Equestria, have wewe ever wondered about how some things in that world are how they are today? Well now, wewe are about to find out. From having fun, in the park, to fighting crime, au evil terrorists, this is the history of Equestria.

Episode 1: Musicians

Many ponies enjoy music. It provides a way to relieve yourself of any stress, au to enjoy when you're having a simple car ride. Back then, the first ponies that invented music, did so only hundreds of years ago. Many ponies can't agree on who the first musician was, but the majibu can prove to be interesting.

Octavia: I think the first gppony, pony to be a musician was somepony who likes the same type of muziki like me. In fact, everypony should like the same type of muziki that I like. It would make the whole world simple.
Maud: Whoever invented muziki must have used rocks to create it.
Twilight: Man, whoever invented muziki had a lotta swag. Kanye West, I betcha he invented music. I've been listenin to all them songs he creates, along with all them other rappaz.
Applejack: Elvis Presley.

Nopony is entirely sure who first invented music, but it certainly has come a long way. Some of the oldest muziki known to ponies is called, classical music.

link

This song wewe are currently listening to is well known kwa many ponies in Equestria. Some say it goes good for something funny happening in a movie. For hundreds of years, muziki has been like this, and some ponies still make this type of music, for movies, concerts, au just for fun.

link

Then, kwa the 1800's, another form of muziki was created. zaidi ponies wanted to hear muziki with pianos in it, and so many musicians had that arranged.

Vinyl Scratch: Ah, pianos. Not as cool as a bass, besi cannon, but they're still cool to play with. Wait a minute, maybe I can get a kinanda that can play dubstep! That would be awesome!!
Twilight: Man, pianos have been used in a lot of rap. Dat's awesum.
Carrot Top: Wait, what's a piano? Is it something I can put my carrots in? Because I've been having a lot of ponies stealing my carrots.
Pinkie Pie: Pianos? Zhose are wunderbar. My friend Spike played one of zhose vhen ve vere together in Appleloosa, und I had to sing a song about sharing vith others.
Narrator: What's with the accent? Are wewe german?
Pinkie Pie: Ja.

Hundreds of ponies that turned into famous musicians have played the piano. It's been used for many types of music, such as classical music, jazz, rock & roll, and country.

kwa the 1920's, muziki was beginning to change. Although most instruments were still being used from hundreds of years ago, they were being played in a different style.

link

Many things were changing in The United States of Equestria during the 20's. Not only the music, but many inventions were being created, such as the radio, the car, the washing machine, and even advertising was invented.

Life was getting easier, but there were some downsides. The prohibition began, which outlawed alcohol, and many ponies began to formmafias. Crime was getting higher, and innocent ponies were being shot.

Despite all of the ups, and downs, the roaring 20's were going to end in a very bad way.

link

The great depression. When the stock market crashed, nearly everypony in the United States became poor, and could barely afford anything.

But that didn't stop some of the ponies from creating music. Most songs during the early 30's were about the great depression, and some ponies would sing about what was happening.

Octavia: It was a terrible time. Nearly everypony was living out on the streets, with barely enough to keep them going. It was so sad.
Shining Armor: I remember learning about the great depression. It had to be the worst time of The United States ever.
Cadence: Shining, will wewe come clean this floor for me?
Shining Armor: Why don't wewe do it yourself wewe lazy b**ch?
Cadence: Get over here, and clean the floor!!
Fluttershy: I remember hearing all those songs about the great depression. I think I have a few records in my attic.
Vinyl Scratch: I thought the Great Depression sounded cool. Everypony had to live out on the streets, and even a few climbed on some trains, and aliiba things! I wanna do that!!

But things were about to get better. kwa 1933, a gppony, pony kwa the name of Franklin D. Roosevelt became president, and promised to make things better.

link

Roosevelt was as good as his word. zaidi ponies were getting jobs, and getting new houses, and musicians were back to imba about good things.

Octavia: There's a lot of good songs that came out of the 30's. I like listening to them.
Vinyl Scratch: My friend Octavia keeps making me listen to some songs from the 30's. They're alright, but those songs need a bass, besi CANNON!! *Activates bass, besi cannon*

link

Vinyl Scratch: Wait a minute, why is Octavia talking? *Waits a few seconds* Okay, here we go! *Dancing to music*

kwa 1939, many things were changing. The first movie to be filmed in color was during this year, diesel locomotives were being invented for trains, and the World's Fair in Manehattan got a lot of ponies to go see what may occur in the future.

muziki also changed during the 30's, and 40's. New musicians were arriving, and a new type of muziki was formed.

link

With an electric guitar, a piano, and sometimes a drum, Rhythm, and Blues was the new form of muziki created kwa some ponies down in the south. Most of them were African Equestrian, and this type of muziki would soon lead to another new form of music.

link

Sixty years zamani in 1954, Rock & Roll was invented. The first Rock & Roll song created was called Rock Around The Clock, kwa a band called Bill Haley & The Comets. Soon, hundreds of ponies started playing Rock & Roll.

Lyra: The best muziki ever invented. Bill Haley was a genius when he created Rock & Roll.
Bonbon: The 50's were about good times. Getting a fancy car, going to diners to have burgers, and milkshakes, and listening to Rock & Roll. That's what all the teenagers would listen to.

Although Rock & Roll was very maarufu with teenage ponies in the 50's, adults were not too happy with it. They thought it was vulgar, bad, and the worst thing wewe could listen to.

However, there were still some ponies that played Jazz music. Such as Dean Martin, Flank Sinatra, and many more.

Vinyl Scratch: I don't know what their deal was, with those ponies getting angry with their kids for listening to muziki that they enjoyed listening to. It doesn't seem right.
Fluttershy: Oh, I like Rock & Roll. I like every kind of music.
Octavia: The Rock & Roll songs that were created sixty years ago, made many adult ponies angry. They didn't think it was good music, and they sometimes blamed it on their children, if they were getting out of line.

In the early 60's, word soon spread in the U.K about the new form of music, so a few British ponies started making their own Rock & Roll.

link

One of the maarufu British bands was The Beatles. Ponies all over the world heard their songs, and fell in upendo with them.

Twilight: Man, the Beatles have a lotta swag. They must've gotten inspiration from some of dem rappaz to make music, wewe know what I'm sayin?
Pinkie Pie: A band named after a car I have! Wunderbar! I upendo german music!
Interviewer: Pinkie, The Beatles are British.
Pinkie Pie: That's what wewe think, but they won't fool me.

As a result of what was happening, Rock & Roll became the new type of muziki that everypony wanted to listen to.

link

One very famous Rock & Roll player was Jimi Hendrix. He was born in Seattle Washington in 1942, and unfortunately died in 1970. He was right hoofed when it came to playing guitar, but he played a guitar, gitaa for ponies that were left hoofed.

upinde wa mvua Dash: Hendrix is awesome! I listen to his songs all the time.

One day, at 6 AM

Applejack: *Sleeping at Sweet apple Acres*
upinde wa mvua Dash: *At her cloudhouse, not far away from Sweet apple Acres, and wakes up* Time to celebrate living in the United States of Equestria. *Plays song on radio*

link

Applejack: *Wakes up from music* RAINBOW, WILL wewe TURN THAT DISRESPECTFUL junk, taka OFF?!!?
upinde wa mvua Dash: Respect the classics AJ, it's Hendrix!

And now, back to our fanfiction.

Vinyl Scratch: Hendrix, he was awesome. I wish that he was still alive so that I could play wubs right kwa him while he plays his guitar. That would be awesome!
Pinkie Pie: Hendrix is wunderbar! I upendo listening to his muziki while baking cupcakes, and having parties!
Shining Armor: I like listening to Jimi Hendrix. He was a great musician, and-
Cadence: *Arrives* Shining, who are wewe talking to?
Shining Armor: Uhhhhhhhhh...........
Cadence: *Sees camera* What is going on?
Shining Armor: I don't know.
Interviewing Pony: Ma'am, I'm asking your husband some maswali about music.
Cadence: Oh, cool. wewe know, I like muziki too. My inayopendelewa muziki to listen to is disco.

link

Unfortunately, Disco was not as maarufu as it is today. When it was first created in the 70's, ponies began dancing to it, and they enjoyed it, but several years later, they started hating it.

Octavia: I don't know why they started getting a huge disinterest in Disco. One minute, wewe see ponies listening to it, and dancing to it, then the next, they get a huge sign that says Disco Sucks.
upinde wa mvua Dash: I hate Disco. Not only does it sound bad, but it sounds almost like the name of a villain.. au at least, he was a villain until now.
Discord: *Arrives* Did somepony say my name?
Interviewing Pony: Excuse me sir, what do wewe think about Disco?
Discord: Oh, that's the best type of muziki anypony can listen to. Not only does it sound great, but the name of that muziki almost sounds like my name. It's just missing an R, and a D.
upinde wa mvua Dash: Hey, those are my initials! *Laughing*
Discord: *Laughing* Good times Dashie. Good times.
Twilight: Man, Disco is for black ponies like me. It's almost like rap, but it has no swearing in it au anythin.
Shining Armor: As wewe probably guessed, my wife loves Disco.
Cadence: *Dancing to Disco* Come on Shining, dance with me!
Shining Armor: No thank you, my legs hurt.
Twilight: Man, wewe haven't shown us any rap yet! Get some rap, get some rap.
Black Ponies: Get some rap! Get some rap!

link

When it was invented in the 80's, rap became maarufu for African Equestrian ponies living in the hood. There were some ponies that had children who would listen to this kind of music, and they wouldn't be happy about it.

Octavia: It was like the 50's all over again. A new type of muziki is created, and ponies get angry about it, because it was maarufu with teens, and several young adults.
Vinyl Scratch: inayofuata to dubstep, this is the best type of muziki to listen to. Why would ponies just get angry over it?
Twilight: Man, 4get them haterz. If they wanna get angry about a certain type of music, we n*ggas are gunna kill dem.

kwa the 90's, it got even zaidi popular, but it would also inspire a young gppony, pony to become a musician.

link

A gppony, pony named Marshal Mathers, better known as Eminem started rapping sometime in the 90's. Much of his childhood was rough, but when he first found out about rap, he decided to give it a try.

Twilight: Man, he ain't black, but he's good.
upinde wa mvua Dash: During the early years of the New Millenium, he got really famous. Rolling Boulder magazine put him in 82nd place for juu 100 greatest artists of music.
Cadence: Did wewe know that Eminen got his own movie?
Shining Armor: Actually, I didn't know that.
Cadence: *Smiles, and turns her head towards Shining Armor* Of course wewe don't. *Looks away, and frowns* Idiot.

Eminem became so popular, that a movie was made based off of the beginning of his career, and he starred as himself. The Movie was named 8 Mile Road, which was also the name of one of his songs, and named after one of the roads in Detroit.

Vinyl Scratch: One of the songs featured in the film got a academy award for best original song. It was called Lose Yourself, the song was called that.
Octavia: Although the film was a massive success, both financially, and critical.
Twilight: Man, it's like I alisema before. He ain't black, but he sure knows how to rap. Kanye West must've taught him how to be dat good.
Spike: *Arrives* Twilight, did I hear what I thought wewe said?
Twilight: Wat wewe talkin bout?
Spike: Eminem never learned how to rap from Kanye West. He learned kwa himself.
Twilight: Man, don't go making up lies Spike. Now go to yo room!
Spike: What for?
Twilight: 4 talkin back! Where'd wewe hear dat anyway?
Spike: The internet.
Twilight: Man, wewe can't believe everythin on da internet. *Goes on internet via laptop* Oh cool, my first album got a lot of.. Negative reviews?! Aw man.

Today, everypony listens to music. No matter where they are, what they're doing, most of the time they are listening to music. Yet another new type of muziki was created just a few years ago.

link

The new type of music, is dubstep. Most songs in this category of muziki are remixes of any song chosen. Vinyl Scratch is the best dubstep player in Equestria, and loves her job.

Vinyl Scratch: Nopony can beat me when it comes to operating a bass, besi cannon. I'm literally unstoppable!
upinde wa mvua Dash: She hasn't been defeated kwa anypony yet. I don't think she ever will be defeated.
Octavia: Although I'm not particularly a huge shabiki of Vinyl's taste in music, I do like the fact that she beats ponies in competitive music. If she likes it, that's all that matters.
Twilight: Man when it comes to dubstep, Vinyl's alright. But when it comes to rappin, dat's my job.
Pinkie Pie: Nein! Das ist mein job!
Twilight: Man, stop speaking in german!
Pinkie Pie: But I am german.

Vinyl Scratch has competed in many competitions of music, and is undefeated. She plays good, and has hundreds, of thousands of ponies all around the world supporting her.

But there are some ponies that don't like her music, mostly because they're not into dubstep. Like everypony, they have their own opinion on what they like to listen to, and they like it.

Country muziki is maarufu down south, au with ponies that like to be called red necks. They get offended if wewe call them a hillbilly.

Rock & Roll has been here to stay for sixty years, and you'll find hundreds of concerts around the world.

Most concerts have jazz bands playing a variety of muziki created over the past hundreds of years, au they get creative, and decide to play a song that nopony has ever heard in jazz.

Theme songs for TV shows, and sinema are also maarufu to listen to, if wewe have them on a CD, au hoofheld device such as an I-pod, au a MP3 player.

But no matter what type of muziki wewe like to listen to, always remember, that sooner au later, a new type of muziki will be created someday.

The End.
