I'm pretty sure quite a lot of people wonder why anyone would like Gina/Queenie, so I decided I'd share why I like her so much.

To start of I'd like to say Lana Parrilla plays her so well. Lana is the reason I started to upendo her. I have seen so many portrayals of the evil Queen but no one has aliyopewa her as much depth au character as Lana. Even if a person doesn't like Gina they could at least admit Lana does a real good job; her eyes are very expressive, wewe can tell exactly what Queenie feels jut kwa looking at them. She also has this ability to change her voice tone according to whom she is portraying, Gina au Queenie. Lana is one of those actresses who can make wewe upendo and hate a character at the same time.

Secondly I upendo Gina's complexity.  I really like a character with a lot of depth. One would think she's evil, just evil but behind that there's a back story, a legit reason for her way of thinking. We've got woman who is just as miserable as those she cursed, unlike most portrayals of the Queen Regina was hurt kwa her own curse (the loss of her father). She goes from Disney's typical heartless vileness to someone who is actually conflicted about her actions; whilst Disney's Queenie had no regrets about killing Snow, OUAT's Queenie cried when killing her father. It's a bit hard for a view to tell exactly how Gina feels when she has such conflicted feelings.

That's another reason I upendo Gina, she isn't as evil as she seems; deep down she just wants upendo and happiness. She's misunderstood and and almost a victim herself, she tries her best to find happiness she just approaches it the wrong way. After all she tries so hard to gain upendo and affection from Henry; she buys him nice toys and comic vitabu and built him a new playground yet he doesn't care. She hasn't really even shown signs of physical abuse. People get so mad about her sending Henry to therapy but she just doesn't want Henry to hate her so much. Gina is the reason he lives in a mansion rather then some foster home. Gina also tries to keep him safe, most mothers would be alarmed if a strange woman who was in jail before (birth mom au not) came into town threatening to take her son away. Part of the reason Gina keeps Henry away from Emma is because she doesn't want him to get hurt. I wouldn't say that that's particularly evil. Another reason I believe she isn't as evil is because unlike most villains she has the capability to love. The only reason her curse worked is because she sacrificed something she loved. She did upendo her father very much but gelt that this curse was the only way out of her misery. She was also able to upendo the genie; but it was one of those forbidden upendo cases, she was already married so loving the genie almost wasn't an option. She cared enough about him to try to save him from a possible execution. Even if that meant telling him she never loved him.
Gina had also loved Graham I doubt she would've punched Emma in the face for stealing him if she didn't care. In the end Gina/Queenie pretty much always loses loved ones she's just one of those people; the harder she tries the further away her Marafiki family and lovers seem to fade. I like the fact that she does have to potential to redeem herself.

In that sense she is someone people can relate to. The need for upendo and happiness is something everyone has. I like that I can relate to her; trying to find happiness and such. One can also  relate to her desire for revenge. Most people have sought out revenge at least once in their life. I'm pretty sure a lot of people can to being in an unhappy relationship au at least something as simply as being locked in their room (maybe not kwa their husband) but kwa an angry mom who found out they were dating that boy they weren't supposed to.

I also enjoy a vileness with a brain. She is smart and cunning. She doesn't just sit around watching others do her work for her she makes plans and carries them out herself. Queenie was smart enough to come up with this big curse and keep it going strong for years. She is smart enough to trick Emma making her look good (when she built the playground). And how she was smart enough to get Mr dhahabu to tell her his real name kwa using Chip.

That's another reason I like her; she can be humorous if she wants to be. Kidnapping Chip lol. And the fact that every time Mr. dhahabu says please she makes this priceless face and has to obey him.

I believe Regina needs some mashabiki just like every other character. I hope this at least kind of helped people see why I like her.

“I can’t let him win again.” Regina muttered. “Every single mwaka he wins.”

“Mom, I think wewe may be taking this to seriously.”

Regina turned to Henry. “He’s cheating. He has a whole duka full of nifty décor and he doesn’t even put it up for sale to the public. It’s disgusting.”

“Mr. dhahabu has done a lot worse than beat wewe in a house decorating contest.” Henry pointed out.

“Does it on krisimasi too! What kind of person cheats in a krisimasi contest! Last year’s krisimasi contest was the worst…”

Henry let her continue talking.

“Just ask Granny. Granny is mad...

Hello other Oncers. I been a shabiki of OUAT since the season 2. I binged watch on the first season during the summer prior to Season 2. I noticed online elsewhere some people crabbing about stuff like "Snow's dad abused Regina?" and I thought I should get people straight on historical stuff.

Lesson 1: Why is pre-dark one Rumple viewed as a coward? This goes along nicely with a non-OUAT topic of mine- Why do Dads in fairytales never do anything? (not counting Rapunzel's dad).

As far back as the hunter-gather area. Dads' were suppose to be the breadwinners and soldiers for their families. Kids-step...
