"Kowalski, analysis!" Skipper cried.
"On it, Skipper!" Kowalski yelled, running up to the crate.
Just that morning, Alice placed a crate in the penguin, auk habitat. They had come up from HQ to start their daily routine and found it.
Kowalski whipped out a stethoscope from nowhere and placed it against the crate.
"I hear nothing Skip-- ah, wait...yes. I can hear a faint humming noise. From my knowledge it sounds like some sort of gun warming up. Wait...it's a--"
He was cut short from an explosion coming from the crate. Kowalski was thrown back as the others ran for cover. Kowalski shielded himself from the flying debris. He stood up and dusted himself off, then looked to see what caused it. He saw a female penguin, auk standing where the crate was, holding a strange looking gun. She blinked and swiveled her head, looking around, not once moving from her position.
"Whoa..." Kowalski whispered. He stood there, astounded, staring at the new penguin. She eventually locked eyes with him, and opened her beak to say something, when Skipper walked up to her.
"Ma'm, just WHAT do wewe think you're doing?" He reached out for her gun. "You can't just--"
The penguin, auk grabbed his flipper and threw him onto the ground, face first.
"Skippah!" Private yelled. Him and Rico ran up to him.
"Ey!" Rico alisema angrily to the new penguin. He pushed her slightly. She responded kwa grabbing his flippers and throwing him onto Private, who was trying to help Skipper up. They landed together in a heap.
"That'll teach wewe all not to disturb someone when they're trying to sleep!" She yelled angrily, staring down at the three men in a pile up.
"British..." Kowalski commented, noting her accent. She looked up at him with bright green eyes. She had a look of annoyance on her face, but it vanished when she looked at Kowalski.
"Oh, you." She said. "Forgot wewe were there." She maneuvered her way around the defeated penguins and up to Kowalski.
"Name's Bella." She said, holding out her flipper.
Kowalski just starred at her, oblivious to her friendly gesture. She pushed her flipper closer to his chest.
"And you?" She asked, with a "Come on, you're not THAT dumb" look on her face.
"O-oh! I-I'm Kowalski." He said, flustered, shaking her flipper. A tingle went up his flipper. Bella had a strange look on her face, so he thought she felt it too. She looked up and locked eyes with him. They stared at each other for what seemed like forever, until Skipper broke the silence.
"Just who do wewe think wewe are?!" He yelled, standing up and walking to her.
"Bella." She answered straight-faced, with a teasing glint in her eye.
Skipper, frustrated, looked her straight in the eyes. Well, zaidi like up and diagonally in the eyes. She was nearly as tall as Kowalski.
"You don't want to mess with me, Bella, if that's your REAL name. I've taken down a kubeba with my bare flippers!" He shouted.
"Ugh, I don't have time for this." Bella sighed. She walked towards what was left of the bottom of the crate.
"Hey, I'm not done with you!" Skipper yelled.
Ignoring him, Bella reached for a bag that the guys hadn't seen before. She unzipped it and reached in, putting her gun away in the process, pulled out a folder and opened it. She started shifting through the papers until she found what she was looking for; then took a couple papers from the folder and flipped through them quickly.
"Ok then!" She said. "Private, Rico, Skipper, I'm sorry for hurting you. Private, it's an honor to finally meet you, your Uncle Nigel has told me all about you."
"Uncle Nigel?" Private asked.
"Yes, him and I work in the same agency. He tells me all about you. Oh, and Kowalski, pleasure to meet another scientists like myself." She smiled warmly when she alisema the last sentence.
"Wait, an agency? So wewe are a spy!" Skipper alisema triumphantly.
"No, an agent. Hence the word "agency." Bella answered, annoyed. She reached into her bag, pulled out a badge, and handed it to Skipper. Skipper just stared at it, unable to read what was on it, but not wanting to admit it.
"Oh that's right! wewe can't read, can you?" Bella asked tauntingly.
"Can too!" Skipper retorted.
"Oh yeah?" Bella said, "Then read it out loud."
"Uh...umm..." Skipper raked his mind for a comeback. "I don't need to read it! All I need to know is that you're working for Blowhole!" He shouted.
"Mmm yep, good excuse. Here, I'll read it." Bella said, snatching it out of Skipper's flipper.
"Bella Anka, born October fourth, 1988." She started. "Honorary member of the ASOUK, the Animal Spy Organization of the United Kingdom. Specializes in science and Field Ops." When Skipper still alisema nothing, she spoke again.
"My boss gave me your profiles. He wants me to recruit wewe and your team to our Agency." She alisema impatiently.
"Well no dice! Just fix up your little crate and ship yourself off to wherever wewe came from!" Skipper exclaimed.
Bella smirked. "I don't think my mother would appreciate that."
Private giggled, and Kowalski and Rico cracked a smile. Skipper slapped Private on the side of his head.
"Ooo, someone can't take a joke." Bella alisema mockingly.
Skipper raised his flipper in frustration. This girl just didn't know when to stop!
"You wouldn't hit a girl now, would you?" She asked, with a look of innocence on her face.
Skipper glared at her, then glanced to his right at Private, who had worry written all over his face. Skipper groaned and put his flipper down.
"Fine, but don't go thinking wewe won just yet." He told her.
Bella rolled her eyes and shifted through her bag. She pulled out a blank folder and handed it to Skipper.
"Here." She said. "This is everything wewe need to know, in PICTURES, for your sake. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to find a place to sleep." She sauntered over to the HQ entrance and kicked the bowl away.
"Thought so." She muttered to herself, before going down.
"Whoa..." Rico breathed, breaking the silence.
"What?!" Skipper asked.
"Well Skippah." Private answered for Rico. "It's just that...she's the only girl to stand up to you, besides Marlene, and she beat you."
"That was a fluke!" Skipper cried defensively. "I was taken kwa surprise! And...I can't fight a girl!"
Private, not wanting to argue, tried to change the subject.
"Should we really leave Bella, someone we just met, alone in the HQ?" He asked.
"Cheese and crackers! We need to stop her!" Skipper ordered, going down the hatch with the team following.
When they got down they found Bella sitting on Private's bunk with her bag at her side.
"So, where do I sleep?" She asked casually.
"Up there." Skipper answered sternly, pointing up.
Bella laughed. "No seriously, where?"
Skipper's flipper remained up, and Bella sighed.
"Fine, I'll go!" Bella exclaimed. She got up and walked kwa them. She brushed Kowalski’s side lightly as she passed by. It sent tingles up his spine.
She climbed the ladder and closed the hatch. She opened her bag again and looked around, then pulled out a recorder.
“I haven’t seen anything worth stealing yet. I’ll have to get a look inside Kowalski’s lab tomorrow.” She clicked the recorder off and put it back in her bag before she heard someone talking.
"Hey, brainy penguin! I am of needing with your help!" She looked up to see a familiar lemur walking towards her.
"My smo-- hey, you're not Kowalski!" He said.
"Julien?" Bella asked cautiously. Something clicked in Julien's brain and his eyes lit up.
"Bella!!" He shouted, running up and hugging her.
"Julien! I haven't seen wewe in ages!" Bella cried, returning the hug.
They pulled away and smiled at each other.
"How long have wewe been here?" Bella asked. "And why would wewe leave Madagascar? wewe loved it there!"
"Ehh...long story. I won't be getting into all of da details, let's just say some zaidi penguins came to Madagascar. These penguins, actually." Julien told her, pointing down to the HQ. Bella nodded, getting the point.
"So, who else is here?" She asked.
"Oh, just Maurice and Mort. No one important." He answered.
"Right. No one important." Bella alisema sarcastically.
"Well, I must be going now. I need that Kowalski guy to fix my smoothie maker!" Julien said, walking towards the hatch. Then Bella had an idea.
"Hey Julien, could I sleep—"
She was cut short as Julien jumped down the hatch.
"...In your habitat." She finished. She thought of following, but didn't feel like getting into an argument with Skipper.
"Well, so much for that idea." She said, flopping down in defeat. “Now, where to sleep.”
Just as she was about to attempt to make a bed, she heard someone come up to her.
"Hi, I'm Marlene!" The otter said. "I know it's late but I heard that there was a new penguin, auk and I wanted to say hi."
Bella smiled and stood up. "Bella. Nice to meet you."
Marlene extended her paw and Bella shook it.
"Um, may I ask, why wewe were on the ground?" Marlene asked.
"Oh, Skipper told me--"
"I get it." Marlene interrupted. "Skipper is easily paranoid, it's not your fault."
Bella nodded. "Thanks. But I have nowhere to sleep."
"Come with me, wewe can sleep in my habitat." Marlene offered.
Bella smiled. "Thank you."

Well, did wewe like it? I tried to make the format better, like wewe guys wanted, but I don't think I did very good, sorry. Again, if wewe didn't like it don't yell at me. Also, don't worry if the Julien thing confused you, I'll explain it in a later chapter. But I assure you, there is NO romance between them. :)
