Before long Cuddy had fallen asleep on the couch, with House holding her. House smirked and thought, how cliché? But he didn’t mind it. He wanted to be the one holding her anyway. He loved her after all. He moved slowly off the couch, trying not to wake her, so she could sleep properly and put a blanket over her. He just stood there for a while admiring his sleeping beauty, before going into his room.
The inayofuata morning, Cuddy awoke at the smell of coffee, and saw House bringing a cup of coffee to her a few sekunde later.
‘You. Made coffee?’ she alisema clearly shocked.
‘Don’t act so surprised! OK, fine, wewe won’t get this treatment everyday’
Cuddy smiled at him, grateful for his humourous honesty.
‘Are wewe going to turn up at the work today?’ Cuddy asked raising her eyebrow.
‘Depends. What are wewe wearing?’
Cuddy scoffed.
An saa later they both arrived at the hospital, at the same time, causing many suspicious looks. Again, Wilson was there and he was just about to approach Cuddy before he remembered what happened the siku before and sheepishly backed away. Cuddy smiled at him to reassure him that it was fine to approach this time. So he did, rather nervously.
‘Hi. Cuddy. Um, h-h-how are you?’
‘Seriously Jimmy, anyone would think you’re in upendo with her the way you’re all st-st-st-stuttering!’ House couldn’t help but laugh, and his laughter became louder when he saw how red Wilson had become.
‘James, I’m sorry I snapped at wewe yesterday. wewe know I didn’t mean it, I was just in a bad mood. But I’m OK now.’ She smiled, hoping the slight change of subject would save him from the torment of House.
She promptly walked into her office, knowingly leaving the two men to stare at her as she walked away.
‘Did wewe two...?’ Wilson asked sensing that something was going on.
‘Yes.’
‘Seriously?’
‘No.’
‘Come on, what’s going on? There is definitely something going on between wewe two.’
‘Hey, I’m supposed to pester you about your sex life, not the other way round! Stick to your guns Jimmy!’ House smirked and walked away before Wilson could say anything.
