Yes! Disney Princesses are here for our enjoyment, not our harsh opinions.

I think criticism is fine and that opinions are meant to be heard

Actually I don't think it can be too much, not ever can there be too much criticism, but when you repeat it, over and over again that's when it gets annoying. DPs are here for our enjoyment, but if someone disagrees they have the right to say so, just as long as they don't get over barring with it.

Well-thought out criticism can lead to interesting discussions and viewpoints. The usual run-of-the-mill "HATE!" is just annoying. It also depends on when and where. If people are criticizing out there on the streets, it's their right. If they're criticizing here, where the whole point is to celebrate Disney Princesses, then they need to take it somewhere else.

^I agree with most of that. but not the choice in the poll itself. people can have opinions on whatever they want, even if it's a dumb, mean, or untrue one.

but like KL said, people go too far, and some parents act just plain unintelligent about it. bad case of criticizing movies you don't even watch! how stupid! (I hate using that word but it's honestly just STUPID to hate on fictional characters so much when you won't even watch the movies.).

It's only Mulan and Poca who get absolutely no criticism. Occasionally Rapunzel and Belle will, but not much, either. Jasmine is on the fence, when people don't forget her they hate her for forgiving Aladdin (I guess, I'm not sure why parents dislike her, and I've never heard "bratty" as one of them) or love her for being rebellious (which is a VERY stupid reason for parents to like! Do they want their kids to rebel too?). Now Elsa is also seen as the perfect role model for the stupid reason of simply not ending up with a love interest. Hey, I could probably find some evil dictators who didn't either. So I guess logically that makes them good role models too. I hate how they call the obedient/rule following ones BAD role models but the ones that disobey more are apparently good? like, you really want your kid to do that? That's illogical.

People just lack common sense, badly. "Why doesn't Cinderella run away??//??" Um, because in reality women had few places to go outside their own homes, duh. "Belle teaches you to love monsters and abusive men!11!!!!!" Way to miss the point. And so on.
