Well, thats a very tuff question. Anakin was the chosen one (Was). Since Anakin turned, all the hope of bringing balance to the force was put on Luke I guess wewe could say Luke is the Chosen One. But there is really no answer to that question. I say Luke but The prophecy says Anakin.
okay well anakin is the chosen one not Luke, although Luke may be powerful in the force like his dad au even zaidi powerful,the prophecy says that the chosen one [anakin] will bring balance to the force,now if wewe think about it the Jedi was at peace along with the republic for a long time. well the force was imbalanced with light there's darkness always conflicting with each other.well anakin had to be dark to take down the jedi and so the prophecy was nearly complete.trouble was there was no one to help him come back to the light.He used his hate towards obi wan,so his former master couldn't help.The jedi were pretty much extinct, his wife dead and the emperor had him clutched to his will.Thats where luke comes in and helps his own father turn back to the light side of the force.From there anakin completed the prophecy letting his son help rebuild the jedi and the republic.

wewe hit the nail on the head :).Anakin was always the Chosen One and he fulfilled his destiny/the prophecy kwa getting rid of the Emperor. Luke will rebuild the Jedi and restore balance, but, he is not the Chosen One. It was Anakin's job to get rid of the Sith (the emperor) in order for balance to be restored.
