What effect would vampire venom have on a half human half vampire hybrid?

Their hearts beat, the females are not venomous, and their skin can be punctured with vampire teeth (I think?) So if a vampire went through the normal process of changing someone what would happen

I don't think it'd kill her like it does werewolves, though that idea was suggested in the books. The similarities between the two are too superficial. I couldn't see where venom fatality would come from.
