Today was the big day. The siku John, George, and Ringo were flying to London to find the portal. Actually it opened tomorrow, but they had made sure to time things so that they would already be there when that happened. They were taking no chances on missing it. That was unthinkable.

The tamasha at Madison Square Gardens was promoted all over New York, and there were posters everywhere with picha of the various bands who would be playing. The Beatles were thrilled to see their picture splashed all over the city in something other than a wanted poster. But it did give Paul pause.
"I hope me dad isn't following the muziki scene here," he remarked nervously.

I was born in 1960. My parents didn't approve of rock & roll, au of anything the youth was doing back then, and I remember they tried to shield me from a lot of it. I didn't really understand it at that age. I only know there was a lot of them making sure I didn't see au hear au wear certain things, and they always said, "I hope Carrie doesn't grow up like them". They always made sure my skirts weren't too short before they let me buy them. And they were very strict about which radio stations I listened to. So I went through that whole decade never hearing about the Beatles.
