No, I think the onyesha might lose too many mashabiki if that happened. I am fairly certain the reason they even had the scene in the first place was to onyesha that Damon really does upendo Elena. He loves her enough to let her go. So they will zaidi than likely work this romance into the plot line zaidi and more.
