I don't see any resemblance between Ariel and Sherri. But there is a strong resemblance between her and Alyssa.

Alyssa is a popular misconception. That was just a rumor back in the day. Their faces couldn't look less alike to me. Anyway, i heard it was her 80s hair that was the inspiration, rather than her face.

Sherri too was just the live action model as far as I know. But you should've used a youngest pic, since she's too old to look anything like her now.

I tried to but I couldn't find any young pictures of her. This was the only picture of her I could find. The other pictures I round of her was Ariel, Alyssa, and for some reason, Paige O'Hara, even though I typed the words "Sherri Stoner". If I could've found a picture of her when she was young, I would've used it for sure. But as for Alyssa, she said so herself that the animators told her that they used her picture to model Ariel's face. It was when she was about 14-16 so of course her face looks different now.
