Hey! Thank wewe so much for your reviews!
For this chapter; a little Hugh and Lisa cutiness, but also a new woman entering the picture...
‘Hey Liz!’, Hugh called Lisa as Stephen had just left. ‘Hey, so… you’re ready to go shopping yet?’ ‘Yeah, Stephen just left so…’ ‘Okay, wewe guys have fun?’ Hugh laughed, ‘Yeah, he kept grilling me about my upendo life though which I thought wasn’t that funny, anyway… I was thinking that maybe it would be handy if wewe picked me up with the red car?’ ‘Yeah, sure… I’ll be there in 10 then.’ ‘ ‘kay, see wewe in 10…’
Hugh was waiting in the living room thinking about Lisa, the whole dating-thing and everything Stephen had just said. He was really getting tired of people telling him he should go out zaidi often to find women he liked. What people seemed to forget au maybe just didn’t understand was that his upendo life didn’t develop like an ordinary Hollywood-star’s one as he was still very British. He didn’t like to rush into things and sleep with every single hot woman he met hoping that one time it would actually be the right woman. He liked to take things slow, to really get to know a woman, to have that connection before he embarrassed himself kwa his clumsy British bedside manner. But now he was forced to find all that within 20 days and in LA of all places…
‘Hey…’, Hugh awoke from his thoughts as Lisa suddenly stood in front of him. ‘He-ey…’, he looked up at her. ‘Are wewe okay?’, she was a little concerned. ‘Yeah, I was just thinking about some things…’ Lisa looked at him questioningly. ‘Nothing really important, just some things Stephen said…’ ‘Hmmm…’, she sat down inayofuata to him and put her hand on his leg stroking it to comfort him a little. He turned to her and impulsively pulled her into a hug, which surprised her but she didn’t fight it. He buried his head in her hair a little and smelled her shampoo, perfume and natural scent all combined. After a while he let go of her and blushed as he tried to avoid looking her straight into the eyes. ‘What was that for?’, she asked softly. ‘You smell good…’, he alisema not answering her swali and thereby answering it. ‘So wewe ready to duka then?’, he asked giving her a small smile. ‘Always.’
They got into Hugh’s car as Lisa told him about all the stores she wanted to stop by. ‘I was thinking that for the House krisimasi Party I could wear a nice little dress, nothing to short, but not too long either, because if it’s anything like last years I really need to be able to songesha in it… And then of course I am going to need a dress for the formal fox, mbweha Party and all the accessories like shoes, mfuko wa fedha, mfuko and everything…’ ‘O dear god... why did I promise to go with wewe again?’, Hugh asked pretending to dislike this shopping trip, luckily Lisa knew better. ‘Because wewe upendo to make me try on very small dresses in which wewe can look at my legs, punda and breasts all at the same time.’, she smirked as she saw Hugh blush. ‘I do not…’, he alisema at which his face only reddened further. Lisa laughed, ‘It’s okay Hugh, as payback I always make wewe try on pants that onyesha your butt off very nicely…’ Hugh immediately turned his head in her direction as his eyes widened, ‘You-you do…?’ ‘Yeah… what can I say? You’ve got very nice glutes.’, she winked playfully.
Only after his face had returned to its normal color Hugh dared to speak again, ‘So ehm… where do wewe want to go first?’ ‘My agent made some appointments at a few shops on Rodeo Drive, but the first one is at 3 so we could go to the place wewe buy your clothes first…’ ‘Sounds good to me… How many appointments are we talking about kwa the way?’, Hugh looked over at Lisa and smirked. Lisa answered him kwa playfully hitting him in the arm. ‘Careful, I’m driving here!’, Hugh pretended to be hurt kwa Lisa’s soft smack. ‘Hmm, you’ll live…’ ‘Is that a reaction to what I just alisema au to the amount of stores your dragging me to?’ Lisa smiled, ‘Both.’ ‘They better have really short dresses then…’, Hugh replied earning yet another smack in the arm from Lisa. ‘Aww! Will wewe stop hitting me please?’ ‘If you’ll stop hitting on me…’
Hugh parked the car nearly in front of the entrance of his inayopendelewa store. The story had everything, from extremely expensive suits to baggy jeans and from casual t-shirts to exclusive dress-shirts. As Hugh knew what he wanted to buy, he immediately stormed off to the suits-section leaving Lisa a little behind as she was looking at t-shirts with funny prints on them. On the way to the suit-section he suddenly bumped into a woman, ‘O, I’m terribly sorry… I didn’t see wewe there, are wewe okay?’ The woman fixed her dress and smiled up at him, ‘Don’t worry, it’s okay… I’m Susan kwa the way.’ Hugh gave her a polite smile back, ‘I-ehh I’m Hugh…’ Susan was a good looking woman, who appeared to be in her late thirties to early forties, she had light-brown hair and brown eyes and was tall and slim. But even though she could have been a model, Hugh didn’t feel an immediate attraction to her. ‘So… you’re just shopping here all kwa yourself?’, Susan asked starting to flirt a little. ‘Ehm… no, no.. I’m her with her…’, he alisema looking over at Lisa and smiling immediately. Susan followed his eyes, ‘O, well.. ehm.. it was nice to meet wewe then.’ ‘Yeah, wewe too…’, Hugh alisema and walked away to the suit section as he saw that Lisa was already walking over there.
Lisa smiled as Hugh walked to her, ‘Who was that?’, she asked curiously. ‘Apparently her name is Susan…’ ‘She looks nice.’ ‘Ehh… if wewe say so…’ ‘Wasn’t she nice?’ ‘Well, yeah… but… where are wewe going with this?’, Hugh looked at Lisa knowingly. ‘I’m not going to ask her out…’ Lisa sighed, ‘O come on, why not?’ ‘Because!’ ‘That’s no reason…, but seriously Hugh… why don’t wewe ask her out? If you’re not going to find a tarehe yourself Robert will just set wewe up again…’, Lisa alisema knowing she had to push Hugh a little because if she didn’t he would never find someone. And even though her own feelings for Hugh had recently changed au developed, she knew that he only saw her as a friend and their friendship was way too valuable to put on the line. So she did the only thing she could do, support him so he could find his happiness.
‘I know that, but…well…’, he didn’t know what to say. Of course this Susan looked like a nice person, but somehow he didn’t want to ask her out. He wanted… god, he didn’t know what he wanted anymore… His original plan had been to just enjoy this afternoon with Lisa and maybe even see if there was a possibility that someday they could be zaidi than friends, but now… Lisa was supporting him to tarehe some other woman, if that wasn’t a clear enough message for him that she didn’t want him then what was? ‘I-I don’t have her number au anything and…’ ‘So? Go ask it! She’s right over there!’, Lisa pointed. ‘Ehm… yeah I-I guess I could do that…’, Hugh answered and walked back over to Susan.
Lisa didn’t mean to be that supportive of Hugh dating another woman, but she figured the sooner Hugh would go on a tarehe with someone else the sooner she got her feelings back under control and songesha on.
‘Ehm… Susan?’, Hugh asked standing inayofuata to her. ‘O, hi Hugh…’, she looked at him questioningly. ‘I-I still feel a little bad for bumping into wewe like that… and I was wondering… if I could maybe somehow make it up to wewe kwa buying wewe dinner?’ ‘Dinner?’, Susan asked and went back in flirt mode again, ‘But… ehm.. is your girlfriend okay with that?’, Susan nodded in Lisa’s direction. ‘Liz? She isn’t my girlfriend, she’s just… Liz.’ ‘Hmmm well okay then... so at what time should I be where?’ ‘To-tonight?’, Hugh asked a little taken aback. ‘Yeah, au did wewe want…’ ‘No, tonight is fine… let’s say around 8... I can come and pick wewe up if you’d like that…’ ‘Yeah sure, should I wear anything specific?’, Susan asked as she was searching for her little business cards. ‘Just nothing too casual... I guess…’ ‘Okay, well here wewe go this has my number and address on it. I’ll see wewe at 8.’ ‘Yeah… see wewe at 8.’, Hugh alisema and walked back over to Lisa.
‘How did it go?’, Lisa was very curious. ‘I guess I have a tarehe tonight…’ ‘O my god, really?’, Lisa forced a smile. ‘Yeah… I’m going to pick her up at 8…’, Hugh alisema still a little taken aback kwa everything going so fast. ‘Well good for you. I hope this one goes better than the last one.’ ‘Yeah me too…’, Hugh replied, ‘anyway… let’s get this shopping thing going we still have to buy your whole orodha of clothes.’ Lisa smiled, not a fake smile this time, ‘Yeah we certainly do!’
‘Hey Robert, it’s Stephen here.’ ‘O hey, wewe got any messages from Susan yet?’ ‘Yes, she just called me. She has a tarehe with Hugh tonight at 8. She alisema she got it scheduled relatively easy and that both our birds have no idea that this is another set-up.’ ‘Well that’s good… for our plan to succeed we really need them to not find out anything about it.’ ‘I know… let’s just see how Hugh feels after his tarehe tonight.’ ‘Yeah… kwa the way you’re sure Susan is gay right, so she can’t ruin our plan?’ ‘100%, when I had her on the phone she kept talking about how hot Lisa was and that it was a pity she couldn’t ask her out...’
