I was hiding around the corner, watching the hallways. Class had just been dismissed so it was about to become really crowded out here. I kept my eyes on the locker in front of me. It was Nick's. I continued to hide behind the wall, waiting for him to onyesha up. Why was I so anxious for him to onyesha up, wewe ask. Well earlier this week that varmit had shoved me in my locker. I was stuck in there for three hours. It won't too pleasant. But I'm not one to hold a grudge. I prank and forget. "What are wewe doing?", I heard someone ask behind me. I jumped and quickly turned around. "Alayna, don't go scarin me like that", I said. "Again, what are wewe doing?", she asked. "Oh, I put a firecracker in Nick's locker that will go off once he opens up the door", I answered. She put her hands on her hip and gave me a disapproving look. She was probably about to give me some lecture about how unsafe that was. "You do know that his locker is on the other end of the hall, right?", she said. "Daggone it. So, who's locker is that?", I asked. "How should I know", she alisema walking off.
I turned back around and noticed someone walking up to the locker. "Don't open that!", I yelled as I ran out from behind the wall. "What?", they alisema confused. But it was too late. I pushed them out of the way, falling to the floor in the process. The firecracker shot out of the locker making the most awful noise. "Wha..What happened?", they asked. I looked down to see a girl. Her redish machungwa, chungwa hair covered her face. I stood up and grabbed her hand, pulling her up. "Sorry bout that. I...", my voice trailed off as she pulled her hair out of her face. She looked up at me, confused. Her eyes met mine. They were so green, like a pasture in the middle of June. "I..I", I stuttered. I couldn't talk. I tried my hardest but I couldn't get any words to come out. All I could do was stare at her.
We never spoke a word but every thought she had I heard from across the room....
We were standing face to face, I couldn't find the words to say...give me one zaidi move
I don't even know her name...I guess foolish pride's to blame
"Are wewe okay?", she asked. "uh..yeah", I alisema snapping out of my trance. I bent down and picked her stuff up off the ground. "Here", I alisema holding out the vitabu and papers. She smiled the sweetest smile. "Thanks", she alisema taking the stuff. The kengele rang. "Oh, I'm going to be late. Bye", she alisema as she began to rush off. But she stopped and turned back. "I'm Guin, kwa the way", she alisema before turning around and rushing off again. "Bye..Guin", I managed to say but she was too far to hear me.
Now I'm fallen in upendo as she's walking away
and my moyo won't tell my mind to tell my mouth what it should say
May of Lost this battle and live to fight another day,now I'm falling in upendo as she's walking away...
~A Couple Months Later~
Me and Marcus were playing football in the field beside the lunch area. Well we were zaidi just throwin the ball back and forth. As I threw the ball I saw Guin out of the corner of my eye. She was walking out with her lunch and a bunch of papers. I watched her walk over to a table. She was so graceful, like she was walkin on air. The wind blew the few strands of hair she didn't have pulled up in her face. I smiled to myself as I gazed at her. I had completely forgotten about my game with Marcus and didn't remember until I felt the football hit me upside the head. "Ow", I alisema rubbing my head as I picked up the ball. "My bad", Marcus laughed as he walked over. "But maybe if wewe paid as much attention to the ball as that girl over there wewe would of caught it", he said. I just shrugged. "Why don't wewe talk to her?", he asked. "I can't", I argued. "I get nervous every time I get near her", I explained. "What, Travis not wanting to talk to someone? It must be a cold siku in hell", he said. "I don't see wewe talkin to Alayna", I pointed out. "That's completely different", he agruged. "Now get over there", he alisema pushing me towards the lunch tables.
Wise man inayofuata to me did say, bout the one that got away
Son I missed my chance...
Don't wewe let regret take place of the dreams wewe have to chase,
ask her to dance...
wewe might fall down on your face..
roll the dice and have some faith..
Don't be fallin in upendo as she's walking away
when your moyo won't tell your mind to tell your mouth what it should say
May of Lost this battle and live to fight another day
Don't be fallin in love..as she's walking away
I stumbled mbele and fell right inayofuata to the meza, jedwali Guin was sitting at. I quickly jumped up and began to turn back. "Hi Travis", I heard her say. I turned back around to look at her. She was smiling that amazing smile. "Uh...hi", I alisema waving slightly. "Did wewe need something?", she asked. "Um, no not really", I alisema rubbing my arm nervously. She stood up from the meza, jedwali grabbing her vitabu and script. "Well, I've got to get to theatre class", she said. "See wewe later", she alisema walking off.
You might fall down on your face..
roll the dice and have some faith..
Don't be fallin in upendo as she's walking away
when your moyo won't tell your mind to tell your mouth what it should say
May of Lost this battle and live to fight another day
Don't be fallin in upendo as she's walking away...
"Guin wait", I shouted running after her. "Yes?", she said. "Can...Can I walk wewe to class?", I asked. "I'd like that", she said. I smiled. "Let me get that", I alisema taking her books. "Thank you", she alisema as she warpped her arm around mine and we walked off to class.
