It's Complicated Chapter Nineteen
Jasper's POV
I could not get Lila out of my head. Her name was beautiful, her smile was beautiful, and she was beautiful. Everything about her was beautiful. Not to even mention her voice, it is so soft and sweet. She is amazing. I had only talked to her a little bit but I wanted to know everything about her. She amazes me.
I got to school early today. I wanted to see. I wanted to talk to her but I was to shy too. It may seem odd that I am shy. I am usually never shy. But there is something that makes me just look at her and study her. Lila is hard to read. I do not know anything about her and if I want to know something about her. I have to ask. But that is okay. I do not mind.
I was hoping that today she would talk to me.
As I saw her pull up to her parking place she looked mad. Her jaws were clinched tightly and she was gripping the handle bars really tight too. I wonder why those guys make her so upset? I do not even know her story but I do not want to pressure her to tell me. I want her to tell me in her own time.
"Hey Jasper." Lila alisema softly as she passed.
"Hey, how are wewe feeling?" I asked as I suddenly remembered about her head.
"I am fine, like it never happen. But I am still mad at my step brother and his dumb friends." She said.
"Oh I am sorry." I said. "Would wewe like to talk about it?"
"Maybe later, thank wewe though." She said.
"What about lunch? Would wewe like to sit with me at lunch?" I asked hopeful.
"Sure, it's not like I have a meza, jedwali full to sit with." She alisema half joking till she realized it was true.
"You know it is okay to be a loner at times." I said. "It happens to me too."
"You a loner?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yep." I shrugged.
"Okay, well I will see wewe at lunch." Lila smiled.
"Sounds like a plan." I alisema happily.
I found Lila sitting at her usual meza, jedwali all alone.
"May I sit?" I asked.
"Sure." She said.
"How were your classes?" I asked.
"They were okay, I guess." She laughed. "How about you?"
"They were good." I said.
"So wewe like school then?" Lila asked as she made a funny face.
"It is all right. I am not a huge shabiki but it is all right." I said.
"Oh okay. I am not even a shabiki of school. If Billy would let me drop out; I would." She said.
"Billy? wewe call your father kwa his first name?" I asked as I thought it was odd.
"No, Billy is not my father. He is my guardian. My family died when I was little and Billy got custody of me." She said.
"Oh I am so sorry. I did not know." I said.
"It is fine. Do not sweat it. It is no big deal." Lila shrugged.
"It is weird sometimes being adopted, isn't it?" I asked.
"Yeah, I do not belong with Billy and Jake that is for sure!" She stated. "Wait, wewe are adopted?"
"I am. I was adopted when I was baby though. I do not even remember my real parents. So as far as it goes my parents are really my parents." I said.
"But do wewe not ever feel like wewe do not belong in family?" She asked.
"I do sometimes but then I remember all the likenesses between me and my family." I stated.
"Wow, wish I could do that." I said.
"Why do wewe think wewe cannot do that?" I asked curiously.
"Because I am nothing like Billy and Jake. My family is so messed up. Everyone is uigizaji weird. Keeping secrets from me." Lila said.
"Oh I see. I am sorry." I said.
"Me too." She muttered.
"Well there is the bell." I alisema as the be rung. "May I walk wewe class?"
"Sure." She smiled brightly.
I walked her to class to be nice and a gentleman. Even though we have the same class. I liked Lila, she is...different.
