways and I admire him so much for that. The ending as I mentioned is just spectacular with his choice and finding upendo and his happily ever after too. I think James Woods did amazing as the villain and I adore Hades' character as well as the Fate Witches. This movie also really captured the magical feel for me since it was full of gods and goddesses and all kinds of magical things not real on earth. Danny DeVito did an amazing job as Phil, the sidekick, and I also loved Pegasus and even Pain and Panic as well. This film had great sidekicks everywhere to me. I also loved seeing the greek architecture and seeing ancient Greece. What a splendor of uhuishaji that was for me. <3

Anyways! Back to the DP film countdown.... :D

1. Beauty and the Beast- Similar to The Little Mermaid, I cant watch this film all the time because it gets me and makes me cry every single time and multiple times throughout. It's so beautifully done and the story so beautifully told. What's not to upendo about this film? I upendo the princess and find her to be the most balanced and role model worthy. I upendo the ujumla, jumla moral to me that "A balanced personality is key." au "Who wewe are on the inside matters zaidi than what wewe look like on the outside." I think the couple of Adam and Belle are the best done couple. I upendo how they are symbolic of everything right with masculinity and femininity coming together, much like Kristoff and Anna. I upendo how Adam protects Belle from the wolves, that scene makes me cry, and I upendo how Belle makes him a better man kwa example not complaint. It's not one of the funniest to me but I do appreciate the humor that is there. I absolutely adore the score and most of the songs. I also upendo the way this film emphasizes virtuous characters, both kwa rewarding Belle and fully changing Beast. There isn't a single dull moment of the film to me except the song "Be Our Guest" which now annoys me for some reason. I upendo how beautiful Belle is and I upendo the beautiful dance sequences (and that there's zaidi than 1!) I only wish we could've seen a wedding too. The magic of the film, villain and sidekicks aren't my vipendwa though I do like and respect them. I completely adore the landscape shots in this film as well as the decorations all over the palace. All of Belle's dresses are my absolute vipendwa and I adore her style! <3 I also upendo how cute Maurice is as a father. I also find that I relate to Belle a lot as well as her story because I also grew up in a small town where no one was really trying to succeed au leave the town so I really appreciated that part of the story as well. :D

So there wewe have it. I'd upendo to hear your guys' thoughts on my ranking and format as well! :D

Author's Note: So, guys, this is a preview of a fanfiction I'm thinking I'll maybe do. It's Sleeping Beauty retold in Aurora's POV. What do wewe guys think? Tell me in the comments.

Briar Rose hummed to herself quietly as she picked berries from a bush. She smiled to herself: her aunts thought they could deceive her, but it was obvious they were planning something special for her birthday.

"I wonder what they're doing this year," she thought to herself. "Last mwaka Aunt Fauna sew for me this shawl, scarf I'm wearing, Aunt Flora made a maua, ua pot for me to put my flowers in and Aunt Merryweather baked...

hujambo everybody, during this time when we're supposed to give thanks and be thankful for what we have, I thought what not better way to celebrate than to insult all of the princesses clothes! What could be a better way to celebrate the krisimasi cheer! So without further ado, let's gooo! (I'm not including Anna and Elsa because 1. I'm lazy, 2. they're not coronated yet, and 3. #yolo.)

11. Ariel

Sorry Ariel, but I really don't like your wardrobe. I don't upendo any of her outfits, and it just seems every color she wears clashes with her red hair. They also seem too poofy and don't look too comfortable....

I saw CRaZy_rawR do an makala like this recently and it looked fun so I thought I might try it out :) Anyway let's get started! Also, I'm not including Anna and Elsa in this list, but their wardrobes are definitely two of my favorites!

Snow White: Rags

I absolutely upendo this dress! I upendo her other dress as well, but I've always found this dress so charming! I upendo the color scheme of it, and I upendo the blue hair-bow she wears with it. I think this dress is beautiful, and if the Queen's job was to hide Snow's beauty in that dress she definitely failed! Although the bottom of the dress looks...

Welcome to another Silverrose1991's vipendwa countdown. Today we will be reviewing Cinderella's outfits. Silverrose1991 would like to remind wewe that all characters mentioned in this makala are owned kwa Disney and all outfits in this countdown can be found in Walt Disney's Cinderella.

Let's get started.

6. Light blue nightgown

This outfit is cute and lady-like, but old-fashioned. I'm pretty sure Lady Tremaine just gave cinderella the worst nightgown in the house to wear, so it musn't be very comfortable, either. I like the neckline with the bow and the color isn't all that bad, but dull.

Nightgowns: Great for twirling around cinderella style!...

Here are the results of the Princess of the mwezi Hairstyles Countdown!

This is originally a BelleAnastasia's idea, she started to make countdowns for princesses' songs, hairstyles and outfits each month. She made the other makala with results only with images, so I continued her tradition, because personally I think it's not bad.

I'm really glad she let me do Aurora's countdowns, I hope wewe enjoy my pictures!

Snow White
I used to have Snow White low on my orodha because I had a hard time connecting with her. I thought she was too cheerful, old-fashioned, unrealistic and not a very well developed character. Her character definitely isn't all that layered, but I started liking her simplicity. I upendo how she is like a bossy mother to the Dwarfs and how she always makes the best out of a bad situation. I also think she's funnier than aliyopewa credit for.

Favorite Outfit: Princess Dress with a cape- It looks complete with the cape.

Since my birthday is soon I decided to combine two of my biggest fandoms, the Disney Princesses and Within Temptation, link. To make it even zaidi interesting I have decided to also give each princess that where in the old makala a new song that I think suits them so it's a good idea to read the old makala before wewe read this one. I also decided to update this orodha so that Merida could be included.

Snow White:link

This song totally suits her, when I did my old makala I hadn't listned to this song, but now it's one of my favorites. There are many lyrics that suits her, but the one that...

This is my first makala on fanpop and I hope wewe all enjoy viewing it! This is completely my own opinion and should not be taken seriously. I will be creating an updated orodha after Frozen premieres. Please keep in mind that this is a orodha for specific characters, not their movies. Otherwise, this orodha would look much much different. Let the countdown begin!

#11: Mulan

I have nothing against Mulan, honestly, but she is the one Disney Princess that doesn't interest me in any way, shape, au form. She is strong, chivalrous, and brave. Which is great, but I've always been a girly-girl. Her personality...

Belle, Nostalgia Critic regards her as one of the best animated characters ever and I have to agree. She's strong, adventurous, doesn't really care what people think of her, doesn't take crap from no one........and yet.....at the same time......it's those same traits that make her kind of ANNOYING!!!! Don't get me wrong. Belle is great. She's hot, she's smart, and she's strong, but wewe see, the thing is while those are good traits for a perfect to have, Belle has way too many good traits. She is too freakin' stinkin' PERFECT!!!!! She is like the ultimate good model of Disney. She always wants...

Allright, I have seen all those makala before about the role models but I would like to write one all together to be fair and to not be a single opinion, so If wewe can please write who do wewe think is the best role model. That's how I wan't to make the juu 10 with the help of all you. Please I think Mulan deserves to be number one so tell me for others. wewe can write for every one wewe wan't, for example If we have a lot who think Belle is a good role model, she will be the second. If wewe have maswali ask in comments, the final orodha (top ten) will be announced inayofuata week! Please vote, I will make and a kura ya maoni for that and remember, say why!
wewe know I hate when people say that classic princesses are not good role models and all these, wewe have never see a person who like cooking and cleaning, cause I like that, and stop judje them, wewe judje them and compare them with things that exist only in the 21th century and with a negative point of view, a selfish point of view, wewe see the critics about them who are very negative, cause that's their work to find negative things, even when they doesn't exist, wewe say they are only cooking and cleaning and waiting for a prince to come, wewe know they don't live in the 21th century! In those...

All righty, so about a week zamani I ilitumwa a kura ya maoni asking which countdown people wanted me to do. The winning pick was "Which DP movie is the most accurate compared to its original fairytale?" Now as much as I upendo this idea, I'm incredibly wary to do it as a countdown because I'm worried the results won't be accurate. Many people think they know the original fairytales, but there are countless versions of each of them out there, meaning that if we wanted the countdown to work, everyone would have to read the same versions. This means that everyone who participated would have to read 10 fairytales,...

So I made a kura ya maoni and asked all of wewe guys to give me your DP imba voices lists. The winner is determined kwa points. Whoever has the least amount of points will be the winner. So if wewe have Snow White in your #10 spot, she will receive 10 points. If wewe voted Ariel for #1, she will receive 1 point. I will give the final point score at the very end. The Princess with the least amount of points will be Fanpop's inayopendelewa DP Singer! :)

Thanks to all of our 26 participants!

Okay, let's get started... I will also give the amount of every ranking the Princess recieved. How many 1's, how many 2's,...

One King to rule the all
One King to rule the all
So did a countdown for best ruler for the princesses and the princes. All around at the end of the film the princes change (sometimes zaidi than the princesses) and so some could be better rulers than others. Now time for the rankings.

10: Naveen
 The Frog Prince
The Frog Prince

I know Naveen was going go out first because of being the prince that got kicked out of his kingdom. Everyone alisema he just get bored and leave the palace to go play ukulele. But now that he’s with Tiana he may be a better ruler.

So, I held a countdown of which couple was the most lustful, and here are the results. They are not really surprising, but they are interesting nonetheless. The countdowns on the kura za maoni were to vote off the most lustful each round. The final couples would be featured first on the article, as they are the least lustful.

10. Mulan and Shang

According to Fanpoppers, this couple is the least lustful. People alisema that they got to know one another, and because of the fact that their relationship did not start until the end of the film, it works to their advantage. But others alisema that Mulan...

So, I did a countdown and a reverse count down kura za maoni to see if the results would be the same. Well....... just read to find out.

Here is how the accuracy results work. If wewe are 11 on the Reverse Countdown, they receive 1 point, since they are the least disliked, but if they are 1st on the Reverse Countdown, wewe receive 11 points since they are the most disliked. After the results, I'll add up the total results to find out who is the actual favorite.

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The mwezi zaidi popular, this is another one of my ideas. Once again, I will be using pictures for my articles. A few months back I would have made a detailed explanation about each result, but since the hivi karibuni changes, fanpop has been uigizaji really weird. And yes, I don't like the...

I think we all know that hips don't lie. They clearly will onyesha wewe a good princess from a bad one. I for one, really think hips deserve zaidi recognition because they make au break a princess. So yeah, let's start with the hip mania. *I'd leave now, this makala gonna be pretty intense*

10. Ariel

Ariel's hips are the biggest liars I've ever met! They walk in like, whaddup I got some big scales, and walks out with human hips. (Did wewe see that pop culture reference, I'm like the movie Hercules) It's like, whoa. What. Just. Happened. I'm just gonna stop right here because Ariel's hips are almost...

A lot of people had different opinions, and it was fun to read what people wrote about why they like au dislike a soundtrack, and now the results are complete

10. The Princess and the Frog
