Chapter 1
I picked up the phone and called Sam. Sam has been my best friend since third grade. He has dirty blond hair and brown eyes. He also lives right up my street. "Hello?" he answered.
"Hey it's me, Kerry. Has the new kids moved in yet?"
"I have seen the moving van a couple of times but no sign of our new neighbors."
"I really hope one of them is a girl. No offense but I really want somebody I can talk to about girly stuff, that's not my mom."
"None taken. I don't want to know about your girl troubles anyways. Wait I see a car pulling into the drive way."
"You do? Do wewe see any girls au is there any kids at all?"
"Uhh… Kerry wewe are not going to like this."
"What?"
"There's four boys."
"Your kidding me. There can't be. That's not possible. How old our they?"
"One of them looks a little bit older than us. Another one looks a little bit younger. One of them looks like Parker's age. And one of them looks a little bit younger than Parker."
"Is the oldest one hot?"
"Umm… I am not answering that question. wewe have to come see for yourself."
"If I can get out the house."
"Oh, come on. Just tell your dad your walking your dog."
"I've already tried that. He alisema I have to stay in the yard."
"Well that really does suck. hujambo do wewe want me to become Marafiki with the older guy?"
"Sure. Then tonight we will meet at the usual."
"The usual. What time?"
"How about 1:15."
"Ok, I will tell wewe all about him."
"Alright. Bye and remember."
"I will, bye"
Chapter 2
Once it hit 1:13, I was out the door. I knew my parents were asleep cause I could hear them snoring from up stairs. I opened the door quietly and ran to the big bolder, aka the usual. I saw a figure sitting on it so I alisema "Psst… Sam? Is that you?"
The figure turned around and alisema "Umm... This is Dillon not Sam."
The figure who called himself Dillon stood up and walk towards me. As soon as I saw his face in the moon light I knew it wasn't Sam.
He had a tall muscular body. He had dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. I alisema "Oh, so wewe are the new kid."
"You could say that. So, what's your name?"
"Kerry."
"That's cool. How old are you?"
"You like asking questions, don't you?"
"Just answer."
"14. How about you?"
"16"
"Well that's cool."
"Yea. So why are wewe out so late?"
"I needed to talk to my friend."
"Oh, wewe mean that kid Sam."
"Yea. Did wewe meet him?"
"No, I heard wewe say his name."
"Oh, yea. Duh. I am a blonde sometimes."
"I am pretty sure wewe brunette."
"You know what I mean."
"Yea. So why didn't wewe just come outside during the day?"
"Let's just say, my dad is so overprotective he won't even let me come out the yard. I am lucky if I even get to go outside."
"Well, that sucks."
"Ya, well I go to go before my mom and dad wake up au something and notice I am gone."
I wasn't really worried about my mom and dad but I could already tell that there was going to be an awkward silence soon. he alisema "Bye" as I walked off.
Once I was about halfway home, Sam jumped out a mti and scared the crap out of me. "Sam!" I whispered. "What are wewe doing!!!"
"You talked to him."
"Yes, I did."
"And wewe were flirting."
"No I wasn't! I was having a decent conversation."
"Oh ya and this isn't flirting." He acts like he was twirling his hair and mocks me kwa saying "You like asking questions, don't you?" in a girly voice.
"I don't sound like that!"
"To me wewe do."
"To normal people I don't."
"Oh, well. I think wewe like him."
"I don't."
"I bet wewe twenty bucks wewe will end up going out with him kwa the end of this summer."
"Your on."
At that moment, I was determined not to fall for dillon.
Chapter 3
I woke up and went down stairs to check on my parents. When I got down there I saw Parker standing right in front of my parents bed. I asked "Parker, what are wewe doing?"
"Where did wewe go last night?"
"Nowhere. Why do wewe ask?"
"You went somewhere. I know cause I saw wewe go out the door last night?"
"If wewe panya on me, I swear I will slap wewe upside the head so hard?"
"Haha… and I will just get wewe in zaidi trouble."
"Ok. So what do wewe want?"
"You have to do whatever I want and whenever I want?"
"I am not being your servant."
"I guess wewe want dad and mom to know about your little adventure last night, don't you?"
"Ok, I will do it. But wewe can never panya on me again."
"No promises."
"Parker."
"Ok, whatever. I won't panya on you. Now carry me to my room now, wench."
"Call me that again and see what happens." I alisema as I picked him up.
About twenty dakika later, my dad came up and made breakfast. He always makes breakfast on the weekends. He asked me "Did wewe do your chores yesterday?"
"Yes, sir."
"Well, today wewe have to sweep the pool deck, vacuum the pool, and clean your room."
"Yes, sir."
"And maybe, just maybe, Dakota can come over."
Most people would think that it is good to have a friend over. Most of the time it is. But when it comes to Dakota it is a bad thing. Well first of all, she is not my friend. She's my cousin. Second, she is so annoying. I cannot stand it sometimes. Third, she talks 24/7. Once she talked me to sleep, literally. Fourth, she is such a flirt. I bet if she saw Dillon, she would be all up on him.
For some reason, my father thinks that we are best friends. I mean I try to stay away from her at family gatherings. Once, I alisema I was sick and I started to cough all over her. That plan backfired cause she told my grandma I was sick and they insisted that I lay down the rest of the night. So, she ended up talking to me anyways.
I got up the courage to ask my dad "Dad, could I have Sam over? I mean not to spend the night au anything. Just him come over."
"Kerry, wewe know how I am with the boy thing. Your to old to be playing with boys. Anyways, I know exactly what fourteen mwaka old boys think about."
"Dad, he doesn't want to get in my pants. We are just Marafiki nothing more."
"Kerry, I alisema no. And that's final." he alisema as he gave me sausage gravy.
"Yes, sir."
Chapter 4
Right after I got done cleaning my room, my mom called me down stairs. Once I got down there my mom alisema "Kerry, your dad has to tell wewe something."
He was sitting at his computer dawati looking at me. "What do wewe have to tell me dad?"
"I have to leave the house for a little while."
I looked at them, then the thought came to me. "Are wewe two getting separated?"
"Oh no," alisema dad. "I just have to go on a business trip to china. I will not be back to the end of august."
"So wewe won't even be able to come and visit us."
"Nope, I still will call wewe and your mom everyday just to check up on everything."
"Why didn't wewe just tell me tell me this morning?"
"Because I just found out. Kerry, I need for wewe and your brother to on your best behavior this summer."
"When are wewe leaving?"
"At 1:30."
"That's in ten minutes!"
"Yes, I know. I must get going." He kisses my mother goodbye. And then says to me "Bye, Kerry."
"Bye, dad. Are wewe going to say bye to Parker?"
"I already have. Bye." then he walks out the door.
I ran up stairs and called Sam. "You will never believe what just happened?"
"Do wewe believe in texting? It's a lot easier wewe know."
"I am not allowed to text. It cost extra. But anyways, guess what?"
"What?"
"My dad is going to china for the whole summer."
"Umm… why?"
"Business trip."
"That's cool."
"Do wewe know what this means?"
"No."
"I actually get to see wewe during the day."
"Well, that's cool."
"Aren't wewe excited?!"
"No, not really."
"What? Why?"
"Just cause... Never mind. Forget I even alisema that."
"Ok? So what are wewe doing right now?"
"Just hanging around."
"Mind if I came up there and hanged around with you?"
"Not at all."
"Awesome. I will be up there in a minute."
And with that I hung up on him, told my mom I was going outside, and ran towards his house.
Chapter 5
On my way to Sam's house I ran into Dillon. "Oh, Hey" I said
He had jean shorts and a blue shati on (the blue shati really brought out his eyes). "Hey," he said. "I thought wewe couldn't come outside during the day."
"Well, lucky for me, my dad went on a business trip to china for the whole summer. He won't be back here until the end of August."
"I was just about to ride my bike. Would wewe like to ride with me?"
"I would if I could, but my bike is broken."
"Well, I have an extra bike if wewe want to use it. And the best part, It's blue."
"Thanks. Just tell me where it is and I will go get it."
"Its in my shed, but I will go get it."
"Oh, wewe don't have to do that. I have two legs."
"I insist."
"Well, I will walk with you."
About halfway there, I asked him "So where did wewe live before wewe moved here?"
"In NewYork."
"That's cool."
"Not really." he says as he smiles at me. I know I must be blushing cause he says "Is your cheeks always that pink?"
"I don't really know. I don't pay attention to my cheeks."
"Haha, I don't think anyone really does."
When we got to the shed he opened the door and motioned me in. I laugh and say "Your such a gentlemen."
"I know."
Then he shows me the bike. It's blue like he alisema and really cool. It reminds me of the bikes from like the seventies. It has big black tires and even a little horn. I say "Oh my gosh, this is an awesome bike!"
"Well I did cost two hundred dollars."
"Lord!"
"Yea, I got it for my fourteenth birthday. I only used it once au twice. It's practically new."
"It looks new."
"Surprisingly. It hasn't been ridden since last year."
"Well, I guess I will put an end to it's misery."
"I guess wewe will." he alisema as he laughed.
We rode all day. We ended going to the neighborhood inayofuata to us and just hung out. He alisema it was nice to have someone to hang out with someone that's not one of his brothers. I really enjoyed myself to. Once I got nyumbani and looked at my phone.
I missed four calls from dad and five calls from Sam. My fathers left me a five dakika voicemail saying how I should answer my phone when my father calls and junk, taka like that.
Sam first message says "Call me back."
The sekunde message says "Umm… didn't wewe say your coming over to hang around with me. And if your still getting ready hurry your butt up."

The fourth message says "Never mind those other messages. I just saw wewe outside with that knew kid. When wewe get nyumbani call me if wewe want to. I will be up till about 12:30. Bye
