Daniels POV
It was 9:30pm, and I sent Veto off to bed. He normally put up and argument, but not today. He told me everything that happened at school. Poor kid. I looked around for my cell, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I’m guessing Veto took it, and hes gonna text Luna--Or Reid as he calls her-- about everything that happened. I checked up on him at 10pm and he was curled up in a ball. I wasn’t sure if he was asleep, texting au crying. I just stood there, unsure of what to do, when I heard ‘’Daniel?’’ ‘’Veto? wewe okay?’’ I wasn’t sure if I should go over to him au not... ‘’No’’ he sniffled. I couldn’t seem to make my way over, with all his dirty clothes on the floor. I pushed them out of my way with my foot. I stood kwa Veto’s bed, when he turned around so I could see him. ‘’...Do wewe want to...sleep.. up there?’’ He alisema while pointing towards the juu bunk. ‘’Sure’’ I smiled, au at least tried to. ‘’I’ll go get changed’’ I alisema while leaving his room.
It was 11pm when the phone rang. I quickly got up off the kitanda and answered it.
I walked back into Veto’s room. He was sound asleep. Except for his ipod. He was playing Nicki Minaj songs really loudly. I noticed the song that was playing was ‘’We Miss You’’. That made my moyo sink.The song itself doesn’t really match the whole situation, but still. I turned off his ipod and pulled his blanket up over him. I climbed up on the juu bed, and just stared at the ceiling. Around 3am , Veto started to kick the bottom of my bed. ‘’What was that phone call?’’ I guess he was just making sure I was finally here. ‘’It was just someone asking about who lived here...’’ ‘’What do wewe mean? What are they gonna do? Are we gonna get sent away?’’ He sounded quite panicked. ‘’If I take care of you, we can stay together...’’ It was quiet for a few minutes. ‘’...are wewe gonna?’’ He asked. ‘’Of course, I’m not letting them take away my kid brother.’’ ‘’how will wewe do it? wewe can’t--’’ I cut him off, his maswali were starting to annoy me. ‘’I can get another job wewe know. And when you’re old enough, wewe can get a job too’’ We won't be living good like this anymore. ‘’can I quit school? It will be cheaper--’’ ‘’No! wewe need a good education! Its not that expensive’’ I mumbled back ‘’...Reid alisema her parents could help us out...’’ So he did take my phone after all. ‘’Veto, did wewe ask?!’’ ‘’Of course not! I told her--’’ his voice started to sound shaky ‘’...what happened... and her parents alisema they’ll give us anything we need...’’ He was quiet for a minute. ‘’...I...uh... I’m tired...’’ He was about to start crying again. ‘’Its okay Veto...--’’ Silence ‘’I’m tired too...’’ zaidi silence ‘’you don’t have to go to school tomorrow’’ I heard him laugh a little bit, that made me feel better. Things are gonna be okay. Things will be okay.
Vetos POV
I couldn’t sleep at all that night. Too many thoughts. Thoughts that scared me. Thoughts that made me feel horrible. Overall, thoughts I didn’t want to think about. It was around 7am when my alarm clock went off. ‘’...Pull up in the monster, automobile gangster...’’ I was too lazy to turn it off. I just sat there and listened to the music. When Nickis verse ended, Danny asked for me to turn it off. So I did. I looked down, to notice I wasn’t in my hoodie anymore. It was on the floor beside my bed. I guess Danny took it off. Since I was hoping to laze around today, I grabbed my pajama pants and went into the bathroom. Dannys slippers were still kwa the door. I kicked them out of the way, I don’t want another cut. Inside the bathroom, there was still bloody floss. Mind you, the blood was all dried and brown. I threw that away. I pulled my shati off and changed into my pajama pants. I figure Danny won't mind me walking around without a shati on for the day. It creeps him out how he can see my spine if I hunch over though. Whatever. I wont hunch over today. When I left the bathroom, I saw Danny just sitting there at the table. No fiber cereal. No newspaper. Nothing. I went to the fridge and grabbed the usual- an apple. I very carefully pulled out a knife, and Danny came over and cut it for me. I guess he didn’t want me cutting my finger off. I went on the computer while he cut the apple. When he finished, he brought it over to me. It was cut horribly. I alisema thanks anyways.
Shortly after breakfast, Reid called. She wanted me to come over. Danny told me I could, but I really wanted to keep him company. I invited her over instead. We didn’t do much. She basically just hugged us both and almost started to cry. She brought chakula and a small amount of cash though. ‘’Veto....’’ she alisema really quietly. We were both sitting on the floor in my room. Somehow we even found the floor Danny said. ‘’Are wewe sure wewe don’t want to live with us?’’ I nodded ‘We’ll be fine.’’ She hugged me again. Danny often wonders why we don’t go out, but I always tell him neither of us want to, we’re just friends. She started to tell me things, but I was zaidi focused on my room. It was pretty bad. Clothes everywhere. I didn’t even know I owned that much clothes. Most of them still have tags. Maybe we could sell them. Someone would buy them, right? Ugh. Theres papers everywhere too. Doodles and sketches, mostly of Nicki. I once drew Reid a picture of us for her birthday. Its still hanging up on her wall. I can never stay focused. Its always one thought to another. I kinda want a cat. Its name would be Kitty. It would be--no, stay focused, listen to Reid for once. I just sat there with my legs crossed making derpy faces.
Lunas POV
I had a feeling Veto wasn’t listening to me, so I eventually started talking about some weird stuff. I first starting talking about drugs, then serial killers, and then periods. He just nodded the whole time. At one point, I’m pretty sure I asked him if he gets bad periods, and he nodded. Clueless. Hes pretty damn clueless. Daniel called us out for lunch, we both went out to the kitchen. I told them both I had to go, and if they needed anything, they could always just ask. ‘’We wont ever need anything’’ Daniel alisema with a wide grin. Veto elbowed him. ‘’Yes we will!’’ As I left, I heard Veto say something really sad. And I seen Daniel go in for a hug. Veto shoved his face in his chest. That thought made me sad. Really sad. I hate seeing my Marafiki cry. Especially when they can't get a hug from their parents. Throughout the whole day, I just kept seeing that image over and over again. kwa the end of the day, I cried too.

I watch the rain fall but something strange happen It was blood tripping down from the wingu I wondered why the lord did that I turn to two girls with cuts on their arm I look scared at my siperiod and wonder what the kisu for my superiod cut my arm until red blood squirt out of my arm I scream of pain at the kisu cutting at my skin I fell hard to the ground hoping the pain will stop I turn to the girls like they wanted me to help them I stood up and hold my arm close watching blood drip the inayofuata time I saw them I had a scar which scratch in my skin Emo
