I have been wanting to write this for a while so here it goes but i will get some hate. Movie Hermione is frankly very bad. She's too well dressed (I always pictured Hermione sticking to school uniform, and at the very most t-shirts and jeans), and she wears make-up all the time. Worst of all they give her ALL OF Ron's LINES (I can't be the only one sick to DEATH of seeing poor Rupert Grint standing and grimancing all the time. Her Hair Bushy? zaidi like primped and straightened to PERFECTION and BlONDE! Emma Watson played Emma Watson, not Hermione.(after 2nd movie she told the crew she wanted to be prettier and not have bushy hair) She's far from my ideal image of Hermione, and it goes beyond her physical appearance. To me, movie Hermione simply is just lavender brown with some smarts. She isn't the hysterical, school-obsessed girl that we know and upendo from the books. To sum it up, i just don't like Emma as Hermione and that she ruined it. (also steve kloves is at fault for making Hermione have just so perfect)

So I want everyone's opinion about this and am i being too harsh on Emma?

Beatit i can't agree. Maybe she doesn't have big teeth and so bushy hair but she's not blonde perfect make-up girl. Everyone is kinda different from the book ones but the film is not about to find the most similar look person. And in books Hermione was not so ugly even Harry said in one of the lastest books that she looks nice. Movie Hermione might be not completely books Hermione but for what watch the film if i would be the same as books? For me Emma did her job well;) and Hermione in the movies is not obsessed with school? Have we watched the same movie?

RomioneOTP I mean yea maybe they should of made her more like the books but overall i think Emma did a fantastic job and loved all her chemistry with Rupert <3

Flickerflame Most of that stuff isn't Emma Watson's fault though. She wouldn't be able to choose which lines were given to her instead of Rupert Grint, or the character traits they decide not to portray as strongly. Even if she did ask to be beautified up, I'd imagine the producers and directors would want the same, to increase appeal. I have to agree though, movie Hermione wasn't as I'd imagined her while reading.

Nanniiee Movie Hermione was how I imagined her when I was reading, not exactly the same but none of the character were. I think Emma did it very well.

elizabethmouse I agree, Hermione's hair was literally brown in the books not blonde.They seemed to lighten her hair more with each movie.They also made her Yule Ball robes pink when they were blue in the book.In the book Hermione looked stunningly beautiful and different from her usual homely appearance at the yule ball ,but in the movies there was no difference because they had already gotten rid of her big teeth and defrizzed her hair.
