Chapter 3
A New School Year

Ginny could not believe what her father just said. She stood there for a long time before anyone spoke.

Ginny: No... it can't be...Snape? she falls on the sofa

Mr Weasley: I'm so sorry dear.

Ginny [angrliy]: But he killed Dumbledore!

Mr Weasley: I know, I'm just as disgusted as wewe are.

Miss Weasley: This is outragous! No, I have had enough! we are going to my Aunt's house first thing-

Mr. Weasley: Molly! wewe know Ginny has to go back! if she doesn't, who knows what will happen to us! She's just going to have to deal with it.

Ginny: He betrayed us! how could they?!

Mr. Weasley: It's You-Know-Who who appointed him, Snape is, after all, on his side now.

Ginny: Any zaidi bad news?

Mr Weasley: Well, actually... yes. I wanted wewe to wait until wewe got to the ngome but I think wewe deserve a fair warning. There will be two new teachers at school. They are the Carrow siblings. They're Death Eaters.

Ginny felt even zaidi angry than ever. How was she and her Marafiki going to survive there, she didn't know. There was absolutley no way that they were going to revive the D.A now, not with Snape as the new Headmaster. If Ron, Harry and Hermione were here it would have been worse, especially for Harry because it was he, after all, who witnessed Snape kill Dumbledore.

Mr. Weasley: Well, wewe should go to kitanda now. We have to take wewe to King's kuvuka, msalaba early tomorrow because Kingsley and I agreed to escort the two of wewe there before work.

The inayofuata morning, after a quiet and quick breakfast, Kingsley arrived with a Flying car and helped put Ginny's things in the trunk. kwa around 10:30 they got to the station, which was packed of Muggles as usual. Once they got to the Hogwarts Express, Ginny spotted many First Years crying and begging to be taken nyumbani while their parents were comforting them and repeating why they must go. Miss Weasley looked like she wanted to take all of them to her Aunts house. Before she got on the train, Mr Weasley pulled Ginny aside so he could speak to her

Mr. Weasley [in a grave voice]: Now Ginny... please, whatever wewe do, whatever happens, don't get yourself into trouble au anything. Don't get into Snape's au the Carrow's way at any cost. If anything should ever happen to you, go to McGonagall au Hagrid, they are the only ones that we can trust now. I know McGonagall is a stren woman, but she is probably just as willing to protect all of wewe as anyone I know over there. Please... just stay out of trouble. he kisses his daughter on the head as tears roll from his eyes. His wife also begins to cry as well.

Miss Weasley: We'll try to write to wewe as soon as we can, and...we will see wewe on the Hoildays she hugs Ginny for a long moment. Suddenly the train blows the whisle to get everyone on board.

Ginny: I have to go. I'll see wewe guys at the Hoildays

She turns from her parents and goes inside the train. When it finally moved, many kids were crying and shouting good-byes while their parents sobbed uncontroably. This was going to be hell, Ginny thought.

*****

About an saa into the journey, Ginny and Nevile were sitting together and discussing about the news of Snape being the new Headmaster. Luna was siting in a different part of the train comforting a bunch of First years.

Nevile: This whole world is mental! how are we supossed to get the D.A. back together now?!

Ginny: I don't know, but we figure it out soon.

Nevile: What exactly is Harry and the others doing again?

Ginny: He has to find...[lowers her voice] these things called Horcruxes. They are a piece of You-Know-Who's soul and they have to be destroyed in order for You-Know-Who to die.

Neville: Really? how did he know?

Ginny: Dumbledore told him. They went to some cave back in June and they found one of them, which was a locket. It turned out to be a fake though. The real one was missing.

Neville: How many are there?

Ginny: Dunno, only Harry knows...

They sat there quietly for a while when suddenly, the train stopped moving. Everyone began to panic and worry. Then, two male Death Eaters entered the room looking around while the other students fell silent. Cormac McLaggen who played for the Griffyndor Quidditch team last mwaka and was in The Slug Club with Ginny and Harry, yelled out "My father will hear about this!" The Death Eaters looked at him and he fell silent.

Neville [standing up]: hujambo losers! he isn't here!

It turned out that they were looking for Harry, whom everyone knew that he was wanted. Without another word, they turned around and disapperated. The train began to songesha again. Everyone began to talk about what just happened.

Neville: Well, at least Harry won't have to deal all this, same with Ron and Hermione.

Two Slytherin students came up to them. One was Blaise Zambini, a black boy whom Ginny was also in the Slug Club with, and Pansy Parkinson, who often hung with Draco Malfoy.

Blaise: Well, if it isn't the Blood Tratior and Longbottom.

Pansy: So Potter's decided to run off and protect himself rather than be with you? what a real gentelman he is!

Ginny: Shut up! it's none of your buisness!

Pansy: At least Draco wouldn't dare do something like that!

Ginny: Please! he's nothing zaidi than a spollied, mother's boy!

Pansy: Don't talk about him wewe filthly trator!
Nevile: Go away, will you?!

Blaise: oh? so you're her new toy now is it? I guess people were right about wewe Weasley, wewe do go from one guy to the other! I guess wewe really are a slut!

Nevile got up, grabbed Blaise and slammed him to the wall. Everyone got up and screamed. The door opened, and there stood Draco Malfoy in his usual black velvet suit. Behind him came his croonies Crabbe and Goyle.

Draco: What the hell is going on?! get off him, Longbottom!

Neville let go of Blaise, and he and Pansy ran to Draco. When Draco spoke, he had a surprisingly quiet voice.

Draco: Don't waste wewe time with them, alright
.
Blaise: What's with you?

Everyone stared at him, they couldn't believe what he was saying.

Draco: Because...just... don't ok? let's go and change, we'll be there shortly.

The 5 Slytherins left the room. Everyone else decided that they might as well change too, they would be at Hogwarts in about 20 minutes. Nobody else spoke for the rest of that time. Finally, they heard the engines stop. When Ginny and Neville got out they saw Luna still talking to the First Years. Ginny suddenly realized that there wasn't as many students as there usually was. She knew that all the muggle-borns were not allowed here, but also some people that she knew who weren't muggle-born did onyesha up at all.

Ginny: hujambo Neville, this isn't all of the school is it? I thought we had a lot zaidi than this.

Neville: Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I heard that some people went into hiding au staying nyumbani with Spattergot.

Ginny: But isn't this mandatory?

Neville: Yeah, but some just couldn't handle it.

Once they entered the Great Hall, Ginny noticed all of the teachers in their usual seats. However, they didn't looked as cheerful as they always were for the Welcome Back Feast. Professor Trealawny, the Divination Teacher, was shaking and whimpering quietly, and although Ginny thought of her as a fraud, she felt bad for her. inayofuata to her was Hagrid, the Giant gamekeeper and Care of Magical Creatures professor. He looked like he wanted to grab someone and throw them out the window. Ginny also noticed Professors Sprout, Flitwick, and Slughorn talking quietly so they wouldn't be overheard. Once the students sat down, the huge doors opened and Professor McGonagall was leading all of the new students. They looked as though they were going to a death sentence. McGonagall, out of everyone in the Great Hall, looked zaidi fearful than anything. She grabed the Sorting Hat [who also seemed scared] and began the sorting. When the last student sat with their new House, the huge doors opened, and there was the new Headmaster himself, wearing his usual black robes and slimy, greasy black hair. Behind him were two people Ginny never saw before. One was a male who was squat and lumpy and had black hair. The sekunde was a female who was small and stocky and also had black hair. Ginny realized then that they were the Carrows, the new teachers. When Snape approched the stand that was once Dumbledores and the Carrows on opposite sides of him, he began to speak.

Snape: Before we began your stupid little feast, I would like to say a few words to all of you. As wewe all know, the Dark Lord was clear that Hogwarts needed to change now that old fool Dumbledore is gone. As wewe will notice, the muggle-borns will no longer attend this castle, for they are all being rounded up as we speak. As your new Headmaster, I will not tolorate any rebellion nor backlash from any of you. On the Dark Lord's orders, we are joined this mwaka kwa two new teachers. Professor Alecto Carrow, who will be teaching Muggle Studies, and her brother Amycus Carrow will teach the Dark Arts, and not only will they be teaching, they are in charge of all disclpine as well. So if any of wewe simply decide to put a toe out of line, wewe will be truly sorry, for these two will not onyesha any mercy whatsoever.

"Where is Professor Burbage?!" a girl's voice shouted. Everyone gasped. It was the voice of Lavander Brown, Ron's dim-witted ex-girlfriend. Ginny wanted to slap her in the face and tell her to shut up when suddenly, Alecto Carrow raised her wand and and Lavender was knocked off her seat. She noticed a deep, bloody cut on her left cheek. Student's were screaming, teachers gasped and all of the Slytherins roared with laughter.

Snape [angry]: SLIENCE!! MISS BROWN wewe FOOLISH GIRL, 25 POINTS FROM GRIFFYNDOR FOR YOUR IGNORANCE!

Lavender began to cry. Madam Pomfry, who was in charge of the Hospital Wing, ran to her and escorted her out of the Great Hall.

Snape: Let this be a warning to all of wewe who dare interfere with me au any adult without permission! To answer Miss Brown's question, Professor Burbage, I'm afraid, is no longer with us anymore. The Dark Lord felt that she was giving improper lessons about muggle-borns, so he simply decided to... deal with her on his own.
Everyone was silent. They all knew perfectly well what he meant. Ginny herself wanted to scream and yell at Snape, but had to control herself au she would suffer the same cruel punishment as Lavander.

Snape: As I was saying before I was interupted, The Carrows will be in charge of all discipline, so consider yourselves warned. wewe are also to be in Common rooms everynight at 6:00, and all klabu and activities, including Quidditch, are cancelled for the remiander of the year. Finally, on You-Know-Who's orders, if any of wewe witness Harry Potter inaonyesha up here, bring him to the Carrows, so they can take him to the Dark Lord. The same goes to his mudblood friend Granger, who is also being tracked. That is all...for now.

When the feast was over, Ginny and Neville caught up with Luna on their way to the common rooms.
Luna: Poor Lavander, I hope she's okay.

Ginny: I know, but she's such an idiot! she knew not to mess with Snape! But I can't believe that Quidditch is cancelled! I've been looking mbele to be captain again!

Neville: I don't care what they say, I'm not going to let the Carrows get away with it torturing people! it's not right! and I will not let them have Harry!

Ginny had forgot about that last piece of information.

Ginny: Oh... yeah.

Luna: What's wrong?

Ginny [holding back tears]: Nothing

Luna: Oh. Well it's just that everytime Harry is being mentioned wewe get very quitet all of a sudden.

Neville: Aren't wewe two still together?

Ginny [ignores him]: Look, I know wewe guys care, and I appreciate it. But honestly I really don't want to talk about it right now. Let's just go to kitanda and later on we can figure out how to get the D.A. back. alright?

When Ginny and Neville arrived in the Griffyndor common room, everyone was staring at them, au mostly, at her. She tried to ignore him as she was walking torward the stairs to the girl's dormitory when Cormac McLaggen and Parvati Patil came up to her

Cormac: This is all your boyfriend's fault! If it weren't for him we wouldn't be dealing with all this!

Parvati: And Lavander wouldn't have been in the Hospital Wing!

Ginny: Why are guys yelling at me for it? and honestly it was her fault that she opened her big mouth!

Parvati [upset]: Oh, so wewe think she deserved it then?!

Ginny: No! i don't! just leave me alone! everybody!

She pushed both of them out of her way. She couldn't believe the way people were treating her today. First the Slytherins and now her own house. She hated the fact that they were all blaming Harry for what was happening to not only their school, but their entire world as well. They were so ignorant about everything, but, she didn't blame them at the same time. They had no idea what Horcruxes were, they never knew what it was like to be on the run from Voldemort au even encounter him. Once she entered the Girl's Dorm her stuff was sitting right kwa her bed. She immediately took off her robes, put on her night kanzu, gown and hopped into bed.
