Just wanted to share my Halloween siku with wewe all because I thought it was pretty fun! Hope wewe enjoy!
My days usually are not remotely fun, interesting au exciting. I stay nyumbani 24/7 now which I upendo but I kinda do the same stuff every day. The night before (October 30) I had prepared the dough I was going to make for my cookiesπͺ because it has to be refrigerated overnight. The first thing I did when I woke up, which I did at 10 AM which was totally unusual for me but I guess I was excited about the day.
I started off making the actual cookies, and this is such an EASY recipe for cooking with so few ingredients but baking them is a game of luck. Luckily for me, the kuki, vidakuzi I made were perfect because I've been doing these for basically my entire life. Fun fact: This is actually a Christmas recipe! π But I was originally going to make them for my boyfriend to take for his co-workers, though unfortunately "Covid" closed them down again so he had to work from home. So these kuki, vidakuzi were for us!
I only had 2 Halloween cookie cutters which is just enough for me because I don't actually ~decorate~ the kuki, vidakuzi properly (as wewe will see later on below) and a lot of the other Halloween shapes would be indistinguishable with icing. Maybe I should work on my decorating skills for inayofuata year...π€
^ These are the kuki, vidakuzi fresh out of baking and with (also homemade) icing.
^ And these are how I "decorate". I'm the only one of us here who likes sprinkles so I put them on this batch not only for me but for picha purposes. Don't worry, my boyfriend got his own non-sprinkled cookies! β¨
Then it was time for a nap. For 1...2...3...and a half hours. What can I say? I upendo to sleep! After I woke up, we had chajio, chakula cha jioni which at this point I don't even remember what it was...π€·ββοΈ Obviously it wasn't that delicious au I would have taken a picture of it. We had already picked out 2 sinema to watch before I went to sleep so we started with my recommendation Trick 'R Treat...
and no matter how many times I see this movie, it always remains a classic and I notice new details in every viewing. It's a Halloween staple for me, I always watch it every mwaka at least once. Then to close the night, we watched Halloween 2 (1981).
I know, I know it should have been the original Halloween but this is the sekunde best movie in the franchise and my boyfriend, never being a movie shabiki before meeting me, had already seen it and didn't want to watch again. Soooo since he hadn't seen this yet, we watched it.
PS: We didn't have a single trick-or-treater despite having Halloween lights and decor outside our front door.
What did wewe do for Halloween? Did wewe have a costume? If not, what WOULD wewe have dressed up as?
