ItalianHuddy In the beginning it never even occurred to me that the show would be named after one of its characters. And when I found out I objected to it. But bosses didn't have none. The fact of focusing mainly on one single character I found it unfair. Salad is good but salad with no sauce is bland! It is the same with the show. House needs seasoning to taste. I'm going to share something with you. First time I read the script I thought Gregory House would have been a minor character. To my eyes the leading character was Wilson! At least that's what the draft of the script seemed to suggest. Later on the writers revised it and well you know the rest! Q. : Season 4 is very much interesting with regard to the storyline. Especially when Dr Cuddy treats our Greg to a memorable strip-tease. How did you manage to remain so zen, so impassive while shooting it? A. : But who told you I did? Q. : You must as well know this pole-dancing bit set off a tremendous buzz all over the net... A. : And I still can't figure out why! Maybe you can give me some clue? (I think it's a joke...) Ok I'll give you that this scene had the net clicking all over... However I don't want you to think of it as an out-of-the-blue-uncalled-for scene. Besides the most obvious sexual arc we go about House's psychological pathologies, as it were. House is completely out of his mind as a result of a bus accident. The strip turns out to be 'revealing'. It is a sort of ploy that allows us to get into the mind of this sullen doctor. And I really want to compliment Lisa who managed to wiggle her hips before me and not to laugh! Well almost... Q. : It seems the doormat is something at your place... A. : It's a gift from Ellen DeGeneres. She gave me this mat which says 'House's House'. Q. : You've now been living in California for 5 years apart from your family that stayed in England. Apart from them what is it that you miss the most? A. : The rain and the stone buildings. In LA they're all built of wood because of the earthquakes. Whenever you slam the door you run the risk of seeing the walls tumble down like some tacky piece of décor! Q. : We should say laughing is the best medecine? A. : It's a very good one! And the cheapest one! Q. : Are they going to prescribe House in the next 5 years? A. : Do you know how to make the good Lord laugh? By talking to him about your future plans! (I don't quite get the sense of it though...) A living paradox (the yellow box) House fights all the time to save other people's lives but he doesn't give a damn about his own- says Laurie. He's the damned soul of today, so to speak. Ultimately he's like an acrobat tentatively walking his way through life and death. Which is a far cry from what my attitude toward life actually is...Somehow House forces me to explore a side of the human beings that is new to me, namely chronic depression.
