There was something I noticed but i'm surprised I didn't think of it earlier. People on this shabiki pop page keep saying there just like greasers. They say stuff like "I wear ripped jeans, leather jackets, Ts, and boots." But did they start dressing like greasers after they read the book? Probably? The only way I changed was that it distracted me from painful things. I was able to relate with the gang. Most people just want to be like the gang. I was kinda inspired to read That Was Then This Is Now. The only reason I did was they alisema in one of the maswali in the chemsha bongo asked "which one of S. E. Hinton's vitabu mention some of the characters from the outsiders. Right off the bat in the first chapter Curly Shepard and two of his Marafiki tried to jump one of the main characters.
