Summertime Bliss
It was a warm, sunshiny day. Laura had been doing some jogging around the yard while George played his ukulele. As he strummed it, he sang a humorous nonsense song which went, "When I get up in the morning I'm gonna die. Get to kitanda at eight o'clock, coming nyumbani and back again, here he comes, it's Arthur Pem! Singin' ukulele blues." This made Laura laugh, and after finishing her workout, she remarked, "Nice one, daddy George!" He smiled and replied, "I'm glad wewe think so, my darling!" Laura then proceeded to drink some water and sat on George's lap. He continued smiling at her lovingly, and she did the same in return. She thought while resting her hand on his mop-top, "My father has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. I upendo how they sparkle whenever it's sunny." A couple of dakika later, George said, "I know you're looking mbele to tomorrow's road trip to Blackpool Beach, my dear." Laura replied, "Yes, I certainly am. It's going to be a splendid one!" He responded, "I'm sure about that too!" When evening came, George cooked up a delicious chajio, chakula cha jioni and packed their things up afterwards. Then, they got ready for bed. George kissed Laura on the forehead and said, "Good night, Laura, darling. Don't let the kitanda bugs bite." She responded between yawns, "Good night, daddy George. Same for you." With that, they both drifted off to sleep peacefully.
