Now I want to rank DP wardrobes. First I will tell about my style preferences.
My inayopendelewa colors: purple, zaidi au less every shade of blue( but especially turquoise) and green, pink, white, black, grey.
Using link my inayopendelewa styles are romantic and creative. My least inayopendelewa one is for sure trendy, I'd also say I'm mostly not a shabiki of dramatic. I have mixed feelings about classic style: I tend to dislike it in its purest form but I can like some elements of this style when they are combined with elements my inayopendelewa styles.
My inayopendelewa historical fashion eras: Renessaince, la Belle Epoque( vague term that usually defines 1890s-1914), 1950s-early 1960s.
P.S. I own none of images.
And here are some Polyvore sets I'd upendo to wear( again, I own none of them):
Finally, here is my inayopendelewa DP wardrobe ranking:
11. Snow White - dislike
Snow White has two outfits and I dislike both of them. I am not a shabiki of the silhouette( it makes Snow White look robust) and I dislike the combinations of colours she wears. It's not that I prefer monochromic outfits( I wouldn't say so) but I don't think using all three primary colours was a good idea( and I even think that this specific colour combination could have been used somewhat better). I do like really like both pale yellow and dark blue colours but I don't like them together. Red is my least inayopendelewa primary colour but it is the best colour for Snow White in my opinion and I would prefer if her signature dress were mostly red. I am not a shabiki of colours Snow White wears as a servant either, they neither work well together au flatter Snow White( though, to be fair, this time it may be intentional).
I would prefer if Snow White didn't wear those headbands.
Queen's outfit is so much zaidi beautiful than what Snow White in my opinion. Some Snow Whites from other adaptations were dressed MUCH better:
10. Ariel - dislike for the most part
I wouldn't say unequivocally that Ariel is an overrated character but purely design-wise she is definetely the most overrated non-Classic DP to me. The only of her outfits I like is the blue one she wears during kingdom tour. I would like it zaidi without any bow in Ariel's hair au with smaller one but at least is dress is pretty. The pink chajio, chakula cha jioni kanzu, gown and the sparkly dress are amongst my least inayopendelewa DP oufits ever. The pink chajio, chakula cha jioni one is zaidi beautiful than Snow White's signature dress because pink and white, unlike three primary colours work well together. But the only stand-out thing about this dress is the ubunifu of sleeves which I don't like. The dress doesn't flatter Ariel's body frame au colour scheme.
And I don't even like the combination of green tail and purple seashell bra.
9. cinderella - neutral about at best, dislike at worst
cinderella is probably the most overrated of all DP-wise design-wise. This applies to both physical features and her wardrobe. I really dislike Cinderella's servant outfit, I find it ugly and not because it's a servant dress and not fancy enough( some other DPs have completely gorgeous peasant outfits), I dislike the colour of juu and I dislike how colours work together. Cinderella's pink kanzu, gown is similiar to ones I normally like but something about it rubs me. Her signature ballgown is alright and wearable but nothing special to me.
8. jimmy, hunitumia - mixed feelings but rather not my cup of tea
The most of Jasmine's outfits are too revealing to my taste. However, unlike bottom three, she wears beautiful colours( well, I don't upendo red but lavender and turquoise are both amongst my inayopendelewa colors) and I really upendo her headband with jewels, they are zaidi beautiful than any of Snow White's, Cinderella's au Ariel's accessoires. My inayopendelewa Jasmine's outfit( as well as only one I'd wear) is definetely lavender engagement one. My least inayopendelewa is kwa far the red one: not my inayopendelewa colour, the most revealing of all Jasmine's outfits and the beautiful headband is replaced kwa boring crown. However, I'll give this outfit some points for a pretty snake-shaped bracelet.
7. Tiana - mixed feelings
I feel very conflicting feelings about her wardrobe, it's very inconsistent. On one hand, her brown medieval outfit is one of my inayopendelewa DP outfits period. I upendo the silhouette( especially the lacing, I upendo lacings!) and I upendo the hat, some may find this hat weird but I upendo unusual accessoires. I prefer this outfit over everything classic DPs wear, to me it's zaidi interesting. Tiana's yellow waitress uniform is very pretty too. On other hand, I am not a shabiki of her weddings outfits, her white flapper dream dress au especially her blue ballgown. Speaking about blue ballgown, I wouldn't wear this dress and I don't think it suits Tiana. I wouldn't wear it because I don't like the top: sweatheart neckline is very much not my cup of chai and I don't like strapless tops, I prefer tops with sleeves au not very thin straps. The skirt, upindo is alright itself and I would like on someone like Ariel but I dislike that this skirt, upindo highlights how bottom-heavy Tiana is. It's largely because of ribbon placed over the hip area. I would rank this specific outfit lower than either of Cinderella's ballgown and probably even Ariel's pink chajio, chakula cha jioni gown.
Now we get to DPs who don't have outfits I dislike:
6. Pocahontas - somewhat mixed but rather positive than not feelings
It's hard for me to stay unbiased because Pocahontas is my inayopendelewa DP. I wouldn't wear her main oufit( sadly, I am not blessed with beautiful legs, unlike Pocahontas. t's hard for me to stay unbiased because Pocahontas is my inayopendelewa DP. I wouldn't wear her main oufit( sadly, I am not blessed with beautiful legs, unlike Pocahontas) but it's culturally appropriate, suits Pocahontas and I really like how the colour of dress and colour of mother's mkufu both separately and together. I wouldn't wear exactly the same dress but I would upendo to wear something inspired kwa it([link these outfits from Pocahontas section of anukriti2409's article[/url]( btw, if anyone cares, I'd upendo to wear what anukriti2409 picked for Anna and first row for Merida). Pocahontas' only other outfit, the sequel ballgown, is gorgeous and the only good thing about trashy sequel. I actually prefer over Belle's iconic ballgown. I upendo the colours, I upendo the neckline and the pattern on it, I upendo the turqouise jewelry and how it work with rest of outfit. I DON'T upendo the big bow on the skirt, upindo though and I would like dress zaidi without them. I would definetely wear this dress.
5.Aurora - really like
Aurora is the only Classic DP whose aesthetic appeal I understand well. I upendo all the colours Aurora that wears( Grey! Blue! Pink!). I upendo the silhouettes of her dresses. I would upendo to wear her dresses. However, not a shabiki of jewelry she wears, it's a bit boring to me.
4. Mulan - love
I really like the silhouettes Mulan wears. My inayopendelewa outfit of hers is kwa far Matchmaker one because gorgeous colours. It's a much better example of multicoloured dress than Snow White. Red, dark blue, pink( a paler shade of red), purple( combination of red and blue) and white( a neutral colour). What a clever choice of colours( although it would be better without the green mkufu that grandmother gave)! Multicoloured dress are difficult to handle but Mulan's Matchmaker outfit is an example it's possible. Generally I prefer Mulan's oufits from sequel over most of Mulan's outfits from first movie( save for, again, Matchmaker dress).
Mulan's gorgeous comb with lotus is one of my inayopendelewa DP accessoires.
3. Belle - love
Even Belle's blue commoner outfit, the one that may not be intended to be impressive at all, is very beautiful in my opinion and I upendo this outfit. I feel this dress represents Belle and the specific kind of charm she possesses very well, it adds her specific appeal. I'd like to own it. Her green outfit is probably my favorite, it's both of gorgeous color( very beautiful shade of green and they work together greatly) and gorgeous silhouette. I adore the pink dress two, I upendo the shades of pink and how they work together, I really like the skirt, upindo but especially I upendo the Grace Kelly-like neckline. Talking about Belle's iconic golden ballgown, now I don't upendo it as much as Belle's outfits I already mentioned. It's beautiful but not in my juu 5 DP outfits.
2. Rapunzel - adore
I simply adore Rapunzel's signature lavender dirndl: gorgeous color and gorgeous silhouette( save for sweetheart neckline), I upendo the juu lacing, the floral pattern is beautiful and cleverly placed. This dress represents youth and fairytale to me. Rapunzel's other outfits are somewhat plainer but still very pretty and with cleverly placed floral patterns. A true wardrobe for a German princess.
1. Merida - adore
Merida is my least inayopendelewa DP personality-wise but I adore her wardrobe and I really appreciate Brave for portraying Scotland as unique country with unique culture. Both Merida's casual and tourney dresses are of gorgeous color scheme and silhouette. I associate the color of Merida's dress with nature, with forests and water, I upendo little golden elements and how they work beautifully with with primary color of dress, I really like neckline and Merida looks like wooden nymph in this dress. This is a true dress for European Pocahontas (or Tzipporah and, btw, I'd upendo to see Tzipporah in this dress because the colors are similiar to ones she wears). Merida's tourney dress is of gorgeous shade of blue, the golden pattern on the bottom is very beautiful and so is the shape of neckline. Merida's tourney tiara is gorgeous, it's unique, elegant and interestingly shaped. It's the most beautiful of all tiaras I've ever seen in DP movies. I would totally upendo to own Merida's wardrobe.
My inayopendelewa colors: purple, zaidi au less every shade of blue( but especially turquoise) and green, pink, white, black, grey.
