One day, Erin went for a walk in the forest with her dog, Rusty. Even though it was cold, the sun was shining. Overall, it was a beautiful day. However, Erin made sure she was dressed warmly. After all, it was December, and the weather could change in unexpected ways. Suddenly, it started to snow. Erin alisema to her dog, "Come on, Rusty. We better head nyumbani before it gets dark." Unfortunately, the snow was falling so hard that she couldn't see where she was going. She stepped on a loose rock, and all of the sudden, she was on the ground. She managed to get up. Her loyal dog rushed to her side. She smiled and said, "I think I'm okay, Rusty." Soon, she began to notice she was running out of adrenaline. That's when she began to realize she was hurt. She felt a sharp, stabbing pain in her ankle. She must have sprained it au something. She knew she had to keep on going. She managed to make it up a hill. Exhausted and in excruciating pain, she collapsed on the juu on the hill. Rusty stayed close to her to try and keep her warm. She alisema to herself, "I'll just rest for a while, but I'll have to get up and continue the journey home." A few moments later, she tried to get up, but her ankle was hurting, and she was unable to get up. She looked to her last hope, her dog, Rusty. She said, "Rusty, go get help." He whimpered. She said, "Please, Rusty! I could freeze to death." Reluctantly, he ran off to find help. Erin shivered while lying in the snow. She had seen Lassie, but she remembered something. Rusty wasn't Lassie! The only thing Rusty and Lassie had in common was that they were both collies. Just then, as the snow was slowing down, she saw Rusty. Her friend, Paul, was close behind. Erin had never seen a sweeter sight. Paul rushed to her and said, "Erin, your aunt and uncle are worried sick about you. They've been looking for you. They called me to help them. Are wewe all right?" She murmured faintly, "No, I'm not." He said, "I better get wewe home." She said, "I've hurt my ankle. I can't get up." He said, "I've got you." He carried her home. Along the way, they met her aunt and uncle. Her aunt said, "Erin, we've been worried sick. What happened to you?" Erin alisema through chattering teeth, "I think I sprained my ankle." Her uncle said, "I think we better get wewe to the hospital." They wrapped her in a blanket and kept the heat on high in the car to keep her warm. At the hospital, the doctor ordered an x-ray of her ankle. Luckily, it was only a mild sprain. The doctor said, "She can put pressure on it in a few days. For now, she'll have to be on crutches, and she'll need to rest it." The inayofuata day, Paul payed her a visit. He asked, "How's your ankle, Erin?" She said, "It was only a mild sprain. I can put pressure on it in a few days." He said, "I'm glad it wasn't much worse. I'm also glad I got to wewe when I did." She said, "Thanks for rescuing me, Paul." He said, "Don't thank me. Thank your dog. If it weren't for him, I would have never found you." She said, "But wewe played a part in it, too. Rusty on his own couldn't have gotten me out of the woods." Paul smiled and said, "I'm glad he found me, and I'm glad I found wewe in time." Erin smiled. She never realized how lucky she really was. Her ankle healed completely with time, and all was well again. Erin knew one thing she would never do again: go for a walk in the forest without a human companion.

Hi, everyone! Antonia here, and this is what you've all been waiting for: this year's holiday message. Without further ado, let's get started, shall we?

We are now in the holiday season. I can't believe it's already here. It seems like we should only be halfway through the year, but here we are, heading to the finish line of 2021. This holiday season consists of quite a few firsts for me and my family.

This is Joplin's first krisimasi with us. Technically, this is her sekunde Christmas, but last Christmas, she was too young to leave her mother. We brought her nyumbani in January this year. She will...

The doctors did keep Una in the hospital a couple zaidi days just to make sure she was okay, but to Everett and Una it was already clear she'd recovered. She started feeling impatient to get out and start doing things again, though Everett suggested they maybe not try hiking in the snow anymore, at least not this year. Instead they discussed a trip to the skating rink for later in the winter. Everett stayed with Una in the hospital as much as he was able to, and they entertained themselves with the sinema Una had brought.
The only thing worrying Una is when she decided she really should call...

"Una! Where are you?!" Everett had been searching for Una for what seemed like hours. The wind almost knocked him over several times. Still, he wasn't about to give up. He had to find Una. Everett had not eaten since breakfast. Although he had plenty of chakula to eat, he couldn't eat a thing. He was too worried about Una. She hadn't dressed as warmly as he did. If he didn't find her soon, she'd be done for. Soon, the snow stopped, much to his relief. Finding Una would be easier now. It was getting dark. Everett reached for his flashlight and turned it on. It was so bright, he could see everything....

The wind and the snow were bitterly cold. Una didn't know how long she had been out there, with no shelter and very little to keep her warm. Her shoes were soaked through, she could hardly feel her toes, and her fingers were frozen stiff. She could feel tear tracks hardened on her face as the wind stung her cheeks.
She had to do something to stay warm. She'd tried to keep moving, something telling her that to stop and rest in this weather could be fatal. But she was exhausted, each step zaidi and zaidi of a struggle as the snow rose higher and higher. And who knew where she was going, if she was...

The snowfall began to get heavier and heavier. Una and Everett tried to stay together, but the blizzard kept blinding them. Without realizing it, they became separated. Although the snow was blinding, there was no shelter. The young couple knew they had to get back to civilization and find a warm place. They pressed on for what seemed like hours. Finally, Everett saw a familiar sight. It was the town near the mountains. The hotel where he and Una were staying was in sight. Everett breathed a sigh of relief. He exclaimed, "We made it, Una! We made it!" There was no response. "Una," he called...

"Everett, watch this!" Una leaped off the hiking trail and slid gracefully into the light snow covering the ground on either side, kicking up a light spray.
He laughed. "Careful there, Una."
"Aren't I always?" She grinned at him teasingly before tossing a handful of snow up in the air. "I upendo this. It's so beautiful up here." She sighed. "My family never really took vacations like this."
"Well, we can take lots," Everett replied without thinking. Wait, what had he said?? He and Una were officially together now, yes, but they hadn't talked at all about how "serious" they were, whether they was...

It had been nine months since Una and Everett first met. Though they didn't really need a break from anything at this point, with the both of them pursuing their dreams, they decided to go on a winter trip near the mountains. That morning, Mrs. Stratton had fixed a hearty breakfast for Una. Mrs. Stratton asked, "Are wewe excited for your trip, dear?" Una said, "You bet! I've never been so close to the mountains before. I can't wait to go hiking in the snow." Mrs. Stratton said, "You be careful when wewe go. I've heard it can be very cold there." Una said, "Don't worry, Mother. I won't be going...

Hi, everyone. Antonia here, and today, I am sharing some exciting news! My sekunde Gerberian Shepsky, Joplin is no longer a little pup. She is one mwaka old.

That's right. Joplin turned one today (November 12). It seems like just yesterday when I brought her home. She was just an eight-week-old puppy. She is now a young adult. Basically, she's a teenager. Joplin was a bit of a handful when she was younger. She's still a handful to an extent, but she is calmer than she was when I first got her.

Joplin still gets into things, but not like she used to. She still gnaws on things, but she's much more...

Hi, everyone! Antonia here, and I found this Q&A orodha while looking around the Internet. I know everyone loves doing these. I'll start, and I'll include the link so that wewe can try it yourselves. wewe don't have to answer the same maswali I did. Without further ado, let's get started, shall we?

1. What is your inayopendelewa memory of your childhood friends? I have so many great memories. If I had to pick one, though, I'd have to pick the time that Paul (RocknRollSoul60) and I met Jan (60smusicluv) for the first time when we shielded her from some bullies.

2. What is your inayopendelewa junk, taka food?...

A few days later, Everett came to see Una again. He came just as she and her mother were finishing breakfast, and Mrs. Stratton smiled to see how quickly Una jumped from her kiti, kiti cha and ran to let him in.
“Everett!” She beamed. His blue eyes lit up at her reaction to seeing him, and he reached out as if to pull her into a hug, then stopped as if wondering if that was too much right now. Una grinned and wrapped one arm around his shoulders in response. “Come in! We still have some pancakes if wewe want some – I'd take one, Mom makes really good ones – how are you??”
“Great,” he told...

As Mrs. Stratton, Una, and Everett sipped their tea, they talked quite a bit. Mrs. Stratton asked Everett about his chosen career path. He told her about his passion for film editing. She listened intently. She began to rethink Una's passion for acting. Mrs. Stratton then asked Una, "Is uigizaji what wewe really want?" Una said, "Yes, Mother, it's all I've ever wanted to do." Mrs. Stratton said, "If this is what wewe really want, I promise not to stand in the way of your dreams." Una said, "Well, one of my dreams is to keep seeing Everett." Everett blushed. Mrs. Stratton said, "I think that's wonderful....

Una might have been nervous about coming nyumbani after her fight with her mother, about what she would say to her mother and what her mother would say to her once they saw each other in person, about whether she would be able to pursue her dreams again au if things would just go right back to how they were before. But it was just so hard to worry about anything when Everett was there beside her. He was so steady and reassuring, and there was just so much to talk about with him around. They talked zaidi about sinema and about all sorts of other things, too. (It turned out they liked almost the same...

"Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be an actress. I always dreamed of the siku when my name would be in lights, and I would be starring in big films. In school, I participated in every school play, except for the time I had the flu, but that's another story. My father always supported me, and he regularly encouraged me to pursue acting. He would even playfully ask for my autograph. My mother never encouraged me to pursue acting. She wants me to go to college, even though going to college doesn't guarantee I'll get a job. Unfortunately, my father was taken suddenly when we went out...

An saa au so into her walk, Una was beginning to regret her decision. It was hot, her feet hurt, she was thirsty and hungry and tired of carrying her bag all this way, and she was fairly certain she'd greatly misjudged the distance between here and Hollywood.
A fleeting thought crossed her mind – her mother had tried to contact her. She could call her mother to come and pick her up... au even to give her a lift the rest of the way... No. Una shook her head firmly to drive the thought from her mind. Her mother would never agree to drive her to Hollywood. Una didn't need her mother's help,...

When Mrs. Stratton managed to pick herself up off the couch, she attempted to get herself together. She needed to find Una. Mrs. Stratton knew that calling the town cops would be a waste of time. After all, Una was eighteen, and even though she left without telling anyone, in their books, it did not count as running away. Mrs. Stratton looked to see if Una's cellphone was gone too. It was. With a heavy sigh, Mrs. Stratton attempted to call her daughter. There was no answer. It went straight to voicemail, which meant that Una had turned off her phone. Mrs. Stratton's moyo sank. Una must've...

Mrs. Stratton woke up early the inayofuata morning. She had been tossing and turning all night, unable to sleep. She couldn't stop thinking about her fight with Una.
She hadn't meant to upset her daughter. She had only wanted to make sure Una had a stable, secure future, to make sure Una did what was best for herself. Una had ambition and confidence, and Mrs. Stratton admired that. But, Mrs. Stratton thought, Una was too young to see how the real world worked. She still lived with her head in the clouds. Mrs. Stratton couldn't let her daughter reach for something unattainable only to come crashing...

Mrs. Stratton said, "That's nice." After a pause, she said, "Today was the deadline to apply for college. Have wewe done that?" Una replied, "No, Mother." Mrs Stratton was enraged upon hearing this. "Why not? Una, wewe need to secure your future. How do wewe think I got my job as an accountant?!" Una said, "Mother, I don't want a boring dawati job. I want to entertain people. I want to see my name in lights." Mrs. Stratton said,...

Ever since she could remember, Una Stratton had loved to act, and she had loved to have an audience.
She was the first to volunteer to read anything aloud au speak in front of the class in school, and she was well known there for her loud, clear, confident voice. She would make big, sweeping gestures as she did, and made sure to emote even if she was kusoma a textbook page. She loved to pretend she was the main character in her favourite vitabu and sinema and TV shows, and she would set up her stuffed wanyama to represent the other roles for her, au later enlist some Marafiki to round out the...

3. Do wewe stay indoors au outdoors zaidi in the summer? It's an equal amount of both.

4. What is your inayopendelewa ice cream flavor? It used to be strawberry, but now it is Ben & Jerry's karanga siagi Half Baked....
