Location: Same as the original, but most of the video takes place in this lonely diner where Taylor meets her ex
Synopsis: Taylor meets her ex just to catch up but really she wants to give him a letter about how sorry she is they broke up. He forgets his koti, jacket in which she put the letter and so she goes to give it back to him. When he reads the letter, he realizes that they made a mistake and wants to tell Taylor that, but she’s already left…
1st part: The muziki – We see this out of the place field and its all white (it’s winter). We zoom in to see this diner there and Taylor is looking through one of the windows waiting for her ex to onyesha up.
The 1st paragraph: I’m so glad…I left them there to die-
As she starts to sing “I’m so glad”, we see the guy coming towards the diner. At "I haven't seen them", the guy comes in and the two sit down at a table. The two start talking and Taylor is imba the lyrics but she's not looking at him. At "Your guard is up", she slowly looks into his eyes, the camera zooms into them (the eyes) and we see a flashback where the guy gives Taylor roses but she leaves them there (his happens when the lyrics "You gave me roses and I left them there to die" come up). At this, the first part finishes.
CHORUS: But this is me…all the time
At pride, the guy gets up to attend a personal call and she gets up too. He excuses himself and her eyes follow him to the other side of the diner. She's imba the chorus all this while.
The 2nd paragraph: These days I haven't been sleeping…I gave wewe goodbye
The scene shifts to Taylor's bedroom, it's dark and the only light coming from the window. She's lying on the kitanda and she's staring at the ceiling and singing. At 'When your birthday', she pushes her blankets off and sits on her kitanda staring at her phone which she has picked up. We can barely see her face from the light of the window and her phone. At 'and realized I loved you', she switches on her lamp and starts uandishi a letter (it's implied that the letter is written to her ex).
CHORUS
The scene shifts back to the diner and Taylor hides a letter (the letter she was uandishi in the last scene) in the guy's koti, jacket just as he comes back. At 'what I had when wewe were mine', the guy asks for the check. After paying the check, he gets up and leaves. As soon as he's out, Taylor rushes to the window watching him walk away.
MUSIC
We see glimpses of them when they were dating.
The 3rd paragraph: I miss your tan skin…I'd upendo wewe right
She's still looking through the window and singing. At 'and how u held me in your arms', the scene shifts to her bedroom. She's sitting with her back against the kitanda and sobbing softly (but singing). At 'maybe this is wishful thinking', she walks back to the meza, jedwali where they were sitting and realizes that the guy forgot his jacket. She immediately sets off to give it back to him. It's becoming dark outside and it's snowing lightly.
The last paragraph: I'd go back in time…all the time
She's reached the guy's house and she's in the act of returning his jacket. At 'so if the chain is on your door', the guy curtly thanks her and quickly shuts the door. Taylor is very dejected but soon leaves. At 'this is me swallowing my pride' the scene shifts to the bedroom and she's still uandishi the letter. At "and I'd go back to December all the time", she looks out the window. Her eye's are moist and starts uandishi again. At 'when wewe were mine', she tears off the letter, goes out of the room, gets her koti, jacket and sets off to go to the diner where she'll meet the guy. At 'I go back to December turn around and change', the scene shifts to the guy's house and he's kusoma the letter Taylor wrote. He opens the door to see if he can still find her but the whole place is deserted. In the last scene, we see Taylor walking away. There are two tears streaking down her cheeks.
