15 Simple But True Reasons That Harry Potter is Better Than Twilight

The Harry Potter movie era is over, but the adventures of the amazing characters still live in our hearts. Still, several times people are kind of wacko and say that Twilight is better than Harry Potter. I'm going to give wewe a orodha of reasons why this is not true, and prove once and for all, that Harry Potter really is the ultimate book/movie series.

1)J.K. Rowling doesnt change mythology- Wanyonya damu are Wanyonya damu and if they go in the sun, they die. On the other hand, Stephenie Meyer ruins mythology and lets her vampire character SPARKLE and not DIE in the sunlight
2) Harry Potter actually has suspense. In Twilight, wewe just know the Edward is gonna come back for Bella.
3) In Harry Potter, wewe get to see the characters start to have romantic feelings for each other. Whereas in Twilight, Edward and Bella fell in upendo in a pathetically short amount of time.
4) JKR was able to explain a very complicated story using only a few big words. Stephenie Meyer, however, has so many big words in her books, it seems as if she pulled out a thesaurus for every other word.
5) In Twilight, the sekunde Edward leaves Bella, she becomes an emo freak. Harry, though, left Ginny, and SHE didn't become suicidal.
6) In Harry Potter, wewe can relate to what the characters are feeling, such as Hermione being jealous of Lavender because she was dating Ron, au Neville being bullied because he wasnt too good in class. But how can anyone relate to a girl thats trying to sort out her feeling between a vampire & werewolf?!
7) In Twilight, upendo = watching a girl sleep all night. But in Harry Potter there is actual love, like Voldemort unable to kill Harry because of his mom.
8) Twilight mashabiki are just teenage girls that like Twilight just because they think Robert Pattinson/ Taylor Lautner are cute. Harry Potter fans, however, are people of all ages, all genders, and they like Harry Potter for the concept, not for the actors.
9) JKR isnt afraid to lose major characters, like Dumbledore, Sirius, Dobby, etc. In Twilight, NONE of the characters died.
10) The bad guys in HP actually enjoy killing people. Thats ACTUAL EVIL. All the Volturi does is sit around & wait for news & when they get news they send guards
11) Bella completely goes emo when Edward leaves her. Harry got mocked, and saw several people close to him get killed before his very eyes, and he doesnt act emo.
12) The Harry Potter cast can ACTUALLY ACT!!!!
13) The supporting characters in Twilight are stupid. Whereas in HP Neville starts out as a boy who never knew what was going on but then becomes an important part of the soryline.
14) Again-SUSPENSE. JKR gets wewe to try to guess what comes next. S. Meyer majibu the swali in the inayofuata sentence.
15) Meyer spends pages describing how 'hot' Edward was. JKR focus on the person herself/himself. Not just their appearance.

And there wewe have it. Now, I can think of only one way to wrap, upangaji pamoja this up. kwa saying, "HARRY POTTER IS BETTER THAN TWILIGHT! POTTER TILL DEATH!"

bri-marie 1) No. Wizards don't go to boarding school. And tons of vampires (Dracula included), can go into the sunlight. Meyer wasn't the first or last author to allow vampires into the sunlight. And she certainly wasn't the first or last author to change mythology around to make an interesting story. 2) Suspense is subjective, and changes from genre to genre. Twilight wasn't an action story, so it makes no sense at all for it to have the same type of suspense as Harry Potter, an action story. 3) We didn't get to see Severus fall for LIly. We didn't get to see Harry fall for Ginny. We didn't get to see Tonks fall for Lupin. The only couple in the whole series that we got to see actually develop romantically was Hermione and Ron. With the others, we were just told "they love/like so-and-so". Some of us accepted JK's word as law, some of us (like myself) did not. 4) Meyer actually really doesn't have that many "big words." 5) Everyone handles grief differently. Also, it's very, very rude, inconsiderate, and possibly even triggering to those suffering from depression to you calling Bella an "emo freak." Bella isn't Ginny. She's going to react to different circumstances differently. 6) Opinion. Not fact. I couldn't relate to Harry, Hermione, or Neville at all. And I may not be able to understand what's it's like to chose between a vampire and a werewolf, but I can relate to what it's like to have a person you consider a friend have feelings for you that you can't reciprocate. 7) There is this love in Twilight as well. Ironically, the same kind of love you used as an example for HP. Bella and Edward are willing to risk their lives to keep their daughter safe. Bella is willing to risk her life for Edward. The rest of the Cullens (on multiple occasions) risk their lives for Bella. 8) Many Twilight fans became fans before the movie came out. Or became fans without seeing the movie at all. 9) Again, different genres. Not all good books kill major characters. 10) Except for that time the Volturi slaughtered a bunch of people in Italy. 11) Do you not understand how depression actually works? 12) Again, opinion. KStew, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, Jackson Rathboone, and Nikki Reed rank far above some of the HP cast as actors. 13) Again, opinion. Not fact. Charlie, Jessica, and Alice are some of the more popular characters, and they're all supporting characters. 14) Again, different genres. 15) While this is true, this is, over-all, an opinion as to whether or not this is a mark against Twilight (and a mark for Harry Potter).

nessie-eska I like both series, but I don't think most of reasons are valid. It's too much subjective. And I agree with @bri-marie.

We saw Harry fall for Ginny, in the sixth book, as Harry gets jealous of her relationship for Dean. We say Tonks fall for Lupin, also in the sixth book, because she was always upset about Lupin not liking her, her Patronus changed into a werewolf, etc, etc. it is a totally lie that the only couple we got 2 c fall 4 each other were Ron & Hermione. #6: You said- "I couldn't relate to Harry, Hermione, or Neville at all."
