Previously: I thanked him and paid for my order. Leaving the diner, I pondered what he said. Was I too predictable? Did I know how to have fun, let loose? I shook my head to myself. No, I didn’t. I liked things a certain way and if they worked, why change them? I had changed enough, going through a traumatic event a little over three years zamani now. I wasn’t ready for anything too different from my routine. Not yet.

A cobblestone mitaani, mtaa with buildings on either side and a large town hall standing guard at the end, Main mitaani, mtaa was the moyo of maple Grove. As I made my way back up the street,...

Previously: “Chester and I both thank wewe for our cool treats. I’d like to say I hope you’ll visit me, but that would mean you’d be sick and well, I’d be a bad doctor to wish that on anyone.” He laughed and I think I felt my knees weaken a bit as I grasped the counter for support. I was barely able to lift a hand to wave goodbye. Out the front window, I saw Stacy walk up just as he was leaving. Her gaze lingered a little too long on his retreating back. Not that I noticed her noticing him.

“Wow wow wow! Who in the world is that hottie?,” she put her mfuko wa fedha, mfuko in a cupboard under...

“I finally know what I want! Yes, I think I’ll have one scoop of the karanga Brittle and one scoop of the Decadent Hot Chocolate. I’ll have a cup, please.”

I sighed in relief. The customer standing before me on the other side of the ice cream counter had been deciding what she wanted for the last five dakika and the line behind her was growing considerably. I felt like I was starting to get frost bite from standing over the open baridi for too long awaiting her choice. I heaped generous scoops of her chosen flavors into a purple striped cup stamped with the store’s Decadence logo and...

My entire life, it never occurred to me that I have a learning disability. Honestly, I just thought I was really really really really incredibly bad at math. Like REALLY bad. I went through decades of my life struggling with what other people could do in their sleep. I was in THE most basic math class during my high school years. I remember our really cool teacher would give us worksheets to work on and they were addition and subtraction problems. It was a big relief from having to possibly have to take algebra au whatever else kind of mathematical nonsense.

I can't do multiplication off the...

This *blog* has been a long time coming, since the beginning of last month, but a lot has been going on and I have NOT had the energy to write. I don't know why, but for some reason this always takes a lot out of me. But...here goes. I'll try to keep it short in words, since this is pretty picture heavy. I don't like to have things too tl;dr.

November 4th
My boyfriend and I adopted a new cat from the Humane Society (it's where we get all our pets, except Calleigh who I got in another state). He's always wanted a "void", basically a black cat that blends in so all wewe see are its eyes. There was...

My days usually are not remotely fun, interesting au exciting. I stay nyumbani 24/7 now which I upendo but I kinda do the same stuff every day. The night before (October 30) I had prepared the dough I was going to make for my cookies🍪 because it has to be refrigerated overnight. The first thing I did when I woke up, which I did at 10 AM which was totally unusual for me but I guess I was excited about the day.

I started off making the actual cookies, and this is such an EASY recipe for cooking...

So, since I am self quarantining and am not going to work until April 2nd, I thought it would be fun to write an makala of stuff I am doing au would recommend others to do during this time. Obvious statement is obvious, but...no matter what wewe do don't risk your health for any of this! It's just for fun. So let's get started then!

1. I wash my hair at least six days a week. Greasy hair is one of my biggest pet peeves.
2. Speaking of pet peeves, people are my biggest one.
3. My inayopendelewa colors are brown, purple and gray.
4. My dream climate is thunderstorms. Daily. I even get seasonal depression, but instead of hating the winter/needing sun, I need to hear thunder.
5. For the most part, I name my furry pets after inayopendelewa characters. My goldfish are always Rome-themed.
My dog is named Horatio while my tortie cat is named Calleigh
