I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
Hi guys, while I had written about both versions of Disney's Cinderella. I thought that I write about both Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent, unlike Cinderella, both stories are based on different perspectives from 2 different characters. I thought that this makala would be somewhat a bit different. Also, in this makala I'll also be telling what I like & dislike about both sinema like what I did with Cinderella. If wewe guys disagree, I don't mind at all.

The Prologue

Okay, I felt that the prologue itself was actually base on Maleficent's childhood and it was when I started thinking "since when did Maleficent has wings?". I also thought that it was a backstory of how she became a vengeful person!
However, in the original 1959 version, she doesn't have wings during her introduction and she just appear in front of the family and their subjects during Aurora's baptism. I always thought she has magical powers since her childhood days. (1959 version)

Maleficent's Personality & Appearance

One of the things I was very disappointed about was that, after she put the curse on Princess Aurora. The filmmakers sorta like tone down her character very much like what they did with Elsa in Disney's Frozen! However, unlike Elsa. Maleficent was a villain from the very start.
As I mentioned in the prologue, I always thought that she was retaliating against King Stefan kwa putting the curse on his daughter.
Speaking of appearance, why is Maleficent all white? When in the original, she's all green and has yellow eyes. Her speaking voice doesn't capture the same quality as Eleanor Audley with that British accent she voiced the evil fairy. (1959 version)

King Stefan

Another major disappointed moment for me, was that they turn him from a good guy into another Hans wannabe. au I shall I say that, it IS Hans uigizaji as King Stefan! He was a good ally of Maleficent until he became a baddie! au worse, a psychopath as time goes by. He doesn't even care about his wife dying from an unspecified illness, he just let her suffered and died.
In the original 1959, he was just a minor character who cares about his wife & daughter. He was also pretty harmless and would never kill Maleficent personally! (1959 version)

Princess Aurora

I was very happy that she gets zaidi screen-time than her animated counterpart, her personality is zaidi bouncy and cheerful like her namesake animated counterpart. (tied)

The 3 Fairies

They are the worse batch EVER!!!! They suddenly become way to goofy and comical fuse into one. They are NOT as wiseful as they are portray in the original 1959 version.
Secondly, what's up with their new names? Is it because the filmmakers wanted us to get confuse with their new names au something??? I seriously don't believe it. (1959 version)

Conclusion

Unlike Cinderella, the winner of this makala goes to the original 1959 version. Although I do give Elle Fanning zaidi credit for her portrayal of Aurora, Maleficent is considered my least favourite Disney live-action reboot ever!
Wow! He does look like Hans!!!

So, I watched the movie, and my ujumla, jumla opinion is that it is good........not great. I say this because while the characters are nice, and the songs, the story needs some work. There are some plotholes that are jarring, and the fact that most of this takes place in 24 hours is a bit problematic for me. Even the character development and the relationship building could have been better.

Characters
So my ujumla, jumla consensus of the characters are that while they are organic for the most part, the development between the relationships of the characters and the characters themselves are too rushed (but...

Here are the results of the Princess of the mwezi Outfits Countdown!

This is originally a BelleAnastasia's idea, she started to make countdowns for princesses' songs, hairstyles and outfits each month. She made the other makala with results only with images, so I continued her tradition, because personally I think it's not bad.

I'm really glad she let me do Aurora's countdowns, I hope wewe enjoy my pictures!

Ok guys, I've been here since November 2012 and I finally decided to write one of these. Since I have been here I have made a lot of Marafiki and I enjoy getting to know all of you. Ok here are some things about me.

My name is Brittany. I'm 17 years old and I am a junior in high school. I live in a small town in Louisiana with my mom, two of my sisters, and my stepdad. I am the oldest of five siblings. I have four sisters and one brother.

I upendo all of the Disney princesses, but my inayopendelewa is Ariel. She has been my inayopendelewa princess my whole life and I don't think any other princess could ever...

By the end of the Disney Renaissance, layered characters weren’t enough. Now, the princesses had to be heroic as well. This is where Pocahontas and Mulan come in. Pocahontas saves her village and her prince. Mulan takes it up a notch and saves her country and her prince. Both princesses have been accused of problems with her personality. Pocahontas has been alisema to lose it halfway through the movie. Mulan has been alisema to have a flat personality.

Pocahontas
Pocahontas was a bit of a stepping stone between the early Renaissance “I want more” princesses and the later Renaissance heroines...

10) Cinderella's Return to the Palace Dress

This one is dull. Although it seems softly pretty when she's in the carriage. Outside the carriage it looks horrible.

Have wewe ever felt that wewe were watching yourself up on screen when wewe watch a Disney Princess movie? I read this book called Disney Girls It is about a group of Marafiki who recognize themselves as special people that are like Disney Princesses (they are one and the same). The Disney Princesses here are Paula (Pocahontas), Yukiko (Snow White), Ella (Cinderella), Isabelle (Belle), jimmy, hunitumia (Jasmine), and Ariel (Ariel).

First of all, I don't own the book series. It was written kwa Gabrielle Charbonnet.

What I loved about this book is that it shows there is a Princess in every girl. It shows...

When they came back to the ngome the vichimbakazi decided to leave jimmy, hunitumia alone for a while, but before that they gave her a crown to match with her dress. At this point jimmy, hunitumia could no longer keep away the fact that she had met a stranger in the forest
"I know it was wrong of me to do it, but for some reason it feels as if we met when I was a baby, we where supposed to meet at the cottage this night, now I might not be able to see him again", jimmy, hunitumia told the fairies
"Then it must've been Prince Phillip that wewe met in the forest, wewe are suppose to marry him, it was decided...

The voices of our childhood ikoni
The voices of our childhood icons
First of all, I think all the princesses are amazing singers. I upendo and respect all the voice actresses and I'm truly grateful for all they've done for Disney.
10.Snow White
I know you're not surprised. I upendo her voice, I think it's very unique. But at the same time it can be extremely annoying. Have wewe seen the official Disney Princess website? Snow White's voice is ten times zaidi annoying than it was in the movie. I like her voice but It's something I have to be in the mood for. Her best song is a Smile and a Song, I just upendo it.

Ariel is a sweet charming young mermaid whom I can’t stand. She hates her father for him trying to keep her safe. She goes to ridiculous distances to find a boy she met for a few hours, while he was UNCONCIOUS! No 16 mwaka old should be that swayable kwa a pretty face.

14. Megara
She is witty and independent. She isn’t afraid to get dirty. But, her voice berates me. She also literally...

10. Pocahontas

Compared to the intro to the movie I like the ending better, but I really dislike the ending because it isn't a happy ending and I personally think this ending is a little too overrated, on the other hand the ending is different from other endings with it being sad. Personally I think that Pocahontas should've gone with John Smith instead of staying, but hujambo she followed her own path. And I just...

I must find a way to be with him.
If I can’t have him, my world will always be grim.
No one I know will understand.
They all hate the land.
But it’s all I can ever think about.
I would upendo it up there, I have no doubt.
Especially to be in his arms,
Getting Lost in all of his charms.
Only then will I be satisfied.
Knowing that from now on it’s with him I’ll reside.
I long to be in his arms and to dance!
And find myself in a lover’s trance.
I must find someone who will help me with my plea,
Until then I will be miserable under the sea.
My completely new, updated inayopendelewa princess orodha is coming soon, I promise. In the meantime, since it is Disney princess songs month, I decided to do an makala on my inayopendelewa Disney song from each Disney movie. Just a quick, fun makala - I hope wewe like it!

Snow White & the Seven Dwarves - I'm Wishing/One Song
I adore this song - it would probably be on my juu 10 inayopendelewa Disney songs if I had an organized. It's so sweet, I upendo Snow White's little solo at the beginning with the well echoing back to her, but the Prince's voice is just gorgeous & I upendo the way he sings to her. It's...

In honor of it being Disney Princess Songs Month, I wanted to write a orodha of my inayopendelewa songs. This was incredibly difficult for me, because I really upendo so many of the songs. Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan and Tiana are not on here because we already know where they are from.
